Amazing place! Amazing knowledge of gluten free food and catering for coeliacs! Southern fried Parma was elite! Will be back

Finally went to rick’s place. They are extremely gluten free and coeliac friendly and have gone above and beyond. Had a GF parma which is rare and it was amazing. The burger and pasta was not gluten free but can be done gluten free. They also have an amazing rooftop and view.
Can’t wait to try the rest of the GF menu! Thanks Rick!

Went to Ricks place for a meal tonight. Food was delicious and great variety to choose from. Rick comes and speaks to you, very nice atmosphere and drinks were yummy. So many options including coeliac and vegan. Highly recommend!

Very friendly staff, I felt very welcoming, service is excellent and food was delicious. Had the parmigiana and the chicken was very juicy and tender. Loved it.

Our party of 4 visited today for my sons 17th birthday. I have to say everything was exceptional! Rick the owner was so welcoming and friendly. His cocktails were superb and we all loved the dishes we ordered. The atmosphere is lovely and inviting. I’m from the other side of town so it’s very unfortunate I can’t make Ricks a regular but I highly recommend this fine establishment to anyone far or close.

Found about this place whilst browsing through halal establishments to have a night out. Rick was a wonderful host, friendly and engaging. Cannot fault the service. Menu is extensive, good range of vegetarian/vegan dishes as someone from our party is a vegetarian. The food we ordered were all yummy. Completely cleared our plates out! We had the arancini and garlic bread for entrees. The lamb shanks, grilled barramundi, lasagne and eggplant parma for mains. Highly recommended!

Excellent friendly service and food, will definitely be going back! Steak was cooked perfectly, and my companion said his chicken Parma was amazing.

Just be aware that prices vary between takeaway and dine in, also their website prices are out of date.

We booked a table here for a family dinner, with a guest list inclusive of indecisive children, critical foodies, special dietary requirements and each of us with a modest budget for dining out.

I have to say, there was not a single disappointed diner at that table. Rick and the wait staff ensured that each of us had a personalised experience. The attention to detail in the use of flavours in each dish was a pleasant experience and the mood of the dining room truly suited a family affair.

It was a pleasure to take my family here and I would recommend this 100% to anyone who asks, because I know I'll be back again without question!

My friend and I enjoyed a delicious meal here over the Easter weekend. Rick himself took the time to sit down and chat and it’s clear (as if these reviews didn’t make it obvious) that he strives to provide an amazing customer experience.

We just had a wonderful lunch at Rick's. The food was brilliant; the burgers were enormous and delicious, and Rick's team cooked up a perfect off-menu mushroom risotto. There were also plenty of great vegan & vegetarian options to cater for our whole party.
Rick made us feel so welcome, like we were having lunch at an old friend's house.

Rick’s place is amazing. Very friendly and hardworking owner, amazing team. Food didn’t disappoint either! We have sizzling lamb, surf & turf and calamari salad, it’s delicious! Big portion at a very reasonable price. Cleanliness on point.
Rick even offer us to go to the rooftop for the beautiful city view! This place is a gem in the neighbourhood. It gives u a cosy good vibes, will definitely visit again!

Fantastic food and even better service. Rick went out of his way to make out meal enjoyable and even let us head up to the rooftop afterwards for some amazing views of the city. Food was exceptional (especially the sizzling lamb) and there were lots of vegetarian options available. Will definitely come here again.

Let's go Rick's place boys and girls

Well you know these places are always hidden which don't get much exposure why cause nobody bothers looking in local areas I'm not a local but I'm not far either.
What do I normally do is go far I mean far, or just hang around fancy places in the city or some high rise.
So I found ricks, perfect didnt want to travel far.
Menu looked OK of course not fine dining simple humble filling food ok let's try it
Walked in seen a guy not knowing it's owner until he said I'm rick! Cool.
Was i sceptical sure, I'm not an easy diner I know what I like and want Rick made it easy. I can harp on abt the story of my food to long what I think about it, but they DELIVERED compliments to the CHEF he actually cares and takes pride dosnt shy from answering what u need to know that speaks 100 hundreds right there.
Then to my surprise he says I have rooftop go up who has that in suburbs NOBODY good on them
Why I say that is my experiences with city roof tops is they charge some bs amount for booking fee its a joke and on a timer and nibbles are extra charge can't speak for all only the ones I Been to.
So places like this should be enjoyed and supported why not. Thanks Rick I'm not the easiest of customers.

As we walked through the door, we were welcomed by Rick and what followed was a fantastic evening with great food, drinks, cocktails and an amazing view of Melbourne city by night from the rooftop.

The sizzling lamb was superb and the beef burger was one of the best we have eaten. Nonna’s slow cooked meatballs and assorted seafood platter were also delicious.

Unfortunately, we discovered this restaurant on our last day in Melbourne. We do plan to visit Rick’s Place on our next visit to Melbourne.

Great Food and great service, ideal place to go for a relaxed dinner and some yummy Italian food. Would definitely recommend. I will visit again for sure!

Sorry about the late review. We've been busy but we haven't forgotten about you Rick! We went to Rick's Place on Valentine's day and we were very lucky to be served by Rick and his family. We felt welcome and special the moment we entered the front door. Rick suggested my partner to take me upstairs to see the rooftop. The view from rooftop is magnificent. We ordered 2 mains and 2 side dishes. All food was delicious and my favourite was lamb shank. After the meal, Rick had some time to chat with us about his family and restaurant, which made us feel very warm and special. We only met Rick for the first time, but it felt like he treated us like old friends already:) We were served complimentary drinks afterwards and enjoyed the night view at the rooftop bar. Thank you Rick and your family for making our Valentine's day such a special and memorable one! We felt like we were taken care of during our stay with Rick and we didn't feel this way with many other restaurants. This is definitely one of the most special dining experiences we had. Thank you again Rick for being so hospitable. We admire the high standards you uphold for the restaurant and we wish you all the good luck with business:) Looking forward to coming back again! Great atmosphere and reasonable prices. The food is really good but the beef burger is out of this world. Seriously its probably the tastiest burger I've ever eaten in my life. "Compliments to the chef" just doesn't say enough.

So I’ll be honest. I don’t usually leave great reviews for places I really like because I don’t want them to become overcrowded. With that said, you need to go there! Rick’s place is an amazing venue and Rick is an amazing man and host! We stumbled upon the place accidentally with no previous knowledge. We left (reluctantly because we had other plans) knowing this will be one of our favorite haunts from now on. I can’t wait to bring the rest of our friends here. Admittedly we didn’t eat a meal here. But we did have dessert, and it didn’t stand a chance. Looking forward to our next visit. My only dilemma is going to be trying to narrow down to one main menu item to try (at a time).
Pro tip, take your drinks up to the roof for a fantastic view of the city skyline.
