Renzo's Bar & Restaurant in Docklands

I wasn't impressed with my visit a few years ago, hence I haven't been back since.

However, they've seen to improved their offering; foodwise and drinks.
That Linguine ai Frutti di Mare was special to have while enjoying the view.and at $30.00, it was better in taste and quality than some that cost more, and yes, the linguine was al-dente.

Good place to have lunch and pre-dinner drinks and free views of the harbour.

Trusting that this area will come alive once more, now the lockdown seems to be over and footy season is back across the street.

The food is very delicious and the staff are so friendly. A pleasant time spent, and would do it again

I would have rated this restaurant highly if it weren’t for the owner’s dishonest business practices. The food and service were decent, in fact, the pizza there was great. The part that irks me and has me rating this restaurant poorly was because I had booked the place with an EatClub coupon but the moment I finished the food and went the pay, the coupon disappeared. This is because the owner had reset the restaurant’s coupon deal (I checked the deal again - it changed), resulting in me losing the coupon. I had reminded the owner that I had the deal when I came to dine in.

Okay, so, I'm making amends to this review after getting a call from the developers at EatClub - the coupon should have persisted. Thanks for getting back to me.

Waited an hour and a half for our pizza and it was almost inedible. Disgusting actually! The waiter didn't care at all, when i complained he just shrugged his shoulders. Will NEVER go back!

Been here a few times and I must say the customer service is mainly what makes me come back everytime. Each employee there goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy with everything. The food here is delicious, the portions are just right and it all tastes fresh. Prices are a bit high but I guess the location of it might influence that a bit, But overall it's not too bad.
If you are looking for a place to eat out then I highly recommend renzos bar

Food was great. Let down by surly service. This could be a great place althought it is in a tourist trap. Gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce was rich and yummy. The margharita pizza was very nicely done. Individual experience probably depends on your waiter. Ours was not awesome.

We went to Renzo’s over the Christmas/New Year period while on our little city holiday and it was seriously the highlight! The service by all the staff was impeccable, they were all so friendly and made us feel so welcome. The food and drinks were equally as amazing. The whole experience was very positive and we will definitely be coming back!

Love that they had a vegan option, would definitely go there again. Only problem was they didn't have any vegan desserts

Can't remember a tastier meal!
Everything was just packed full of flavour. Can't wait to go again. Delicious coffee too.
Only negative comment was the veal was a little tough but the flavour made up for it. And I think the dessert was made to order so it took a while coming. Well worth the wait.

Had a lovely meal heal and a good antipasto plate to share, would recommend. Nice waterfront view too.

Five stars for variety and innovative menu, with constantly changing dishes I just have to try. Latest favourite is the peach tart with an amaretto? Ice cream and burnt caramel sprinkles. Their pasta range is much more interesting than your standard Italian, and the menu is generally quite homely. But they also have all the classics, and the pizza is pretty good. I have to say I've been here many times as a local and it is one of my top two in New Quay.

Most authentic Italian food I have ever eaten. My husband and I came here for a quick bite to eat Saturday afternoon between 4 and 7 Peroni on tap is $5 and cocktails are $7. We had a pizza which was to die for and the most delicious Calamari. Highly recommend this place, friendly service too. P. S don’t bother ordering only an entree calamari you will regret it. So delicious a main won’t even be enough

Good and friendly service and we stopped by for a quick bite and ordered a Sicilian pizza which was delicious as was the coffee afterwards. Nice talking to the owner as at our late lunch is was not to crowded. Recommendable to stop by also considering the nice view if the docklands.

Absolutely ten out of ten for service and food. Food was the best we have tasted since being in Melbourne And service including friendliness was of high standard. Would highly recommend

Really nice mis en place entrees, panchello pork was a delightful exploration of textures and flavors, rare beef thinly shaved was also a delight definitely worth trying

Our first visit there was greeted by Renzo and sat out in the breeze next to flowers at the front.meals were grest frssh and no trouble to turn entree mussels into a main course.all meals were good and we finshed with a coconut mango slice.service was good.we shall return.

Enjoyed a 3 course meal with my partner @ Renzo’s tonight. The food was delicious and the service was super friendly. I ordered the calamari, flathead fish and the sticky date pudding. The seafood dishes were tender and well seasoned. The sticky date was yummy! Probably one of the best sticky dates I have eaten. Overall very enjoyable. We will be back!

Renzo always serves up beautiful home made Italian food. His olive oil is off his farm and so tasty. You wont be disappointed with any of his meals.
