Was told it was an hour wait which was at 630
So expecting my food at 730 but didn’t receive it for another 30 minutes
Don’t promise times if you can’t deliver
It was quite disappointing as the food was quite average as well
Didn’t have it normal taste to it

Always amazing food and great service, whether you're eating in the restaurant or ordering to take away. Looking forward to lockdown lifting so we can visit for a dine in meal.

Consistently delicious food, great service, and now they have traditional pulled masala chai! We are pretty fussy and not normally excited about any restaurants in Rowville but this tiny little restaurant in an unassuming shopping centre is the best restaurant anywhere in the area. Definitely try it.

Ordered online for a set time and was delivered 30 mins early. Normally when you get stuff early it's great! But not with food that has to then get reheated.
Called restaurant and was told nothing they can do about it.
Horrible service.

Surprisingly good!
I stumbled upon this restaurant as I was looking for a new Indian place to try, to my surprise the quality of their food was very good. We got the take away pack, although it has less variety than other packs in the area but they make up for it in quality.
Flavours were spot on, specially that I asked for different level of spice for different dishes and they adhered to if very well without compromise in taste.
The prices are a bit higher but again it's a better quality food you're getting so no complaints and it's always good to have more options.

Looking forward to dining in hopefully next year after this COVID situation settles a bit.

We came to Saffron on Kelletts to enjoy some Indian food. I asked my partner what she thought of the food and all she could say was Mmmmmmmmmmm! We had chicken Biryani, beef masala and lamb Madras. It was a LOT of food and top knotch. The staff is friendly and the food came out from the kitchen quite fast.
We really recommend this place.

Previously had absolutely loved this place. Moved house and haven't had it in twelve months. Super excited to get home and eat it tonight. Open it up, portions are smaller, food is not as good. Just not what it used to be. Disappointed to say the least.

From an owner very experienced in the area, this is delicious, hearty food, superb value and a pleasure to eat. Having dined in three times and enjoyed take away a number of other times, we have NEVER had anything but a great dinner. Richness, balance, and an incredible diversity of traditional multi regional bread styles to accompany. Friendly and polite service every time.

My wife and I are regulars at Saffron, we think it is one of best Indian Cuisine restaurants in Melbourne. Why do we keep coming back, you may ask?

Well, simply put, if you want to eat some of the best, authentically made, Indian Cuisine in Melbourne, this is the place to come! The Chef and Kitchen are very talented and repeatedly cook outstanding dishes. My favorites are the numerous Lamb and Goat dishes. I can tell that they use outstanding cuts of meat, and fresh produce, which is why their dishes are so amazing! I also take my hat off to the delicious Samosas and Deserts (yes, I have a sweet tooth)!

The staff at Saffron Cottage are always friendly, attentive and helpful. The restaurant isn't too large, and thus it offers a more relaxed and intimate environment to dine, which is what we prefer.

I wish I could eat the food from Saffron nearly every day of the week, though I keep hearing about the importance of a balanced diet! Haha!

5/5 for Saffron. Hard to beat!:)

I ordered a vegetable curry and coconut rice -
It was delicious!
So glad I found this place, I will definitely be back to try more dishes.

Ordered three vegetarian dishes, cheese and chives and garlic naans for takeaway three days ago. Every dish was absolutely tasty. In short, they were delicious having different masalas. Unfortunately, they were a bit pricey considering the quantity. That is why four stars.

Didn't even know Saffron on Kellett's existed! 11 years in Melbourne and have just found a gem of a restaurant! The food was fantastic! Not one thing to criticize. The restaurant was clean and the restaurant manager was very friendly! Definitely going back again! Loved it!

Food lovely and good service EXCEPT.we ordered coffee at the end of the night and were told they had " run out of milk". There was an open supermsrket NEXT DOOR. No effort at all to rectify issue. They started packing everything up early and seemed keen to get us out. Food beautiful. Friend stated " best Indian she's ever had".
Lovely quiet atmosphere and great selection of food. Great vegetarian options.

Family and friends been coming to this little gem for years, never has disappointed, owner has always been a delight and Jess our favorite waitress cant say enough about her, great team all round, chefs have a magic touch, Traditional indian food with flavors that are always consistent, try each dish different taste and always a hapoy environment.
