Lovely staff. Huge store, with also has a designer section. I definitely recommend this place.

Great Op Shop, particularly if you're looking for well organized and good quality books.

Worst op shop ever! Went to try some items on and while I was hanging the items that I didn’t want outside the fitting room, this rude old lady was waiting outside asking me impolitely to return all the items where I got them from. I then politely said, I’ve seen a few items out here before but you didn’t say anything to them. So I said ok I’ll put them back for you, she then shockingly said no, do it for you not for me. She sounded like an angry mother telling her child to clean up the mess. Shockingly nasty! What made it more interesting is that the manager was there and just silently watching the whole incident.didn’t say a thing to this particularly rude old lady for this kind of treatment. Seemed like this kind of treatment to customers is pleasantly accepted. I still went and pay for the items that I wanted, and the so called manager was at the register yet totally ignored me. I had to call another lady to let me pay.

I’ve been to many op shops but this one is uniquely full of rude staff including the manager himself.

This place isn’t worth even a dollar out of your pocket if what you’ll get is this kind of behavior from the staff. They’re not pleasant nor polite to their customers. Yes it’s cheap, but people still spend money on things!

It's a nice little store with loads of fun finds. Expectedly, the prices are great!
Some comments have noted that staff are rude. It's partly true, but not to the point where I won't return.

Possibly the worst shopping experience I’ve had in quite some time. Very rude staff member told me to call back the next day at 10am about an item that was not yet priced for sale in the window however when I call back later the item is sold! An extremely demeaning and annoying experience. Having to beg to buy an item for my daughters bedroom from a charity store seems odd. I believe this place is a plaything for the manager to dress. Just awful and it appears I’m not the first person to be on the wrong end of the unpleasant staff.

Good shop. A bit messy but you can generally find stuff. Some things are appropriately priced but some things need to be priced as “people’s old unwanted stuff” and not brand new. Especially since they get it all for free

I love some of the great finds I’ve got at this op shop. However, the last few times I’ve been here the staff have been incredibly rude. Which was really odd. I had a lady last weekend snap at me for not having my Sacred Heart Mission Card on me and supplying my phone number instead. She then proceeded to walk off as I was paying to go sit on her phone. I had no idea if she was coming back, or if I needed to wait for my receipt - it was weird. A few weeks before that I had a man snap at me for not having my card on me either. I don’t carry a purse. Salvos, Vinnies and other Sacred Heart Mission’s have no issues with finding you on the system with your phone number - I have no idea why this one has such an issue or why they have to be so rude about it.

Sad to give a charity one star but the Store Manager here is shockingly rude. I asked about returning an item (have the receipt and the tag is still on it, also within seven days of purchase) and was told no, no exchanges, no nothing. I was confused because I’ve returned things in the past at two other sacred heart stores. So when I questioned why South Melbourne was different I was told to “stop thinking about yourself and start thinking about the charity”. Wow. It was a $30 item and I try not to make a habit of returning things (generally I just redonate them) but I couldn’t believe that an inquiry about exchanging an item resulted in being told to stop thinking about myself. $30 for some people isn’t a small amount of money, especially in an area with lots of government-funded housing. A more considerate response of people’s personal circumstance would have been more professional.

It is a little on the expensive side considering they're selling items that have been donated, aside from that i feel the people who work there were friendly and polite.

Great range of clothing items and reasonably priced shoes. Staff are lovely and the racks are well organised. Plastic bag reuse boxes are super handy!

I had gone to this opshop a while back and it was very inviting and prices were competitive.
Now the place looks like a bingo centre with numbered items at the front of the store thrn and you go and get the price from a staff member and omg what pricing. They are an overpriced store with money on there mind. It's an opshop for goodness sake. Very poor customer service and very unkept place. Places like these are killing the shopping experience. Upon looking at the reviews it's apparent that there is a new management which is killing this store with overpriced items. Not good

Came here the other week for the first time and I was so surprised! Lots of designer items and high quality kitchenware! (first op shop i've seen so much le creuset at.) Also the staff were lovely! - Happy to have a chat and a laugh. Definitely will be coming here again!

I was refused entry to this store for not wearing a mask even though I have a (visible) medical exemption. I advised the person at the door and the store manager that they are not following the directions of the DHHS guidelines and it was against the law to refuse entry to someone who was medical exempt. They didn't seem to care and couldn't tell me whether it was a decision made by that specific store or the head office so I made a call to head office and unfortunately for them I have not heard back from them. I wish to advise what you have done is discriminatory and I will follow up with the Victorian Equal Opportunity & Human Rights Commission as well as report the business to DHHS for NOT complying with the Covid 19 DHHS directions.
Directions and guidelines goes both ways, it's not a one way street where you get to choose the way you treat people. You will be hearing from me at conciliation and should I wish to take it further I will because that is my right!

A great OP shop down the road on Bank St that will not discriminate and welcome all.

Great prices, great service.
This is one of the best Op shops in Melbourne that don't overcharge.

Not as much variety maybe than 87a Grey st-St Kilda op shop, but the staff are fantastic! They helped me with directions when I was looking for a place that I thought was nearby-they checked on their phone. Still got some nice items & the price is also reasonable-only thing about it here being it's harder to get to than 87a Grey st on public transport. Still alot better than Vinny's & Salvo's stores though!

This op shop used to be the best one in the area by far. Great stuff. BUT about 8 or so months ago they must have switched management because its now SO EXPENSIVE! There are so many times I go in and find things I want but cannot justify the huge price tag. They have pictures up on the wall that have been there for so long, no wonder when a ugly/creepy print of a clown thing is $35! No one is going to buy a picture for $35, especially a print, especially a clown. $15 for jeans, $40 for any silver jewellery, $8 for a tiny ceramic mass produced bowl. Its a massive shame. Would not reccomend. Things that should be 50c are upwards of $3

Came here after a day of op shopping for bargains and this was the most expensive. Really disappointed and to see the comparison from the other places we were in on the same day was the worst part of all.

This Sacred Heart Mission Op Shop is one of the better op shops. It's quite large and has a good ambiance and feel to it and is well laid out. Being on Clarendon Street, parking can be difficult but it's just a short walk from Park Street Stop 129 on St Kilda Tram Route 12 and Clarendon Street Stop 24 on South Melbourne Beach Tram Route 1.
