Rosa Mexicano

The service was so slow here. Not only did we wait well over an hour for food, we waited over half an hour to get our order taken, and we only eventually got the order taken because we waved a server over. At least the servers were polite when they did actually interact with us. The food was quite nice, but not worth the wait. I had an amazing mango margarita made with real mangos, however, the straw was too small to suck up the drink and the glass was difficult to drink out of without a straw, so that was frustrating (although, also kind of funny). In the end, we were pretty unimpressed with this place.

This restaurant must have changed hands. The food may LOOK Mexicana, but the taste is definitely another story. It's NOT spicy (hot) nor does it have the traditional Mexican spices tastes. We ordered the Fajitas and it just didn't taste right. Fortunately we got discounts from an APP so we didn't pay the full price, which it does NOT deserve.

I throughly enjoyed breakfast at Rosa Mexicano Burwood. The variety included in my dish provided a delightful start to my day. The cozy ambiance and attentive staff added to overall positive experience. It’s a great value for the quality and selection offered. Highly recommended!

Food was great n so was service. They really need more comfortable chairs. The current nlue chair had sharp edges which tore my outfit. It was embarrassing getting home.

If you're after a nice, calm atmosphere with nice Mexican cuisine, you can certainly give this place a go. Ample under ground or above ground car parking at Burwood Brickworks Shopping Centre to get there. The food is good, service isn't the fastest but it's acceptable, at a typical price. Family friendly as kids can run around in the open area in front of the restaurant.

We came here last night and ordered a few shaken margaritas which were nice but very pricey! I couldn’t believe the price of the jugs. $71.00 was a bit extreme! Nachos were really good, street corn was ok, fish taco was average. The paella was really good however it’s not considered a Mexican dish. Atmosphere was non existent and couldn’t hear any music at all. Kind of felt like you were sitting in a fast food restaurant. The worst thing was the front door being left open again and again which left the customer constantly having to get up and close the door so the cold draft didn’t kill us all. If you’re looking for something more authentic and cosy then this is not the place for you!

Chicken wings were spicy and well cooked however was dissapointed that the chips were frozen supermarket variety. It's not hard to make fresh fries or wedges. Sangria was ordinary and we had to wait for the barman to return from wherever.

Wasn't the best burrito I ve tried. But the French fries were amazing. Especially w that garlic sauce. So if I will ever come here again, that would definitely be French fries. You really need to try it

Went for a family dinner on a Sunday night, disappointing experience.

The corn was cooked well and nicely charred however there was uncooked mozzarella tasting cheese just thrown on the plate? Confusing.

The nachos with chicken were not bad however for the price (over $20) I would have expected a bigger serving size.

The steak fajitas were a disaster, the limp and soggy tortillas with some bland tomatoes and beans, very uninspiring. The steak itself was very tough and chewy. To their credit they did not charge us for the fajitas. The concern I have is that the waitress told us this was not the first time they’ve had the same feedback this weekend. If you know it’s not great why serve it?

The pulled beef enchiladas were very very dry but with some sauce were edible.

Seafood paella was okay, not a fan of the curry powder flavour however this is personal preference. It was cooked properly and the ingredients were okay.

The fish tacos were forgetful. Fried fish in a half warm tortilla with some sauce and the same cheese that came with the corn.

I couldn’t understand that they have a seafood burrito on the menu however when I asked for that’s a burrito bowl that was not possible?

The staff were nice enough however our waiter did not write down any of our order, of which they forgot one of our mains which we had to wait for an extend amount of time.

Overall considering the price and quality of the food I would suggest to anyone living in the Burwood area. Drive a little further down Middlesborough road for a cheaper and better tasting alternative.

I went in with medium expectations and was neither impressed or put off. If you are in the mood for some decent Mexican, that is still better than G&G, go for it.

Been here a few times over the year and the food is always good. This time we had the curry seafood paella, nachos, beef burrito and the pulled pork enchiladas. All the dishes were delicious especially the paella. Would definitely be back

Had a false start when I went here and they were closed an hour before advertised time. Tried again and was pleasantly surprised to find excellent service and great food. Server gave me great advice on my choice (how spicy) and he was right. Glad I went back.

Please avoid this restuarant and save your money. Food was below average and lacked taste. Tasted like a frozen meal from Woolworths.

A bit average and lacking flavour. Not very fresh either. The chicken wings were below average, just tasted like boiled chicken with sauce put on top

Great food. Had Enchillada chicken, Calamari, Nuttela tacos for food which was very tasty.
Banana mango Empanada and Cinnamon nachos for dessert. Dessert was yummy.
Quick service and overall a great service.

Out of the offerings available we chose Mexican on a whim and was not disappointed at all.

The food was excellent, Portions are a good size and the quality was better than I was expecting. I highly recommend the seafood burrito as a share with another plate.

Staff were very accommodating, knew the menue and offered share plates without prompting.
