Just to say just few words about Roza Restaurant in coburg. I would says the best Middle Eastern and African food you can in join as well as the best special tea that comes from the chief (free). In simple terms its like home made food.
Just try one dish and you will definitely come back for the second meal
There food is really good. Staff is very friendly, I really recommend. Will go there again and soon
Very good food and service, reasonable price and perfect location. Nice experience at this restaurant.
Very nice place amazing people nice design and most importantly outstanding food and a very experienced chef I defenantaly recommend Roza restaurant.
Tried both chicken and lamb mandi and it's The best in the town. Harworking staff and resonable price.
This place has the best mandi rice and chicken/ lamb, and also very good service and free chai too.
Delicious and mega generous serves! Probably my favourite local middle eastern food restaurant. Highly recommended and the service is great, super kind people!
This restaurant has very good mandi, we ordered the chicken mandi and the flavor of the rice is delicious, very good service to.
My fav place for chicken & lamb mandi in Melbourne! A regular customer for the past 9 years
Probably one of the best Mandi I have ever had.
The seats are very limited as they have both sitting on floor and on chair options.
I free chai tea was delight and the complimentary soup broth was a treat till Mandi is served.
It's usually open till late, I would say it's really worth for a late night dine in.
Worst experience I ever had,
Dont have proper meat,
I had a cold mandi here.
If you wanna waste your money just visit here.
The Quality of the Soup we took in was great that's what the stars is for, but the Quantity and Quality of the service was pretty bad, they gave us a good quantity the 1st time that's why we ordered it the 2nd time but the 2nd time they gave less when asked for the quantity they took it inside and what they RETURNED with even more LESS quantity. My brother somehow ate it as it was just worth 3$ he didn't wanted to argue but I returned it back to them. They happily took it without any conscience.
As much as I like the quality this was disappointing.
They used to be good but they have lost it now. Customer service is pathetic. We ordered 6 Mandi around 4: 30pm on call and reserved it for 6: 30pm (2 hours time). At 6: 30 while we were waiting, 2 guys came and ordered 2 lamb Mandis and 1 chicken, lady comes up to us and says "oh we only have 5 Mandis", she was trying to give our food to those two and I overheard that conversation. I told her that we ordered before time and I overheard you with other customers, lady says fine we will serve your order. Now she gave them our food and adjusted our Mandis by making 6 Mandis out of 4 and two of the plates literally had bones, yes bones. I reach her and then she apologises and says they were running out of meat. She wouldn't call the manager, she wouldn't replace food nor refund. She was silent like a wall. Now mind you that we WERE regular customers visiting 3 to 4 times a week.
Same thing happened when we visited last time and the guy from inside promised that next time he will take care.
Great food, great service 10/10 would recommend. They also have a tea dispenser at the counter that allows you to drink as much tea as you want for free. They have great variety.
1st tym visit.just love it. Their chai is awesome. Very reasonably priced. We ordered chicken mandi, green salad, flavored rice and lentil soup. Along with tea twice all for just $22.
By now I have tried mandi at 3 different restaurants in Melbourne. While they have all been good, the lamb mandi at Roza Restaurant is the closest to the Yemeni style of preparation I have come across. Perfectly cooked rice (mandi and bukhari), great lamb, freshly made sauces and a hot soup are provided by the very hospitable chef. For those of you who are used to a good karak chai (tea) do try the complimentary tea on offer.
The majlis and price point are great. Shukran!
The food is very good but the girl serving there is too rude over all service is not good.
Authentic middle eastern food. I had tried their chicken Mandi and it tastes good. The price is not bad as you can get 1/4 Chicken Mandi for $10. They also serve complementary soup and tea (refillable) along with the main meal.
Staff were wearing mask but didn't saw any mask requirement for customers or max entry limit.
They are quite busy on Friday afternoons, so I have to wait to get seated but it was worth it.
Tried their Chicken Mandy ($16 for 1/2) with Mandy Rice, and Lamb Mandy ($18) with mix rice and it was delicious. 6/5 Loved that they offer complementary tea (it has similar taste to chai) and soup.
