Royal Oak Hotel reviews
31Love the renovation, great food, but acoustics are a problem. It's almost impossible to have a conversation due to the noise. Hopefully some acoustic panels are in the works and we'll be back far more often.
The Royal Oak is officially back and North Fitzroy is far better for it! Unpretentious, friendly service coupled with quality pub food is a winning combination.we had a party of 11 which is always tough to manage but the staff were wonderful.definitely recommend for a birthday lunch/dinner or just a day of eating, drinking and watching the races/footy.
Lovely Pub with a rustic feel, the hanger steak was delicious, and the waiting staff were fantastic. An upmarket pub with appropriately priced drinks and meals that the whole group I was with enjoyed.
Finally, I’ve been waiting for someone to jazz this place up! First stop, very promising, outdoor area with the setting sun is delightful for spring. Looking forward to trying more or the menu.
Like this place. Nice and open and breesy inside. Great outdoor. Decent bistro pub food. Keep up the good work
Visited Royal Oak recently and the refurb is really great. Very modern and sleek, and when we visited it was very busy. The food and drinks menu was great. I had the steak and a rose and it was good.
Really like this place. Only hang up was the $36 steak was kind of half a steak, about 125g, with lettuce, no potatoes, came out sliced, low temp, didn’t really seem like a pub meal, but the bar staff are so nice I barely noticed. Great venue, great vibes.
Great atmosphere. The food is good. The Guinness is not. A lesson on how to pour Guinness would go a long way.
Lovely new renovation. It was an extremely busy night when we arrived without a booking. The staff were fabulous and accommodating. Service with a smile. I ordered the steak, that was cooked to perfection. Not many places can serve a perfectly cooked Medium Rare steak. The chef here can!
Robbie is slaying the menu with outstanding execution on dishes you just want to eat. All the finest pedigree and zero pretence. Get in and enjoy.
