My partner and I came to Samadhi, hoping for a few days of reflection, mindfulness and relaxation. The website does an amazing job in promoting this, however, the experience is really a nice bed and breakfast, with some lovely hosts, a few spa sessions…but all very expensive.

The positives:
We stayed in a new room and architecturally it was nice: spacious, some striking finishes and good amenities. Anna and Wayne are also lovely hosts. Anna’s meals are quite delicious and wholesome.

The negatives:
The spa rejuvenation sessions cost an additional $395 for an hour massage per person, super expensive. Massage was mediocre.
The ‘private’ meditation session was 30 minutes and with other guest. Therefore not private and also no real takeaways or training.
We asked for daily yoga sessions 2 months prior (at an extra cost), however were advised no yoga instructor was available the day before we arrived.
The bed is super soft and we either didn’t sleep or when we did, we woke up with a sore back. I spent one night sleeping on the couch to avoid this.

People come to these places, because they genuinely need help and want guidance to refocus and reenergise in their life. This is not it. Samadhi is just a nice, yet over priced, bed and breakfast.

It cost us over $1350/night, and with that you get 2 people in 1 bedroom accommodation (tv, wifi, tea, coffee), with breakfast and dinner provided, plus a 30 minute group meditation session, and 2 x 1 hour massage or clay body mask each. No yoga or consulting sessions.

In my opinion: get a top AirBnB in hepburn/daylesford for $400/night, spend $250 at restaurants/day, organise a few spa sessions in town for $400 and you have just come in $1500 under what they charge for 3 nights. Pretty sure you can find a local yoga instructor who will provide daily privates classes for $80/session too.

Sorry, but I can’t honestly recommend this to anyone looking for a wellness retreat…It’s a lovely website, with lovely hosts, and lovely wholesome breakfast and dinners, but not the wellness experience you may be hoping for. The value just wasn't there in my opinion

Had a lovely stay at Samadhi - so relaxing and peaceful. Treatments were wonderful, food was delicious and the accommodations were beautiful. I feel so revitalized after my time there. Can’t wait to return.

Nice getaway from the busyness of a the big smoke. Quiet, friendly, peaceful. Feeling refreshed after staying in this sanctuary.

I went to the retreat on my own and I truly felt so safe and comfortable. It was nice to be surrounded by nature and just to have some peace and quiet. Plus the fireplace is so amazing during winter. The team at the retreat are genuine, non-judgemental and so kind. I would 100% recommend this place if you are looking for some inner peace and some new perspectives life has to offer.

This place is perfect for anyone looking to literally retreat from the world. Just imagine waking up to gentle healing yoga session, followed by a beautifully prepared breakfast then a session with a guidance counselor and some quiet meditation. Head off and explore some of this beautiful region then pop back in the afternoon for a massage and delicious dinner. Sounds too good to be true? Well its all here at samadhi. Thank you so much Annah and Wayne for taking such good care of me. I highly recommend you just book here.just over an hour from Melbourne.

Two months ago my girlfriend and I spent 5 blissful days at Samadhi. I had not long lost my beautiful husband to a gruelling 14 month battle with cancer. Literally, my body and heart was broken. The breadth and depth of Annah and Wayne’s compassion, spirituality and experience was extraordinary. We believe they both possess the gift of being “ intuitive empaths”. One who has an innate knowledge to understand the needs of others.
Annah fed us with delicious, wholesome food that was prepared and presented with love on a plate. The massages/treatments and guided meditations were very professional and perfectly tailored to our needs. Add all this to gorgeous luxury in lovely, peaceful surroundings and a bed that literally had me floating on a cloud!

Interestingly. I noted a reviewer “Anne Finnegan” who posted a negative review 2 months ago.the same time we were staying at Samadhi! After an enquiry, I learned that this reviewer had in fact never been a guest at Samadhi in Daylesford! My only conclusion is the reviewer made an error by confusing the above retreat with another in Byron Bay.same name but no connection. Please take care when writing your reviews.

Samadhi retreat! Where do I begin!? This is possibly one of the greatest gifts I have and will ever receive. Annah and Wayne are two very talented, passionate, wise, kind and insightful people. They provided an all encompassing approach to my time here, ensuring that my very inner self could find peace and beauty not just physically at this retreat, but upon leaving and in my everyday life. I am smiling again and I have my zest back! I know my life won't be the same after this as they have helped awaken something which I won't be able to switch off. The food is incredible and the accommodation is divine (warm, inviting, easy on the eyes). I spent hours on my first day just exploring the beautiful tea in my room, the wealth of information around me, figuring out how to start a fire in the fireplace, looking at the books in my cupboard and so forth! I highly recommend this place to everyone and anyone. Thank you both for the gift you gave me.

I experienced the most peaceful and serene meditations with Wayne and Annah - they are true masters, with heart and soul. Our meditations were set inside in timeless architecture and interior design with a warm and inviting feel, but also outside amidst stunning landscaping with seasonal theme of sheer beauty, texture and colors- not to mention atmosphere and ambiance.
Nature as fine art.
I came away feeling re-balanced, calm and inspired; rejuvenated but also, re-motivated thanks to the stunning setting but also Wayne and Annah's guidance and insights.
I will most certainly be back!
Many Thanks!
