Where do I begin? This pub produces absolutely amazing meals; you get a huge serving for the price, the ingredients are fresh and made to order. The service is always 100%. The staff are all so friendly. When COVID-19 hit, these guys took it as a new challenge and adapted brilliantly! You can now purchase your alcoholic beverages alongside your breakfast items, gifts, souvenirs, bread, milk, meats, cheeses and anything else you need! Meals are available Wednesday - Sunday but give them a call on Monday or Tuesday and they will make you whatever they can. I got a great pub feed on a Tuesday, made for me, plus dessert. I was in such a hurry to dig in to my meal that I forgot my Ice Cream and you know what they did? Delivered it to me! What brilliant customer service! These guys have just excelled during such a hard time and done it with a smile! They have my continued support! Good job guys; onwards and upwards!

It's an old style pub from the outside, full of history and a favorite of many. You go inside and it has a different layout from the regular pubs, dont let it stop you from trying it out, you will be delighted with the pizza's made for either eating in or takeaway, and the meals are restaurant quality at very reasonable prices. The service is friendly and professional, you must try it, I will be making this place a regular eating stop.

I have to say this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The hotel itself is a beautiful old country pub. Sadly, that's where it ended. The bistro was our family dining destination for lunch. We decided to try this place as it is one of only 4 places in town to get a meal. Upon entering, the bistro appears to be newly renovated and is clean and inviting. The menu is an A4 sheet of printed paper with a fairly standard pub list of choices. We were one of 3 groups when we arrived so it was far from busy. After immediately ordering we waited over an hour for the meals to arrive. And when they did arrive they were fairly bland. One family members meal was quite late from everyone else's. When we were about to leave we advised the manager of our experience. He obviously left his festive spirit at home because his response was far from acceptable. Shouting, walking off yelling in the kitchen and scaring the small children that were with us. So, the question is would I recommend this place? The answer is a resounding No! Visit one of the other venues where you'll get better quality food and friendly service. Or give it a shot, maybe the kitchen and the manager was having a bad day.

Great pub with friendly staff. It was fairly quiet when I went in but been told by others it can be real busy on a night. Had some food from the adjoining restaurant, highly recommend the pizza and the homemade dessert.

We've been there a few times and always had a great meal, this time when we booked they didn't say it was a part set menu for those who don't eat chips and salad it was a poor meal. Surely it wouldn't of been to hard to do some roast & steamed veggies. Hopefully next time.

First impression lovely looking inside clean, roomy, / kids area. From there all down hill. Barmaid whilst serving my husband spent her time talking to her Child and friend. Took double the time to get our drinks. On having a couple of sips on my drink noticed on my glass. (I'm not a person) so took glass back and asked for clean fresh glass. Other barmaid. 'is it your ' me do I look like I'm wearing any. 'then I get the dishwasher doesn't wash lipstick of very well. (If you no that then hand wash first and then after washing and before serving check glasses are clean. Not that hard)
Now the meal. Ordered Morocan Lamb with rice and sour cream. (bland looking and the look should have told me how this would go. DRY slight spicy taste that got saltier as I ate it. Half way through eating.waitress comes up plonks a bowl of sour cream down. 'Oh I forgot this. '. It didn't help anyway.
Carpet would have had more flavour. No return for me to this pub.
