Roti Road reviews
49 5 star all round. Authentic Malaysian food, fantastic flavours, very reasonably priced, great for larger groups. 100% recommend.
Must try the Roti canai and chicken curry!
Awesome food, good atmosphere, annoying though always had to hail down waiter to get any form of service
We had a large booking here, which was catered for perfectly, and we were able to sample a large variety from the menu. The food is delicious, highly recommend the pepper beef, and the staff were fantastic. Highly recommended. Also, BYO wine was perfect for our group.
I came here with a big group of people. We ordered the banquet. Everyone really enjoyed the food, staff were great and we felt satisfied.
Been here twice. Disappointed with their roti canai. Too dry, not fluffy and small. The highpoint branch roti much better. Service is great but Food slightly off
The best laksa I had in Melbourne so far, please keep it up! It was so filling and made of fresh ingredients.
Lemon chicken was a little bit of a let down in comparison, small portion for the price. Everything else we saw in the restaurant looked amazing and mouth watering. Roti was nice and fluffy and beef rendang was so flavoursome! I will most definitely come back, as long as the prices do not keep rising!
Service was prompt but sometimes a little forgetful. This was mostly due to the fact it was very busy. The place was clean and looked like it had just undertaken renovations. It was a very good experience.
Delicious Malaysian/ Indonesian cuisine with open kitchen and catering for vegans too. Fantastic to watch the roti being made
Slightly expensive but high quality and large dishes so can share
Definitely going back
Only negative is overly bright open plan but stylish nonetheless
A wonderful experience if Malayasian food in the heart of Footscray. Pleasant service and easier menu to order from with pictures of most dishes.
Not bad restaurant
The sambal is too salty and the beef is a bit too sweet for me but overall good; laksa is not bad; really noisy at dinner time
Delicious and worth the wait. Very quick service. The XO fried rice on pineapple and seafood curry laksa were top picks.
I ordered the salt and pepper chicken ribs, when I opened the inside of one of them I noticed the chicken was Pink! Pink! As in Undercooked! I showed the waitress and she called in her manager, I showed to him and in front of me and grabbing the chicken with his hands (wearing gloves) he checked the rest of the chicken to prove me wrong I guess, then he proceeded to explain me that he can’t cook it any more, trying to convince me it wasn’t pink! Anyway, he quickly grabs the plate and tells me he’s going to cancel the dish… disregarding me completely, not offering me another alternative, ignoring me completely after that! Enough said never coming back!
Wonderful menu with variety of food choices. Peking beef was amazing! The yum cha is delightful! The filling was so packed and it will leaves you wanting for more.
We are sold. Will come back and will spread the words. But please do clean your kitchen glass window if you made it to entertain your customers.:)
The best Malaysian restaurant I have ever been to! If you like Tofu, get the salt and pepper Tofu.you won't regret it!
Fried rice is the best here, but to dry need kinda soup or something. Good service especially by the young malaysia Chinese boy.
This used to be one of my favourite locals - what happened? The roti bread tasted like rubber. In fact, everything we ordered was sub par. As was the service. Won't be back. Such a shame.
It was good.
The taste is different to what I'm used too. It's probably the Malaysian touch, the curries had a sweet touch. I believe it's the peanut-ty paste that is used.
Overall, it was good
Amazing food. I loved the curry puffs, it's veg (but trust me that crispy outside and soft inside texture is so good). Try out some roti as well. The place is clean, staff is friendly, food is good.
Went on a friday, after lunch crowd.
Staff were attentive.
Piped in music was okay.
Fast service, dependent on dish and crowd.
Ambience was quaint and somewhat cozy to say the least.
Ordered chicken curry laksa:
-big bowl
-a bit more noodles would be nice.
-broth was slightly muted, but heading the right direction.
