Use to be great. Gone down hill sin e our last visit. Certainly won't be going back. Small servings over pri Ed. Much better value in town

Front bar unattended for lengthy periods of time, waited 50 plus minute s for a rubbish meal. Go to maccas they have better food and service.

We were driving through Horsham on Easter Monday. The place we wanted to go to was closed as most other places were. We decided to stop in here. Service was slow, the food was way below average, and the kids never got their ice-creams (included in their kids meal) despite us asking twice - we just gave up and left. And for this privilege we paid 10% surcharge for public holiday. We would have been better off going to Maccas or KFC (and I NEVER say that).

Right, well, all I can say is thoroughly disappointing.
Entrès were okay, but certainly expensive. Mains on the other hand, very disappointing. A parmi with a hair in it, a steak served without its sauce which came back piping hot with said sauce, but with freezing cold sides (ordered chips and veggies). Some of the cutlery was dirty (which was replaced when asked), and all of them were encased in wet napkins, as if the utensils were still wet and simply placed on tables inside the napkins. Drink glasses also weren't particularly clean, with one being marked with coffee up the side and another simply appear to have dried free-standing and left marked by water.
Staff were friendly, however the food and drink experience was extremely lacklustre, especially considering the price paid. Wouldn't go again

Very poorly run/managed hotel. Once we finally got seated and ordered, we waited for 40 mins for our meals. When I finally asked where they were, 2 of the mains were bought out straight away. Plates were hot and the food was cold and soggy. They had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for ages waiting to get bought out to our table. Out of all the hotels in Horsham, I would recommend steering clear of this one

The only thing this place had going for it was it was open on a Monday night. Expensive food that was very VERY average. None of us enjoyed our meals. I had the $35 fisherman's basket, which was fresh out of the freezer and half of it appeared to be missing for that price. Not recommended unless your are desperate on Monday night.

Not a great experience the night we were there. Service was slow. Meals took an hour and ten minutes to arrive. Admittedly, they did say that they only had 1 chef on that night and meals would take up to an hour. A bit frustrating though that at least half a dozen customers that arrived and ordered after us received their meals well before us. The Green Chicken Curry was not very tasty. I regretted my choice after my first mouthful, but what should have been a safe choice (for my partner) of Squid with Chips turned out to be quite the stringy experience. In hindsight, we should have looked elsewhere once we saw they were busy, but we were tired after a long drive. Staff were friendly. Hopefully they just had a bad night.

We had a table of 11 and they couldn't handle the meals.first main meal came out 20 mins after we ordered then a few people got their entrees 20minutes later and the last meal came out 1 1/2hrs after ordering.
We had to write down the meals we were still waiting on.
Took over 10 mins for each couple to pay for their meals as they were so confused at the till.
After we all finally ate, about 10mins later a waitress walked over with 2 meals and asked who's were these meals for.was not even for our table.
I asked for a med/rare steak sandwich and got well done, they forgot my salad.
The roast of the day was 3 slices of 6cm slabs of pork.
The older couple working there were an absolute delight, very friendly, shame all the staff didn't take after them.

Really nice service, meals are perfect, make sure you go on a empty tummy because they Really fill the plate to the brim, I would rate the place 5 stars

Left due to meal taking so long after 1 person got theirs first and the learnt that they had not started the other 4 meals we ordered, absolutly pathetic

Was a pretty average experience. Having working in a restaurant myself. The service average. The owner who greeted us at the door, left us to get a pen to sign in. He didn’t come back. Due to Covid, There was no table service our booked table was not setup, we didn’t get cutlery. They even broke Covid rules by having to many in 1 area. The only good thing about the Royal was the food. Very disappointed to how it used to be.

Hopeless, accomodation stuffed up, tried to increase the price anyway, staff have no idea what's going on and manager isn't much better. Only plus was the food was ok. Wouldn't stay again.

I sleep at this hotel on 6 March 2020. The pub open very loudly sound until 3.00 a.m. So please select another hotel if you want to rest for a long journey.
Do not select this hotel! It's seem like you sleep in the concert! Can't sleep!
