Rising Sun Hotel

Went to go outside to eat (only outside area) with my child to be told it was a smoking area and you can’t eat here Signs on window to the outside say no smoking implying outside is a non smoking area. Either remove the no smoking signs or remove the ashtrays

Great friendly service, good variety of food. Brother had pork belly and sticky date pudding, I had red curry soup and himilayan beef, very tasty not hot or overly spicy. Enjoyed food here.

Ordered a mexican parmigiana
Arrived and started eating it before realising it was only half cooked and rubbery ruined my dining experience there partners schnitzel looked like it had been cooked over a cigarette lighter both of us will not return to this hotel have they changed chefs? This experience has ruined dining at one of my favorite hotels

Saw someone with a man bun absolutely glass another guy, he got ruined!
Apart from that the pork was lovely! Will be back again!

We were there for a wake so a little difficult to rate correctly. The Nibbles were excellent and plenty of them, drinks were cold and staff very friendly and attentive.

Very late but chef still cooked an amazing burger and waitressing staff amazing as well. Will be back. H

What can I say absolutely fantastic night out the food was amazing price and servings size and cooked perfectly the service was fantastic the staff extremely friendly and diligent never not a smile great to see staff enjoying their work

Nice meals whilst staying at Mercure Hotel. Staff very friendly. Ambiance excellent. Recently updated, according to staff.

Our group of 4 arrived at 6.00pm for Sunday dinner. We ordered our 4 meals at approx 6.10pm. Two meals arrived at 6.15pm. The other 2 meals arrived at 6.45pm. Half an hour later after asking staff several times when we would expect our 2 remaining meals to arrive. The counter staff or the chef obviously either misplaced or forgot the 2 meals. So dissatisfied with the service and lack of care by the staff.

Extremely busy. Obviously people know they serve a really nice meal. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Staff very friendly and very busy.

The patrons were really nice had a good evening except for males taken over the toilets that's why I went down once they like why males need to be two in one toilet and one in another girls can't go that soundly downfall but all over it's a top joint

I was very disappointed in my meal chips over done and tasted oily. Chicken snitz was chard on the bottom. They don't know how to make a decent lemon lime and bitter. But the staff were very friendly and the service was good. It the scond time my meal wasn't up to standard.

The food was amazing. We're from Adelaide and always eat at The Rising Sun when in Bendigo. The Salisbury Chicken and the Chicken and Cashew Crepe are just the best!

Food is ok but personally i don't think some of the dishes are worth the price that's charged.
Looking through the menu to order and alot of dishes look over priced for what they are. The larger, loud, group drinking next to us was uncomfortable and a bit of an atmosphere killer with a young family, so to future customers maybe just keep in mind that Fri/Sat nights might not be as "family friendly" as it could be.
Sorry but my family and I wont be returning.

The food is amazing. The atmosphere is unbelievable and the beer is out of this world. The staff look after your every need.

Customers Service was nice. Food was not nice. The salad was definitely a few days old - mushy tomatoes and dry carrot. We felt a little off after dinner. Chips were fresh though.

Best place to hold a function - great service from staff, excellent food, and perfect venue. Couldn't fault our experience, highly recommended!

We recently had our baby at Bendigo Hospital and wanted something other than hospital food, so ordered takeaway from the Rising Sun. We ended up having it every night we were there because it was so delicious. Highly recommend both for taste and convenience due to proximity to hospital.

Wonderful food, excellent friendly staff and spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for making our wedding anniversary most pleasurable.
