Remvi By The Bay reviews
69 I was planning on booking here for my 17th birthday coming up, however after reading these reviews and seeing how the younger "kids" clearly get treated with disgusting behaviour by the staff, I know not to come to this restaurant. Service that has been described in some certain reviews honestly makes me sick to my stomach, an establishment like this should treat everything with respect, no matter who they are. I hope that some of these reviews are fake, otherwise this establishment should look into hiring new staff, rather than petty sounding ones.
REPLY: Organised group? After looking through your replies to other peoples reviews and constructive criticism, your replies are very unprofessional. You sound like a 12 year old whose being unsupervised on the laptop. You should be ashamed of yourself, not regarding any politeness towards customers.
The food was absolutely delicious with generous portions for adults and kids. Beautiful restaurant with an amazing staff.
You are extremely rude and unprofessional, the fact that the replies to these comments are rude and stating they are "fake" is extremely concerning, maybe focus on your restaurant rather than the comments people leave stating their experience, which you are telling people their experiences are untrue. Just because someone ate all of their $166 banquet doesn't mean it tasted good, some people don't like to waste their money?
I went here for my birthday and had the worst service i have ever experienced, ruined my birthday.waitresses were so disrespectful and condescending.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Terrible service with rude and arrogant staff members, clearly showing in their unprofessional response to the reviews. Food was average but not worth the price. The customer service experience is what made this unenjoyable. EDIT- I came on a date not in a group of friends.unsure of your unprofessional reply
Came in and ordered kids meals and was told we weren’t allowed as we weren’t under 12 and it was a Friday night which was fair. Then told that we had to order a main meal each and was made very uncomfortable. I explained I didn’t have enough for a main meal as I’m a 16 year old working a minimum wage job with going out for dinner eating a main meal I won’t even eat half of a priority. I got stared at a rude look as well as my other friend. My friend then proceeded to order a entree and was told she wasn’t allowed to? We were stared at for 30 seconds making everyone feel uncomfortable and wanting to leave. Waitress was rude and arrogant and then heard us being talked about to fellow co workers which we could all hear because at the time it was only us and 2 others in the restaurant. Very awful experience and i wouldn’t recommend. We were made to feel scared and uncomfortable which no one wants in their own restaurant right?
EDIT - 3 of us didn't order main meals which you knew as you took our orders, so you saying that we forgot to mention it isn't true whatsoever. The fact that your reply was even rude and there was no apology for the way we were treated especially being talked about to your co workers when we can hear you is the most unprofessional behaviour i have seen in a restaurant ever. Obviously this has happened before, taking into account the other reviews much like ours. You need to look at your behaviour towards your customers. Maybe takeaway only is the right option for your restaurant as your customer service skills are lacking immensely.
Extremely bad customer service.i was apart of the group of girls who went for a casual dinner.waitress was beyond rude, could of let us know nicely we had to spend a minimum of $30 (which we weren't looking to spend) instead of making us feel uncomfortable and intimidated to order.the replies to comments on the reviews are appalling as well. Very unprofessional. Food was average. Extremely confused as to how they have a 4 star rating.do not recommend.will not be returning.
It was a complete let down and to top it off some of us who ate the galatoburiko had food poisoning! The food was salty to the point where it was difficult to eat and overpriced. A token Greek to serve the food and take orders but now run by Indians! A once great restaurant has lost its authenticity and cuisine. Very disappointing!
The waitress was extremely rude and didn't let me and my friends order specific food.this would have been fine if the waitress calmly and respectfully explained the situation but this is not what occurred. The food was severely overpriced for the quality and taste of the food. Very disappointed
this is not a fake review, as I was there on Friday 25th of March. I'm trying to provide honest feedback so this Restaurant can learn and thrive off these reviews to make themselves the best Restaurant they can possibly be. Thank you
Family favourite, authentic Greek flavours with options for small and large groups.
Meat platters to share is one of the house specials
Had the banquet, food was pretty good, salad was very bland. Service was very average. Banquet size wax lacking and no pita bread.
Delicious! We had the buffet and everything was very flavourful with authentic taste. Service was friendly albeit a little bit slow. Will definitely be back:)
The best Greek in Melbourne! We are so happy they’re within our 10km during lockdown. Highly recommend.
Extremely underwhelming, I honestly don't know how it got a 4 star rating.customer service was good but the food was below average I could have cooked better at home unfortunately
Absolutely beautiful place, food is amazing, big servings and service is fantastic. Love this restaurant!
My first dining Greek Restaurant and my first Greek food experience. Owing to the very poor service that we received from your waitress attitude and also the quality of food.
The food was ok but the service was terrible. We were a large group who ordered several banquettes. They gave us one plate each for the entire night to use rather than taking away after each meal. The taking away of used glasses and empty bottles was non existent. I literally had to put them all on the vacant table next to me to clear some table space. Took a very long time to be served and orders taken, then the food took forever to come, it was a drag to get water topped up, simply not good enough. Would i come again? Probably not, i don't like giving bad reviews to restaurants but if they can't get the service right then why should i come back?
Solidly good food and exceptionally great service from Sue, the waitress who was very accommodating and tried everything to ensure our group's important night was made special.
On the weekend invited to a family celebration and coming from a family with a partner with greek background, was looking forward to an amazing feast. What a disappointment! Food was slow to come out. Some of it inedible, basic salad was soaked in vinegar. Gyros was chopped finely and minimal as each platter was meant to serve four. No cultery for serving off the platters. My one olive was Ok. We had the same dinner plate throughout the meal, which contaminated the next courses if you didn't finish the previous. Trying to just get some water was a chore. Only asked 3 times. If you want good Greek food, dont come here or buy a cookbook. Any home cook would create tastier food.
Great food for a great price! The meat platter to share is very good and very generous serving. Have been here a few times and would definitely come back! Service is always good and staff very attentive. Would have to be my favourite Greek restaurant in Williamstown!
