Salsa Mexican Restaurant

Been going for years to this place as it's local and my favourite go-to meal is chicken faijitas sizzling on a hot plate with the sides (cheese, sour cream and salsa). Love it as 1 of my favourites.

The frozen flavoured margaritas are refreshing as well.

The food was okay but not the best mexican i’ve had, also the lady in the kitchen threatened to kick us out for being too loud and having too much to drink even tho we were a big group that weren’t being unreasonably loud and had one fishbowl each.the young male waiter was super nice though! Wouldn’t recommend coming if you want to have a good time

After going here for 7yrs in a row was quite disappointed that the kitchen lady (owners wife?) decided that people actually enjoying themselves in the restaurant wasn’t on. Every year we are extremely patient waiting, sometimes till after food has been eaten, for drinks (cause we are a group of 12), so to be treated this way this year was a shock. Unfortunately will be looking for somewhere else to eat next year

Delicious Mexican! Haven't been here in years, but the food is still great. The service was a little slow for the food coming out to the table, and seemed the case with all other diners in the restaurant at the time. If you're prepared for that, it's worth the wait.

Shared a meal with a group of workmates in a venue Id not been to in a long long time. Pleasantly surprised. Nice food, great atmosphere, great company.
Service was good despite the number of peeps, tho we cancelled our order for desert as it was taking too ling. No biggie. Will go again.

Hugged my date in the restaurant and was made to leave by the owner. Horrid. Ruined our date night. Do not go there. Very embarrassing. Horrible experience. Food was poor.

Huge waiting, i got my order after 1 BIG hour after placing it, it seems priority is given for take away orders. If a restaurant is running well and charging these Hefty prices for meals, why not employ more staff? I could see just 3 people running the restaurant. Same person making.drinks, taking orders, cleaning tables. Totally Avoid this in peak hours for sure. Probably my last visit here

Food is straight from the packet not authenticate at all, and we are mexican. Big disappointment (shameful).

Our party of 6 had a great time at Salsa Mexico. Everyone was happy with their orders. I found it to be a bit on the salty side but still enjoyed it. We also enjoyed our carafes of frozen margaritas. It was hilarious that the young waiter decided that we had enough and took away our empty glasses after we had a few.

Fantastic little family owned restaurant. Very authentic and tasty food. Great service and lovely people.

Came here 3 years ago with mates when I was new to Melbourne and tried but failed to find it again as I didn't know my way around, by chance I found it again now moving to the area and safe to say this second time never disappointed and was as great as the last time. Great food and amazing customer service. Recommend all to this local joint and its going to be my regular

Love the food here, have been coming here my whole life. On off days though the service can be slow, but I appreciate its a small business.

Yes to this place! Delicious and genuine food. A hidden gem. We had the nachos and the enchiladas and they were packed with flavour, we are definitely coming back.

Been coming here since I was a kid with my family and still ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! Hands down, the most authentic and delicious Latin food in Melbourne. Does not disappoint!

I have been to a few Mexican places and this one was OK. The service was a little slow and the staff weren't overly friendly or helpful. The food was so OK but the presentation was a little poor. Way too much cheese and I think some of it (at least) was microwaved. Was also fairly expensive. They also don't allow the use of pressy cards.

Highly recommended! The food is delicious. My favorite is the Fajitas. The dish is rich in taste, and the portion size is very good. Thank you Salsa.

Thought we would try out Salsa in Werribee. Place was packed with patrons for a Friday evening. Entrees were ok. Disappointed with mains basic and bland Tex Mex.

Wonderful experience, best Mexican food I've had in all of Melbourne! Good service, atmosphere, and the food was great and so authentic! I'm from the States, originally, so I know my Mexican. Will definitely return, can highly recommend!
