Rosa Mexicano reviews
60Overall, food was very bland. It took a while to find anything to order since almost every dish on the menu has chipotle aoili, which I hate (and doesn't belong on most of those dishes anyway). Way too many beans in the burrito and hardly any meat. None of the food had the authentic Mexican flavours you would expect and was just disappointing. Salsa tasted like it came from a Woolie's jar. On a positive note, the guac was great.
They accept Uber eats orders and then cancel 30 mins later. I understand restaurants are busy but either turn off Uber eats or do not accept the order in the first place. As consumers we are charged and need to wait seven to ten days for a refund to be processed per Uber eats policy.
Stopped in for dinner here at South Melbourne and was so pleasantly surprised. The food was so tasty and filling. We had margaritas and they were sensational. The manager he was very accomodating and the waitress was so polite and friendly. Can’t wait to go back. Keep up the great work
Great authentic food, quality and quantity. Drinks are nice too. I had the Mexican hot chocolate which was fantastic.
Overpriced not so extraordinary food with below average customer service. Also, check their menu many times before ordering because apparently they almost double their prices every year.
While the service was good, the food and drinks were far from the standard it used to be. We were served tacos that the lacked the usual depth of flavour and warmth. Our shaken margaritas were not well balanced, one of them tasting like water and the other leaving a very unpleasant burn.
Amazing menu and the food we ordered was well priced and tasty, we will definitely be coming back here again. The margaritas were also amazing
Excellent service, tasty food and amazing cockails. We went to the South Melbourne RM and the manager was so lovely and accomodating. Made us feel so welcome and attended to. I will definitely be going back.
Authentic Mexican restaurant with a variety options for everyone. I visited the Burwood Brickworks location for a client meeting and really enjoyed the whole experience. The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing! Highly recommended if you're looking for a beautiful restaurant with tasty Mexican and incredible drinks, as well as an awesome atmosphere!
Great place with amazing food! Especially the Margarita, the best one in Melbourne. Luckily got the promotion with $12.
Amazing food and such great service!
Their burritos have gotten us through lockdown:) highly recommend!
We were just blown away! The sangria minta and the aztecsea drinks were so refreshing! The quesadillas were an excellent appetiser; but the paella was the best one we've had this side of the hemisphere! Served sizzling on a hot plate, it was a generous serve of chorizo, shrimp, chicken and mussels enough to last us for days!
The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The colours of the restaurant are very nice
Food tasted more than our expectation. California burrito was too yummy and quantity was more. Supreme nachos was also delicious. Finally we ordered churros which came with chocolate dip hmmmmm that made a perfect end to our lunch
This place has delicious food with amazing staff as well as an amazing atmosphere within its beautifully decorated walls would recommend
Food: Tasty and generous portion.
Drink: Jugs of Magarita and Sangria are quite good value.
Service: Staffs are very friendly.
Paella was really good and we tried home made churros and mousses and just loved them. Def will come back and try the other menus.
Absolutely loved it. I've been to a few Mexican restaurants and eateries, but never had flavours like this before, so vibrant and filling, with a solid reasonable price and incredible service
The food was really yummy but the service was very disappointing. Not very busy busy at all but had to wait for over 45mins for our food. It appears that takeaway gets precidence. I won’t be back.
I had posted a 5 star review a month ago for this place but after I received my incomplete takeaway order, I am going to edit it to 2 stars. Even the sour cream was missing from the order, the quantity of mexican rice, beans and pico was not even half of what we received the last time with the enchiladas. The quality of the food was pretty low too. Disappointed.
Mexican cola is nice.
Jug of shaken Margarita is great value and a good pour.
Mexican Street corn was good.
Salsa was acidic, 90% tomato and red onion.
Mexican rice was overcooked and tasteless.
Chimichanga was ordered medium heat, arrived very meh.
In an unrelated note, there's umlauts on the menu and branding where there should be diacritics and such. Weird, and unrelated to the food, but just kinda stuck out.
