Exceptional service, great hotel to really give you inspiration and encouragement to get out and explore Melbourne!
Great rooms with delicious food and beverages. Public transport not more than a 2 minute walk from the front entrance and location is spectacular!
Can't wait to experience the New Years celebration! Thank-you Royce Hotel for one of the greatest experiences I have had.
Definitely recommend this Hotel to everyone!

Lighting in certain rooms is a joke, to have living room lights on the bedroom light must also be on and if you turn the bed room lights of the standing lamp next to the couch is also turned off. Very irritating as partner is trying to have an early night whilst I have to sit in complete Darkness, the sliding door is also far to heavy and basically immovable without atleast 2 people. Aside from this fairly good hotel, close to tram stop and decent breakfast offering.

The room was very nice. I don't think I've stayed in a double story hotel room before (the loft), but it was remarkable. It was extremely nice and clean, and the staff were very friendly.

Excellent place to stay. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet. No buffet breakfast available but there was an a la carte menu at reasonable prices. Great spot for exploring the Botanic Gardens and an easy run into the city. Would definitely stay again.

Top quality for a great price. Especially the high end rooms. Lovely art deco feel. If you want to feel like you have escaped for a weekend without leaving the city, make The Royce part of that weekend.

Only popped in for a quick drink on a Monday evening. Beer choices were very limited but the atmosphere was fine and no problems with the service.

Stayed here for a night out in St Kilda. Great location, despite the roadworks going on.
Talk about trendy.and then some. Walk in the hotel, smells classy, you'll know what I mean when you go there. The room we stayed in (loft apartment) was superb. High ceilings (which I love), original staircase which oozed character leading to the stylish bedroom. Free movies, all channels, no charge. Mini bar refreshments of high calibre; biscuits, nuts, chips were delicious (and free for those who are asking). Talking of high calibre.in-house shampoo and soaps etc are Kevin Murphy, no need to Byo. Popped down to the bar; friendly bartender who had multiple yarns with us, made us custom drinks, was a great experience before we ventured off.
Very professional check-in/check-out service, as expected.

It's more of a boutique hotel and it's signature rooms are lovely. Convenient to the city, south Melbourne and Toorak it's well located and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Wow.stunning place. Staying in the king suite upstairs. Good lord 12/10. Clean, luxurious, smells great, incredible interior design. Friendly staff, what more can you ask for really. Truly a must try. Well worth the money. Would definately recommend and come back. Do not hesitate if you are searching for a beautiful place to stay. Perfect location only a few minutes from crown.

It’s the little details at the Royce that make it the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in in Melbourne. The rooms are so comfortable and solidly built, the TV has a great selection of free movies and chrome cast of you want to watch your own Netflix account which is so convenient. The room we stayed in had so many complimentary mini bar snacks and high end hair and body care in the bathrooms. The bath robes are so plush and soft too. Such a relaxing and comfortable experience, I will definitely be back.

This upscale hotel is a 15-minute walk from the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, 1.6 km from the National Gallery of Victoria art museum and 2.6 km from Crown Melbourne casino.

Luxe rooms and suites come with flat-screens and Wi-Fi (fee), as well as 24-hour room service, minibars, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Upgraded quarters add city views, balconies or kitchenettes, and some have whirlpool baths in en suite bathrooms.

The hotel has a refined restaurant for modern Australian fare, plus a chic bar. Other amenities include a fitness room, bike rentals and a courtyard. There's also a ballroom with a domed ceiling. Parking is free.

A great boutique hotel located about 4 tram stops from the city and st Kilda beach. Nice quiet location next to the / within walking distance of 10 minutes to the Shrine and the Botanical Gardens. The staff were very courteous and took the extra trouble to stop by our room to ask us if everything was fine. A modern well furnished room.

Nice hotel nearby the botanic garden and 10 minutes from City center with the tram. We had a nice Loft with all the facilities you expect of a vijf star hotel. Employees at the reception were very helpfull. It is a good hotel but not an excellent vijf star hotel

We chose to stay at the Royce Hotel because we love all things Art Deco, but back to that later.
If driving, when you first arrive it's probably easiest to go around the back of the hotel and park on Bromby Street, it's valet parking only so the staff will collect your car and securely park it for you. Also the staff were all friendly and helpful during our stay, there's a great on sight restaurant too (which I'll review separately) but will mention we were given drink cards which was a nice touch.
The building has lots of beautiful old world Art Deco features in the main entrance along with historical photographs.
Another bonus is it's walking distance to the botanical gardens so if you're going to an event there like we were it's the perfect choice.

Unfortunately, this hotel does not deserve 5 stars. First, after check-in at 3 PM (official check-in time) we had to wait 1.5 hours till the room was ready. The staff let us wait in the hotel bar without offering a drink. Second, nobody helped us to carry our 3 suitcases and 3 bags to the room. In a 5 star hotel, you can expect this service without asking for it. Third, the room was dated and really needs a face-lift. Forth, the included breakfast was only okay but not more, certainly not 5 star worthy. Further, not the hotel's fault, the location is a 20 minute ride away from the city center.
We can't recommend this hotel for a stay at Melbourne.

We stayed here for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were amazing - friendly, professional and ensured we were well looked after. The service was wonderful, we were provided with everything we needed. Our room was lovely. The location is close to the city and was easy to get to with the tram stop out the front. We can't wait to come back. Thank you to the wonderful staff!

Still being renovated but not interfering in your stay. Great service and very comfortable too. Close to transport links. The free drink in the bar is a bonus too.

Lovely boutique hotel, 3 minute tram ride to the cbd (tram stop right outside). Great room, clean and comfy. Staff were absolutely terrific. Nice bar area. Didn't eat there so can't comment. Valet parking was reasonably priced give the lack of parking options around the area. Will definitely be returning at some stage. My wife and I can't recommend The Royce highly enough.
