Edit *1 post recent 2024 visit. Food was somehow more yummier though seating seems redone which sometimes makes Friendly robo produce fun scenes of taking food to criss cross tables

Stop using the same glove for cleaning the table, taking the dishes and serve your customers with food and drinks. I made this complaint before and there are no changes made.
I will take more action if health and safety of your customers are not taken seriously.

Service is as good as non existent. Timings online and their systems are cometely mismatched. The staff do you a favor by taking your order when they first ask u to place the order online through their app not realising that that's not working. Their phones don't work.

Excellent Daal Baati Churma wow wow wow! Brilliant, crispy and huuuge Masala Dosa! Great Kothu paratha and tasty, authentic kulfi.
Also, such friendly service and clean restaurant and kitchen. Kudos to the team for running such a tight shop!

Vegjetarian meals. No attention to detail as far as service goes. Tired cutlery and crockery.

Had very good southern Indian food with great service and atmosphere. Fun for kids as there is a robot for a server

Seriously good masala dosa and the best rava kesari I have tasted. So far we could only get takeaways from here due to covid restrictions but we plan to dine in as soon as lockdown ends.

Authentic south Indian, thankfully not toned down for the west. If you don't like spice it's possible but you'll have to choose carefully, e.g. Our baby enjoys tomato and onion uttapam. Staff are always friendly and take pride in their food, for this reason we much prefer table service over the robot, which I suggest is best kept as a novelty for the kids.

Food is good, service can be improved. Robots for food delivery is fine, but need to improve on human connection, need to wait for a staff to notice for assistance. Also, sometimes do not server extras upon asking and pretending like they forgot.

Did takeaway today, and must say superb food, sambhar was very authentic and so was chutney. Will highly recommend Mini ghee sambhar idlis, Kara dosa. Keep it up!

Great ambience & good Indian food to savour South menu. Although I would have wanted to rate it 4 or 5 but had to reduce the rating coz:

1) we had to wait for 1.15 hrs to get the meal. Not until we enquired, did we know the the status.
2) to worsen the matter, we were told that we only had basmati rice with south meals. Seriously!?
3) when it's South meals, wonder why Cholla masala of North style served. Sure enough, I didn't expect this. A south meal is incomplete with proper south recipes & normal Sona masuri rice.
4) asked for warm water. Took them about 15 mins to serve.

I wish management takes it more seriously.

I have had food here before but it's a bit of hit and miss. The idlis I had weren't light and the sambar was average. Like the concept of ordering from your phone and the robot delivery.

Had a bad experience this time around. We were there in the evening to have Thali, but were told they are not serving Thali for dinner as they ran out of it. Then I overheard a conversation of a customer who is probably known to the restaurant manager wanting Thali. And a few mins later i see Thali was served to these people.

This is a classic case of discrimination. I reported this to the person serving us, and was told that he is just working there and has no control over what goes on.

Shame on you guys! Customers should be treated fairly and equally. I hope you learn this vital lesson and start valuing your customers. Not going to this branch ever.

The rude female on reception and the fact that they lost our booking almost made us walk out but I am glad we did not. While contactless ordering (per mobile phone) and contactless delivery of food (by robot) can make ordering difficult the food was amazing. Delicious, plentiful and very reasonably priced. Luckily there are a few helpful staff around (table clearers) to answer your questions regarding food items and there are small pictures on the online menu. Corkage per head on byo wine means it is cheaper to drink the wine they offer by the glass. We will go back again. This is the way of the future.

Every time I visit Saravanaa Bhavan, I see something new in their development towards safety and hygiene. And this time, I say ROBOT'S serving me. 100/95 times Robots served me, on and off if it's busy, people are serving. And food was as usual tasty.

I am a frequent visitor. Their food is excellent and far better compared to the City branch. Robot serving food is also cool.

I felt one of the restaurant managers to be defensive during crowded hours, like himself finding it hard to manage customers who couldn’t be seated, but that is fine. It is perhaps the COVID restrictions.

Generally they are good and the restaurant owner usually finds time to interact with customers during afternoon hours.

Authentic South Indian cuisine… Thali was awesome, especially Moore kulambu and potato fry. And, the best ghee rava dosa…

Don’t get me wrong, the food is great and deserves at least 4 stars. I’m rating low because today was the second time that the takeaway order didn’t have all the items. Once can be a mistake but a second time is not, hence this low rating. I only discovered when i reached home and when i called them about it there were no apologies and was asked to either come pickup the item or get a discount on my next order. Imagine your idlis and vada getting cold while you go fetch the sambhar all because somebody forgot to keep it in the bag! Very inconvenient to say the least…

Totally disorganized restaurant. They bungled our booking and had to wait a long time. They need to develop the skillals of answering the phones when busy to bevserved. They didnt have the decency aplogise
