Regent Theatre reviews
39Venue is lovely ex hotel thr queue to ladies is ridiculous. Don't drink much! Went and seen Moulin Rouge, not really to my liking. Just seem to lack a little piazzaz.
The bathrooms are not accessible enough, one toilet for disabled bathrooms, and a queue of about 100 people trying to go to the bathroom.
Fantastic non stop brilliants dancer singers actor's the best entertainment by far love every minutes of it wow wow wonderful entertainment
Thank God for the unions who prevented this master piece from being re developed. A truly beautiful piece of architecture. The theatre access is excellent, sears are comfortable and the stalls seating is an excellent location to view the production. The show Moulin Rouge was excellent. Certainly I would recommend attending.
Lovely venue, had good seats near the middle. Stage props were fantastic. Drinks organised very well if you preorder other wise a big queue also huge queue for toilets. The Moulin Rouge show was fantastic. Good cast.
The Regent theatre always puts on the best shows in such beautiful surroundings. It really makes live performances extra special when visiting.
Crowded no social distancing, wouldn't go back. Was surprised that a venue larger than the princess theatre would be such a disappointment.
Went to see Harry Potter in this iconic theater. As a child in the 50 and 60s this and the Plaza i remember had fantastic interiors. The Regent has been faithfully restored to it original decor. New very comfortable seats complements this.
The grande dame of Australian metro picture palaces preserved as a live theatre. The auditorium is too boxy to have ideal accoustics but it makes do. The seats are large and comfortable. The architecture and interior design are to die for. A night out at the Regent is a must-have Melbourne experience.
Watched "Chess the Musical". Was 30 years since I last watched it live and was very impressed, especially with the "Russians".
Beautiful architecture! Must check out the ceiling. It was great to see the musical theatre of Billy Elliot and last minute tickets still available. A beautiful venue to see entertainment.
Billy Elliot was absolutely wonderful, and to share the show at the Regent Theatre made the evening magic
I saw Billy Elliot the musical last night.
Awesome theatre, beautiful decorations and of course the show was amazing!
The show I saw was fantastic Billy Elliott and the Regent Theatre just beautiful. Nothing like going to a beautiful theatre.
A great theatre to watch a show, the sets are comfortable, the location is great with restaurants close by, parking is close as well
Jersey Boys last night was amazing. Sat in the front row, plenty of leg room, seats are comfortable and roomy. Acoustics of the theatre are amazing.
One of Melbourne's great theatrical institutions. Has an old world charm about it. If there's a show on that's to your liking then it is worth dropping in to experience a bit of old world Melbourne.
Went to the 1pm Matinee of Jersey Boys at the beautiful Regent Theatre. This is such a wonderful theatre to watch a show at as it doesn't matter where the seats are you still have a great view. Lots of leg room.
Great service. Wonderful surroundings. Unusual food. I didn’t love the food but it was pretty amazing for serving 400 people.
