Renzo's Bar & Restaurant in Docklands reviews
73Food was great. Let down by surly service. This could be a great place althought it is in a tourist trap. Gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce was rich and yummy. The margharita pizza was very nicelt done. Individual experience proably depends on your waiter. Ours was not awesome.
Couldn't fault the meal for the price. My wife and I shared our meals so I got a good sampling, and it was all very good. Loved the Veal Scallopini especially. The Negronis at happy hour were an unexpected bonus.
Don't often venture into Docklands but was keen on some Italian pasta goodness while out with mates. Glad I wondered in and took a squiz at the menu which lured me in. The service was warm and knowledgeable and the Calabrese pizza was amazing.and.the Filatelli alla puttanesca was devine. Bravo!
Food was amazing! The staff were rather rude unfortunately which ruined the ambiance and made me and friend feel a little uncomfortable but the meal was delicious.
One of the best pizzeria in Docklands and near CBD. Staff is polite and service is lightening fast. What I liked the most is that they customize the cuisine as per dietary requirements and taste (Big + for vegetarians).
The best italian restaurant in Docklands and CBD.
I've been there many times with friends and my family and it's always a pleasure to enjoy a big pizza after a game at the stadium.
Staff is really friendly and the owner shares his passion for italian food with sucess: pizzas and pastas are amazing and the beef is wonderful!
They have a huge wine list with good italian wines which are not so expensive.
Also there are a lot of seats outside with heaters that creates a chill place with a view on docks, perfect to enjoy "La Dolce Vita".
Give it a try, you won't be disapointed.
Food is just okay. Prices don't reflect the quality (too high for what you get).
Service is polite.
The steak was over cooked and had lots of fat. It came with sweet potato fries which were good.
The Nutella pizza is meh.
The carpaccio was covered with rocket leaves to hide the small portion of meat.
I don't believe I'll be back there.
Absolutely stellar service and patience with my rather rowdy and inebriated companions, food was absolutely amazing, I dare you to find a better pizza.
Really great outdoor heated tent area for Winter. Disappointed about the food, reminded me why I don't eat gnocci. The Sardines were fine, pizza ok and rissotto as well. The Service was great though, attentive and quick to get whatever needed as well as friendly. Probably best to stick to speciality Italian areas like Lygon St.
Very quick service and friendly attentive staff. The outside tables and chairs are definitely due for an upgrade and bring down the experience. The food portions were MASSIVE and the garlic focaccia was superb. The bathrooms were not very clean which was disappointing. We went at 6 pm and it was almost empty. Around 8 on the lights dimmed and the whole atmosphere changed and felt more relaxing/romantic. Good prices as well.
This place is a "must do".
Everytime I am in Melbourne I stay at the (underrated) docklands and make sure I come here.
Make sure you try the 15/10 Bruschetta.everything else is also on point including the great/genuine staff and atmosphere.
I visited this restaurant last year, it was the best food I had in Melbourne. The owner was so friendly and polite and made us feel so welcomed. They seriously deserve better reviews than what they've been getting. A very nice little slice of Italy inside of Melbourne.
Went to Renzos after football on Saturday evening
Plenty of customers in restaurant and outside area where we sat was lovely and warm and inviting.
Food was served very quickly and was of extremely high standard as was presentation.
Service was fantastic, extremely attentive and friendly.
Highly recommend for great food and relaxing night out.
We came from Adelaide and will certainly be back when in Melbourne / Docklands again.
