Rod’s Fruit & Vegetables

Whilst everyone is out braving the supermarkets and fighting over limited and not so fresh produce, I am resting at home with my Rod’s delivery packed away in the kitchen. Fabulous variety and quality, all delivered to Geelong, with great delivery updates. I don’t even have to cut the pumpkin- I could buy it freshly cut in roasting size portions! Highly recommended!

Quality of produce has been consistently lacking in the last few weeks which is quite disappointing as shop here most weeks.

I am a first time customer who bought ten dozen Gippsland pastured eggs. I must say I am very impressed by their customer service and delivery service. My eggs arrived today on time as stated by them. They keep you informed every step of the delivery progress to the very last step which is outstanding, impressive and accurate. Even a little smily face drawn on the receipt saying enjoy your eggs which is nice to see the human interaction. They are very professional and the driver who deliverd my eggs was very courteous and friendly. Their delivery vans are clean and looks very professional too. The driver was looking very professional in the company uniform which is really impressive to see. I am very happy with my purchase from Rod's. Their products are excellent. I will continue to buy from them. Really awesome shopping experience. All the best to all at Rod's.

Wanted the perfect thank you gift for our neighbor and these guys certainly did that. A beautiful box of fresh fruit and a bottle of wine. She was really surprised and excited. A big thanks to the team who were super responsive and helpful over email to help organize this. You will be the first place we think of when we want to send a gift basket in the future!

Wonderful delivery service of quality fruit and vegetables; time of delivery is always announced and strictly adheres to. If you cannot get to the South Melbourne market to choose for yourself you should use this service.

Very very disappointed with their produce lately. Bought a container of “freshly chopped”vegetable on Saturday to cook for Monday and most of it is grey and dead by Monday morning.

Always fresh, easy to use website, amazing variety and I love that I can shop from South Melbourne Markets while paying a very small delivery fee. Amazing

We have been shopping for our fruits and vegetables at Rod’s for nearly 10 years and we found the services at the cashier were great, the fruits and vegetables were fresh and the prices was reasonable but recently we found the prices were jacked up to unreasonable comparing to other stores. We saved about nearly 50% of the price we paid from other stores for the same quality of fruits and vegetables. We are let down by the high increased of price at Rod’s.

Wow our daughter surprised us with a mystery box from Rods as a welcome home from Sydney present, the array of fruit and veggies was amazing, so very fresh and delicious and flavoursome

2023 Update - been back several times and enjoyed fresh produce. I'll put the below experience down to an oversight. Changed review to 4 stars!
Bought prepackaged gold kiwi here on saturday and they were all inedible. Seems I fell for the old market traders trick of bundling up the oldest produce in way that prevents the customer from checking the freshness. Wont get sucked in again. $4 wasted

One of the best fruits n vegs shop in South Melbourne. The products quality far more superior than convenience stores like woolies. The staffs are lovely and helpful, but one particular cashier girl on table 1 that I met on last Sunday had terrible body odor, please tell her to take a bath and put on some deodorant before work. She's also like to chat loudly in Indian on her airpods and with other indians staff while working.

The team at Rod’s are amazing, and the produce is outstanding. They are my go to when sending gifts. Friends and family love getting their gift boxes, flowers and cheese. It’s always of the highest quality. The team are super friendly and their customer service is unbelievably good (kind of catches you off guard!) Their delivery is so incredibly reasonable, and they deliver to areas most companies don’t. Thanks to the team for keeping me connected with my family during various lockdowns and isolation- my parents loved the ready meals (especially sticky date pudding) Oh and the seafood is amazing too! Can’t say enough good things, Rod’s please don’t ever stop doing what you do!

Love using the excellent and convenient service of Rods Fruit and Veg. They make it so easy for me to order treats and gifts for family in Melbourne and surrounds while I live far away in another country. Fantastic variety of fresh and delicious products that always makes any family member who receives anything very happy! Always make timely and reliable delivery and on hand to help with questions or my orders, even on weekends (thanks very much Roxanne for recent help to deliver a Father’s Day box of ready-made meals and goodies). My go to fruit and veg shop at the market. Twice in recent months the lovely owner (Rod?) has actually gone in the back and made the delicious peeled ready to eat pineapples for me when there have been none to buy (they sell out quickly as they are so delicious). Yesterday he did this again. I didn’t know he was the owner until a staff member told me. Always with a smile and kindness. Ditto the team members. Thank you Rod and all. So grateful for the best fruit and veg and the fact you go over and above with me always! Thank you!

I ordered the mystery fruit & veggie box and received it over a week ago. Such a great variety of produce, and so fresh! Some of the produce is still fresh even now! Such good value, and so delicious. I will no longer waste my time and money at the supermarket. Thanks Rod’s!

Honestly will not get better fresh produce than at Rods! Their fruit and veg is next to none and service is exceptional. I especially love the personalised note on our receipt every time. I recommend Rods to everyone looking for the best fresh produce delivered straight to your door.

I have been ordering from Rods for a few years now, I can honestly say I have never had a bad piece of fruit and veg, always VERY fresh.
Delivered with a SMILE and if I'm not home to open the door the driver always calls me to let me know he/she has been, if that's not good service then I don't know what is?
Roxy is also super helpful answering all queries and getting in my FAV mandarins.

I love getting my Rod’s delivery every week! The produce is wonderfully fresh and puts supermarkets to shame. This is how I remember fruit and veg tasting as a child, 30-40 odd years ago! And their Andrew’s ham - oh my goodness it is amazing! Even my teenage daughter, who does not like ham generally, absolutely loves this!
On the very rare occasion that we receive an item that’s past its prime, we just shoot an email to the good people at Rod’s and they either refund or replace the item in our next order. They are delightful to deal with.
I love that we live in Geelong but can still access the goodies of the South Melbourne Market.
