Red Hill Bakery Balnarring reviews
58Delicious baked goods. Warm fire in winter. Great selection baked goods and ready made baguettes for delicious breakfast or lunch. Dine in or takeaway.
Lots of beautifully presented food healthy and sometimes treats. Very busy happy helpful staff. Everyone can find something they like here If you cant you are just not trying. Thankyou keep up the good work.
The worse tasting and most overpriced pie I have ever bought. It wasn't even hot enough. These are difficult times and they were busy. How can we support local business if the qualtiy is just not there. The IGA across the square sells better and cheaper pies I can take home and heat.
Great Bakery at the Balnarring Shopping Complex. Good variety of foods including Vegan options. Offers take away, indoor and outdoor dining.
Excellent place for coffee and food. Their bread is delicious. Pleasant atmosphere, time well spent)
A wonderful place to stop for lunch. A great assortment of pies, quiches and those keto style savoury muffins. Yum.
Then the pastry and cake counter.oh my!?
Amazing vanilla slices. 5️⃣
The peanut butter flan. 5️⃣
The Black Forest flan. 5️⃣
The staff are really efficient and friendly too. Lovely outdoor and indoor seating. Definitely, a stand out bakehouse.
The best apple pies! Delicious vanilla slices, no thick super sickly sweet icing, instead super flaky, delicious pastry topped with icing sugar. Lovely filling. We are addicted!
Approx 2pm June 29th 2021.
Middle aged woman behind the counter was rude and unwilling to help when asked what pies were still available, and discovered she still got my order wrong after we'd driven off. Not a pleasant experience either end, won't be back.
Great Coffee and food.lunch was deli and the band, music on Sunday was superb.if you want to chill out and just enjoy a old tune.go check it out
Mince filling in pies is like slop. Mince too finely processed. I don't like a chunky pie at all, but these mince ones go too far the other way. Bland and tasteless.
A nice bakery with a good variety of bread, muffins, cakes, etc. I ordered a
coffee which was awesome as well. There are parking places as well. Definitely go there again when I am in that area, highly recommended!
EVERY Sunday afternoon Jazz, great bunch of musos and the baker at their best - great music, good fresh bakers food, drinks and people, laid back, local community atmosphere, a Peninsula treasure!
Great bakery / delicatessen. Partner loved the steak pie that had real chunks of meat in it. The croissant was a tad salty in the beginning but it was soooo good. Dd had fresh strawberries and a really fudgey brownie. The lady who served us the hot drinks was super helpful and nice and approachable. The bread was soft on the inside and just right on the out.
This was amazing. The pie was honestly the best pie I have ever eaten. So full of flavour I didn't need any sauce which I usually add. It made me wish I had more stomachs. I ordered the burgandy pie which was chunky beef. My partner got the builders which was mince. I knew the steak would be good but good but even the mince was so full of flavour.
Staff need to learn what is in their products. Asked if the med tart/quiche had meat in it as a vegetarian, the lady at the counter said no. She was wrong. Contains bacon.
We ordered the beef and rosemary pie. It was great but a bit bland.
The service was fast and pleasant.
It’s a lovely homely place with a crackling fire going and loverly staff. I would definitely recommend this place.
We live locally so it's no surprise to enjoy a coffee and roll or other lunch item at Red Hill Bakery. Unfortunately the service has not been great lately; today both the service and food was really below par. The ham, cheese, rocket, pickle baguette was quite bad with an oversupply of poor quality cheese. We see the food is now pretty ordinary yet with an exceptionally high price tag. At $29.80 for two rolls, it's reasonable to expect something pretty special. Further, it doesn't cost anything to be polite and smile, both sadly lacking today. There's no incentive to return to this once special eatery.
Traditional Aussie bakery. Crusty fresh bread, delicious lunch of sandwiches, hot pies and cakes. Cosy in winter with an open fire, coffee, food and the local newspaper on the tables. Also a fine food grocery with local cheeses and wine for sale.
We used to love their beef and burgundy pies, now they have jacked up the prices to over 7 bucks for a pie. Today we had 3 and they were all terrible no flavour, dry meat with lots of gross bits.
