Best hotel in the area 100%. Incredible service, amazing food and fantastic rooms. I’ve stayed in 2 of their King Suites and they were both well furnished, modern and comfortable. Dinner was delicious, I recommend the beer battered fish and having a chat with the owner at the bar. 11/10

Male bar attendant was rude and disrespectful towards my elderly mother and I. It was her first outing in 4 months, very disappointing, we travelled almost an hour to get there, what a waste of time. And yes we are both double vacinated, if he had of taken the time to speak to me, instead of yelling from the other side of the bar whilst pouring beer for other customers. Very poor attitude and no customer service.

Couldn’t believe how rude the staff member was behind the bar! We were told to sit outside even though the temperature outside was freezing. When we came in to order, we were told that they wanted to reserve the inside capacity for the TAB, even though there was only one person at the bar and another couple eating in the restaurant part. Nothing friendly or noteworthy. Don’t bother stopping here, go to the Peppercorn Hotel down the road. Friendly service and much better food. Will never come here again.

Want to just voice my disappointment at trying to support local businesses in Yea.
Wanted to go to the Royal Mail hotel for just a drink or two.however upon entering there was no welcome, a Lady at the bar talking with the owner said hello sarcastically. We asked if we were able to get a drink. This lady replied no and laughed in our faces! I wasn't impressed. The owner said nothing. Puzzled we asked again and the owner responded they were at capacity. They didn't look at capacity however we accepted this and went to leave. As we did another rude lady turned and said do you even have a yea licence. This lady was totally rude, ignorant and disrespectful. The owner didnt seem phased by her comments and neither did others!
Disgusting behaviour from all!
I won't be going back to this pub anytime soon. Infact with 3 others in town I doubt I'll ever return.
You would think after so long being lockdown that people's attitudes would be different.
Karma is such an amazing thing.

Next level parma to die for! So good to to be able to order take aways during lockdown makes life bearable!

Do not have a function here! Special area booked months in advance for a 70th birthday, we were separated and put in the middle of the pub, then rudely rushed to order our food as soon as we walked in. Probably a great place for a casual night out, but definitely not for a function.

Had the Parma and it was huge, delicious and tasty. The facilities were spotless, service good. They could do with a bigger choice of beers on tap.

Very disappointed with the service we received over easter weekend. We arrived as a party of around 10, we all ordered food and drinks as couples. Roll on 1.5 hrs and no sign of the food until we asked what was happening. We sat in the beer garden and when we went inside We noticed others that had arrived after us had already eaten. There were no apologies just an aggressive list of excuses. The food turned out to be a mixed bag ranging from below average to passable. A simple up front apology could have resolved everything.

Lovely clean country hotel. Beautiful accommodation upstairs with a separate guest lounge. Good meals, excellent attention to detail from our host.

Had a family lunch there which was booked in well in advance. Waited 1½ hours for meals to come. Very understaffed. One of our group ordered early for an early departure, but kitchen decided to serve all meals together. Nice atmosphere but sad to say, very poor service.

Food was nice. Service was a little slow, 50 minutes after ordering, when I questioned how long our meals might be the manager was quick aggressive and dismissive. That was unfortunate as the food and the decor was nice.

We didn't feel welcome from the start, with zero interaction, just stony silence & slow service.
The food was very slow to arrive, finally landing nearly an hour & a half after ordering and only because we chased it & despite others who ordered afterwards already having their food. Vegie stack was good, but fish n chips was pretty average, being luke warm with a dry salad & no dressing or tarter sauce. Complains were met with rudeness & defensiveness bordering on aggressive, especially towards females in our group.

Pleasant as always, good food delivered quickly. Slightly more separation with Covid for diners. Also outdoor area with some cover and playground.

Food was good, however took 1 hour and 15 mins to arrive. When this was raised with the owner, there was no apology - only a ‘but’. Not good service. Very disappointed

Celebrated my Granddaughters birthday there recently. When my daughter asked the owner for forks to eat the cake with she was asked "what's wrong with your hands? " My question for the owner. What's wrong with yours?

The guy who has owned it for 28yrs is really nice. Hotel Clean, tidy, great outdoor area and it has a round pool table. Food was good with prompt service.

Correct meal time signage On the door lunch till 2.30 but told they close at 2 Okay because of covid but correct your signage The publican had no personality

What it lacks in service, in this case a barman who was reluctant to take our order, it compensates for in food and drink options.

They've done a fantastic reno and the food was delicious! I had the seafood paella and the seafood was perfectly cooked. My friend was very happy with her chicken schnitzel too.
We will be back.
