Authentic Italian fare. Delicious and fresh. Service is excellent. Food is served in a timely, efficient manner. I look forward to a different and tasty meal each time. Wine list is quite extensive and well procured.

From the moment you climb the stairs in Melbourne’s Legal quarter off Little Bourke St & enter this cosy modern canteen, you sense something special is possible. The someone responsible, is the legendary Rosa Mitchell in the kitchen. But her influence doesn’t just radiate over the culinary delights prepared by her team it extends to the staff who provide the flawless service. All in all a delight!

Taken there by a friend. Very nice, prices reasonable, service excellent and pleasant. Environment pretty standard for this type of restaurant. Great pastas. Good wine list. All in all good value and very pleasant.

Exceptional service right from the start until the end. Our waiter had amazing knowledge of the menu and could easily recommend options without a second thought. The food was also amazing right from the starter we shared (Special of the day), to our main meals (Cavatelli with Pork and Fennel Ragu & Chestnut Trenette with Duck Ragu) and through to our dessert (Gelato & Tart of the day). I would easily go back for more of their delicious food and to experience their exceptional service!

I had the green spaghetti with prawns and chilli, and my partner had the chestnut trenette w duck ragu, perfect sizing and delicious.

Authentic and flavourful, with Pasta that was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be going back on my next trip to melb.
Only criticism was we felt from arrival that we just seemed to be an inconvenience for our waiter. But at the end of the day the food was great and the rest of the staff were lovely.

Authentic Italian food that never disappoints. I've been to Rosa's restaurant with my husband every time we visit Melbourne. The food from entree to dessert always has the most delicious balance of flavours. The service is second to none and the home made cellos/liquers were impressive. I highly recommend the four cheese ravioli with burnt butter and sage sauce (if its still on the winter menu) and the poached persimmon dessert.

Rosa's Cantern eschews cookie cutter Italian fair for a simple and paired-back menu that is simply exquisite. I've been coming close on 3 years and David has always been incredibly knowledgeable; but, it's his enthusiasm which remains unchanged. A wonderful restaurant.

Great customer service, delicious food, and a nice quiet atmosphere to enjoy southern Italian cuisine.

Excellent share meals and good value. Service was mixed, one guy quite indifferent (spent 30 min talking to another customer about his collection of Nike runners) and the other guy fantastic.

Such a wonderful atmosphere! The food is super authentic and delicious, I can taste the care that Roza instills into all the parts coming together. From starting with the antipasto platter featuring zucchini fritters and homemade olives, to finishing the meal with the most decadent whipped ricotta and pistachio cannoli, Leah, Dave and the team are smooth and attentive to all the details. Everyone around seemed to be having a great time too. What a joy to share in the ambience and nourishment. Thank you!

I have eaten here numerous times and every time the food is excellent. It is unpretentious and reasonably priced but the pasta is outstanding. The servers are really helpful, know their menus and are happy to help with anything you need. I love this place! I highly recommended this place.
