Rod’s Fruit & Vegetables reviews
45Great people, range and experience. The staff are lovely and have no qualms recommending. Love Rod’s.
Owner was talking on the phone while driving, nearly hit a friend of mine who was crossing the street.
Before lockdown I used to love to the South Melbourne market and always stopped at Robs Fruit and Veg. There variety is seasonal, prices reasonable and staff friendly. When lockdown came in end of March I placed my first online order with them on 23 March; everything was delivered timely with a small delivery fee and nicely wrapped. My partner and I don’t have car and we have now ordered from them six times. I am in healthcare so I go into office but partner is at home so it is a time saver! They have often wrote us little handwritten notes which is a lovely touch and today included a gift of a gorgeous loaf of sourdough. I can not recommend them enough and hope the delivery continues as they have expanded to dry goods and other vendors in the market. 10/10 recommend
Love Rods for my veggies, also am completely obsessed with their frozen blueberries, raspberries, strawberries & blackberries which are only $7 to 8 for half a kilo and all grown in Victoria. Infinitely better and tastier than the imported supermarket stuff! Just go early in the day if you're going on the weekend as it gets ridiculously busy and frustrating to get in and out later in the day.
Bought prepackaged gold kiwi here on saturday and they were all inedible. Seems I fell for the old market traders trick of bundling up the oldest produce in way that prevents the customer from checking the freshness. Wont get sucked in again. $4 wasted
