To the blonde lady who made my coffee on Sunday 28/01, that was very good. Boss-she deserves a raise.

Great food - like really good! Very busy on weekends but the live band is a great addition. Frittata is amazing!

Find a better salad roll! You won't! Most delicious bread and cheese/salad rolls. Vegan options and always open to making something on request. Friendly staff and the wine/fruit bread is so good. So is the artichoke dip. They have mini hot cross bun things year round for free with your coffee.

The BEST Vanilla Slice in Australia, having travelled for the past 15 months and visited many, many bakeries and coming from the home of the supposed best Vanilla Slices in Australia (SA). I had actually stopped eating them but my partner bought this for me, and wow - I'm bloody hooked again.

A very nice find on saturday lunch, good range of food, friendly staff along with a nice atmosphere to sit and enjoy. Excellent bakery for that casual lunch or great takeaway

Been many times. Pies average. Chips good. Sausage rolls good. Desserts fine and good. Other food fine. If pies had better fillings would of rated higher but not much difference to footy pies.

Delicious pies and bread. Great service although there is almost always a line of people waiting to get in. Only doing takeaway at the moment (although you can sit at their tables, both inside and out). Live music on Sundays but you will need to book well in advance to get a table inside. You can order ahead for drinks, but not food.

Nothing fancy here, except for the great assortment of bread, cakes, sandwiches, pies, Quiches and all the other good stuff as well as coffee and some beer and wine, oh, and I forgot the Jazz quartet in the corner. I friend told us about this place, which is in Balnarring not Red Hill.so being a quiet Sunday we headed out, not confident that it was even open (turns out the phone was playing up). We got in, ordered our pies and sandwiches just before the Jazz Combo started. It turned into a very pleasant afternoon as they ran through a medley of jazz standards. We arrived at 1pm and left at 3pm as the band played on. From the numbers of takeout customers queued, and tapped along as they collected their food it was obvious this was a popular outlet. All in all a pleasant afternoon

Food was good, but a bit pricey. Very long waiting time for service and staff rather unfriendly.

It was busy but the service was quick and the food was delicious! Not cheap but worth it for the quality of the food. We got sandwiches and a donut. Could not fault them. Would definitely recommend if your visiting the area.

Food and variety is brilliant. Fireplace, seating and happy to explain food you do not know. Good coffee range and bread varieties. Also have food to go in a deep freeze such as pizza, home made soups and more. Happy to return again and again.

Since relocating to the area last year I have longed so badly for a scrumptious, oh so delicious sausage roll. How hard is it to make a GOOD sausage roll that keeps me wanting to go back to that same bakery (often). Well, apparently very difficult locally. That was until yesterday when I thought to myself 'wait, Balnarring surly has a bakery' so off I trotted at about 11am and chose The Red Hill Baker as my first stop. I thought it must have been good because the line was actually out the door when I got there and there were plenty of people enjoying a sit down meal. Service was super quick. I grabbed a sausage roll and a duck pie (yes, duck pie) for later. Sweet mother of Jeebus that sausage roll was like heaven. Probably the best sausage roll I've ever eaten.so great, I went and got one for breakfast this morning. The duck pie was absolutely delicious too. 100% taking the family here for a feed. I love that you can purchase frozen meals, pies and good too. What an awesome store. Staff have een super friendly too both time's I have been

My son James treated us to hot cross buns with vanilla custard in the middle. OMG they were absolutely amazing!
Hope you do them next Easter!

If it takes half an hour to make a take away coffee you need more staff. Edit- it took 40 minutes for you to make 2 coffees

Service was friendly. Chicken curry pie had the consistency of vomit, and repeated on me.

Steak and pepper pie is brilliant.
