Rocco's Burger Cafe

Waited 25 minutes for coffee. Was being understanding as they said they had staffing issues. When I realised all the people after me had been given their coffees it upset me.
Is there a preference system here for locals and family or is it just Incompetence?

We've been there fair few times and used to love their burgers but this time all the burger patties were extremely salty that we couldn't finish it. Don't think we will go back there again.

Have some appealing meals on the menu. I liked my meal but not the purple cabbage because it seemed to be mixed with maybe cinnamon. I didn't like the smoothie because it was ice blended with berries and I thought there would be a lot of coconut milk but I couldn't taste any coconut. I didn't realise that the smoothie would be full of ice.
The other meal on our table came with eggs but this was not mentioned on the menu. The menu mentioned there was pork belly in this dish and at the register they wanted $4 extra for the pork belly that was actually part of the dish which confuses me.

Used to really like this place, waitresses aren’t great and the hollandaise isn’t great. Must be new ownership: (

Vey nice staffs, my favorite is Carser salad, also you can DIY order your own favorites. Very beautiful pond beside outside tables, good to relax there.

Waitress completely stuffed up our order, ordering 3 lots of chips for 2 people when we only wanted one, kitchen delivered cold chips, and a beef burger rather than fried chicken, and another burger was also cold.

Even after removing all the extra chips, the final.bill was still overcharged by $2. Possibly the most independent mistakes that I have ever had linked to a single meal.

So, three separate and major mistakes by two separate people. Don't waste your time unless you are fond of surprises and disappointment.

Took half an hour to get two takeaway coffees. People who ordered well after us received theirs first all bc we asked for a milk other than cows. Way slow and distracted.

A little disappointing. My 12 year old daughter wanted to go, on ordering, she chose the chicken but was informed that was unavailable. She then opted for pancakes, only to later be told they were also unavailable. My burger was good.

The cheeseburgers here are good, though prices can be on the expensive side. Would recommend going for the cheeseburger. They also used to have another amazing burger that we've been hoping they'd bring back. It was full of mushrooms, Japanese mayo and sesame. It was something you couldn't find just anywhere, and we've been craving it since they changed their menu.

The burgers we got were decent sized and not bad. The fries however, for me, were a miss. I'm not a fan of the seasoning and much prefer plain salt.

I would eat there again, but I'm not in a hurry to do so

Highly recommend. The dirty burger is genuinely one of the burgers I've ever tasted and they have a great variety of sides and sauces

Really well made food and a large diverse menu so there is something for everyone. Also the holendaise sauce was awesome!

Great coffee and friendly staff.disappointed when I visited and realized all the texted orders were taking preference over my in-house order.

So disappointed with the horrible service. First time there, was told good things. Checked in and stood for nearly 10 mins with nobody saying word to us. Girl on the coffee machine looked over a few times said nothing. Waiter actually Walked between me and my gf to get something behind us said nothing. Eventually we walked out

This restaurant has amazing burgers, highly recommend their food and for your own sake, order the garlic aioli! You won't regret it!

Best coffee on the Maroondah hwy, worth the the trip from South Yarra (3141). Hugely long wait with high reward.

Tried a fried chicken burger (the hotel California) and some gems, with an iced coffee. Girlfriend had avo toast with eggs and a cappuccino.
Everything was fresh and tasty, coffee tasted pretty good too, large servings all round.
Place has indoor and outdoor dining, nice and shady under the umbrellas.
Had seen others complain about this place being slow service and overpriced.
Doesn't match our experience at all, service was quick enough and the prices are about what you'd expect from a burger joint of this quality.

This restaurant is very very very disrespectful and unprofessional. Today is the day of Sir Bert Newtons funeral. And they have it on the TV MUTED! AND INSTEAD WANT TO BLAST DOOF DOOF MUSIC. It is not very nice considering the man is an Australian legend. And very long wait times to pick up such a simple order. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Captain America burger here is incredible! Everytime I get it, it tastes the same and always made fresh. Service is always good, great coffee, Sometimes abit of a wait to get food as they're usually really busy.
