Red Triangle Snooker Room reviews
40 Wow, we would play there twice a week back in the 90s. It used to be a great place with a great atmosphere to play pool.
What a dump of a joint it has become.
Very busy and yet no money spent in upkeep. I don't think I would be going back in a hurry.
Great place to hang and shoot some pool. Nice selection of non-alcoholic beverages available including the famous milk shakes.
There are plenty of tables to play on and they have a range of sizes available. Equipment is in good condition and cues and not shot like in most pubs. Early afternoon discounts available
Probably the best place in the town! Jacinta is super nice and lovely and looks after the place exceptionally well!
The thickshakes are to die for! And love the coffees and toasties! Absolutely amazing
Great little find, and hard to spot if you don't know where to look, we stumbled across this quaint pool hall on the way home from dinner one evening. Reasonably priced and friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere all led to a nice post-dinner activity. Could see myself easily coming back. The establishment itself is a bit run down, and the carpet could do with a vacuum, but who the hell cares - and I think it adds character to the overall feel of the place.
Have always liked this place in the past. But went in and was disappointed. A nearly empty space but still put on a table with ripped felt and seemed an imposition when asked to change. The music was one country singer (and not a good one) felt depressed and couldn’t stay more than two games.
-Great value pool, $20 per hour
-People who work there are always friendly and welcoming
-You can play chess if the pool tables are full
-Milkshakes are very filling and would recommend trying one
-Open until 2am, great for a late night activity
Easy 5 stars, have been here many times and will come back!
Well, this place is a little gem. Great atmosphere and it's alcohol free, just people playing pool having a really good time as did we! Awesome milkshakes too!
Great place and amazing vibes. Tom made me the best tiramisu milkshake ever and he also has the best music taste:) will definitely be coming back
If you want to play snooker or pool, this has to be the best place in Melbourne. I originally played pool here in the early 90's and recently went back after 30 years. I loved that the place has not changed at all. It's roomy, where players are not bumping into other players. I also recommend the Ferrero Milk Shake.
Absolutely crazy stuck up RUDE staff who are living in their own crazy world … in their own head! Won’t ever come back here, run by psychos
Whilst waiting for a table we were yelled at and called bogans by a staff member who was wearing no shoes.
I grew up in rural VIC but I didn’t think my pronunciation was that bad
Old favourite pool and snooker with best milkshakes on planet earth! No alcohol policy! Please keep this treasure alive for your children!
Laid back place when I arrived, friendly staff, if you need some fitness the stairs climb is just right for you, otherwise awesome.
CAT & SAT.
Tino is the man.
Don’t change a thing.
There are goodies to be had.
This is the best so far I have experienced, in terms of location, tables and mostly the money the charge is very very Reasonable. I give my well deserved 5 stars. Thank you for entertaining us. I will come around again after this Covid lockdowns
I came into red triangle tonight and was greeted by your staff member mimi she was very accommodating and makes one hell of a milkshake ill definitely be coming back
An absolute institution of Fitzroy, more or less unchanged since the 70's - the chairs, flooring and general interior are all original - it's like stepping into a time capsule. The dinginess is all part of the charm.
My parents have been coming here since they were in their twenties, and now I'm able to appreciate the place exactly as they did, forty years ago. It's an unreal place to bring your mates, order a pizza, have the best milkshake of your life, and play a couple games of pool.
10/10, hope this place never changes or closes.
Come for the great prices and atmosphere, stay because the stairs are old af and your paranoid they'd collapse
A laid back & cosy place with soft jazz playing in the background. Quite a few pool tables & a few snooker tables available. The milkshakes are so good here, hands down! Been visiting this place for almost a decade. It's such an old building but it has such an awesome atmosphere. You can't hear the traffic on Brunswick street which is great too! The pool room is located upstairs. I find this place very therapeutic and I find that I can just sit down and enjoy a warm drink, while people play pool. The old carpet and aging building is really fab, along with the gentle sound of the floorboards lightly creaking beneath the carpet.
A renovation would be all that’s needed for the venue to be exceptional, as the tables and flooring are unfortunately not too fresh, but still playable. The service is friendly and communicative, and the milkshakes are absolutely delicious, don’t hesitate to try one with all the different flavours available.
