Roof Wall Insulation Earthwool Foilboard Batt Insulation NoGap Insulation reviews
60 Ok quality install. Job did take longer than quoted. And roof tiles were not reinstalled correctly afterwards. Luckily spotted before the rain.
Due to job going longer I was unable to be onsite to inspect afterwards. If I did it again wouldnt be paying full price upfront.
Thank you for great quality R6 insulation in our home within a time manner. Zak and Sam were very good in getting the job organised and done.
Sam was contactable at all times which was very helpful!
Been working with No Gap ever since I can remember, never had an issue or problem that wasn't resolved in the same day. Fast, efficient and experienced. Can't recommend the guys at the No Gap enough.
No gap managed to complete the Job as promised, and did a killer job in removing all the old blow in insulation and putting in the new batts. Thanks guys for your hard work.
My partner and I were concerned with the recent extremely cold nights so we called No Gap to see what we could do about it. They helped us out so much, their expertise is next level. Cannot recommend enough!
The team at No Gap Installation were very easy to deal with. I was give a very reasonable quote. The staff who carried out the installation arrived on site on time, carr6 out the work to a professional standard and clean up after themselves. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.
Called No Gap with lots of questions about my insulation and they answered each and every question with expertise and kindness. Booked in the job and had it done within the week! Highly recommend to everyone.
I needed insulation batts urgently and luckily they were able to get them to me the day after I called up. Great service and fair pricing!
Having very little knowledge on the different options available to insulate my house, I found No Gap Insulation extremely helpful. Everyone was really understanding and patient, and along with their comprehensive website, i was better able to inform my decisions that best suited my own home.
Very happy with the customer service from Zac and the team. They explained how the process would work and answered all my questions. I would recommend them.
I am super happy with No Gap Insulation! They have great low prices and amazing service. Would highly recommend.
Professional and helpful team for removal of old insulation and install of batts. Install was done over two days due to weather.
Ayman came early the second day and did a great job throughout for the install of the insulation.
Thank you so much Eda from No gap Insulation for excellent service. Service were extremely fast and efficient with their quoting and installation. Lovely team. Can't go wrong with their service. Highly recommended
There are very few service companies I’ve dealt with in Melbourne that are as efficient and friendly as the team at No Gap Insulation. From beginning to end they were flawless with their timing, communication and the ultimate quality and professionalism of the job. I am very happy with the insulation they provided and my house now feels significantly better insulated than it did before (original 1960’s insulation). Zak was particularly helpful and had plenty of good banter to go with it.
Very happy with the service from No Gap. They were extremely fast and efficient with their quoting and installation. Lovely team, I highly recommend!
Really informative and helpful on the phone! No pushy sales tactics and a genuine interest in my questions. 10/10 for service!
When I submitted my online quote, it was specifically for the Eathwool R6 product (I even copied a picture of what I wanted in the email I sent to them for the quote request). However, after a lengthy discussion with their sales manager, I was convinced to opt for R4 instead which is all well and fine as the comparison I was given was akin to installing a supercar body on a family wagon engine in an attempt to make it go faster, Ie the R6 installation being top of the line was not going to make my old house any warmer, and the R4 insulation would be more than sufficient. In retrospect, although I completely understand the argument, I still wish I compromised with R5 instead.
The R-value, however, was least of my issues as when the batts arrived, to my surprise, I had received Pink batts over Earthwool. Now the written quote confirmation I received did not specifically say Earthwool, it said R4 Glasswool with a 50-year guarantee, and I understood that to be Earthwool as discussed during the quotation call. The quote definitely did not state R4.1 Pink Batts, which I know is made from the same glasswool material but comes with a consumer lifetime warranty. Some may argue that Pink batts are better but it comes down preference and mine is definitely Earthwool. When I called the company to clear up the matter I was taken aback when the same sales manager said he could not recall discussing Earthwool, and to my shock was also advised that the installers were now suddenly ready to walk offsite and away from the job as we are in lockdown and I had previously stated that the house would be vacant! Of course, the house would not be vacant and we both clearly knew that off the record, as it is was lockdown after all, so where else was my family meant to go for the entire day? It was also my understanding that the tradies would be wearing masks and entering through the roof, not the house, keeping well further apart than 1.5m away from any occupants. I've also had numerous other tradesmen onsite both before and after the insulation doing other jobs around the house renovation, keeping well within all lockdown regulations without any issue, as the regulation for residential sites is five tradespeople plus a supervisor allowed at any one time in any case. However, the call really put me on the spot and already shaken up, I reluctantly proceeded with the Pink batts, as was told they would not put themselves in a position to attract any police attention and a possible fine to make a return journey to swap the batts, as I was also their final job during the lockdown too.
I still think I could have overlooked the above issues, but the install work itself was just average at best. It included the lifting of a flat tin section of the roof, which wasn't fully lifted so there are still small sections without the new insulation and was also supposed to include a new foil membrane too (I was told during the quotation call) but the existing old deteriorating membrane was just left to be reused again. The area below flat roof is also a living room which has downlights and I'm pretty sure was covered with the new insulation too, not allowing for gaps around the downlights as per fire regulation (which I avoid using now until I can get someone else to come and take a look). The other service was for a clean vacuum of the roof cavity which was extremely dusty & dirty, and whilst quite a lot was successfully vacuumed up, upon closer inspection after, it revealed still quite a fair bit of dirt & dust (& rat faeces) that was still there from before! Fortunately, care was taken to allow for the required gap between the insulation and downlights in the main roof cavity and the new installation appears to have covered most areas quite neatly, although I would have liked the insulation to cover more of the corner grooves too, where the gradient of the roof meets the ceiling.
At the end of the day, I felt pressured into signing off their paperwork that I was 'happy' with the work the completed. Perhaps it was just my bad luck or too high expectations.
The whole process from query and quote, to insulation work was seamless! No Gap Insulation was selected based on their most competitive quote. The team completed the whole insulation of a 325 sqm ceiling in less than an afternoon.
My trusted electrician inspected the insulation work to mitigate any electricial incident in the ceiling and he commented NoGap Insulation team did an excellent job all around. Thank you for the great work!
Spoke to Michael K.he gave good advice and was very honest and genuine fella. Couldn't expect more.
I highly recommend "No Gap insulation"! So far they are the top ones I have come across. They were not only very COMPETITIVE in price but they delivered what they promised, EXCELLENT service! I couldn't find a single gap on the walls or the ceiling. They are very friendly and they helped me pick the right acoustic insulation for my walls to suit and answered all my technical questions along the way. I would definitely refer them to my friends or anyone out there looking to have their insulation done. Well done guys!
