This was one of the best escape rooms I've done. Staff are amazing. The escape rooms are really well done with challenging but do able clues. Highly recommended.

We did the Alien escape room and wow wow wow. The technology, setup and customer service is top notch! I didn't catch our customer service reps name, bloke with long hair and glasses but wow what amazing customer service!

Enjoyable experience and great escape room setups. We'll be back to try the other rooms!

Worst escape room we've done (and we've done a lot).

The puzzles (at least for this room) logically made no sense, just a lot of fancy lights and effects.

The room 'helping us' by solving puzzles does way more harm than good, it's super confusing to tell whether a puzzle is completed or still requires attention.

There is no order on what needs to be completed next, the hints we were given by staff indicated one thing, but another hint not long after (from someone else) indicated something else.

Staff weren't able to explain the room at the end, saying things like 'just spam it a lot of times' and 'this room is just hard'.

Overall, it's fair to say fancy effects and a high budget can't substitute a well designed room. Think it might be best to fire the IT team and re-invest into the Design team.

You didn't miss the WOW factor, we were WOW'd on how bad it was.

We did the old haunt. Echoing what others said, the overuse of audio clues combined with things being automatically solved for us felt a bit like we were playing with ‘cheat mode on’. One of the puzzles completed itself without any intervention from
Us. Additionally, when unlocking the 2nd space, you’re immediately thrown into ‘do this’ by audio clues rather than being allowed to solve things on your own and explore the room. Unlikely to go back which is a shame as both other places (gold & karaoke) were quite fun

Absolutely loved this place! It was a nice touch that they send reminder texts with riddles in them. We did the Shutdown room and the attention to detail and effort put into making it seem real was second to none. Especially our lovely host Mauve who had the best Irish accent and really added to the story and authenticity, even keeping the accent up when on the phone for hints. Would definitely recommend

They advertise a fun pass on the front desk (pictured in photo). Scan the qr code and buy the family fun pass for 8 players at the escape room. But then they don't accept it at the venue. They confirmed the venue is owned by the same company that sells the funpass but they don't accept it. They said to try booking online but there is no way of booking with it online.

My husband and I have completed many escape rooms around the australia and are yet to fail, we escapade old haunt with only 4 minutes left! Definitely the coolest and certainly one the of most difficult escape rooms we’ve ever done! The AI aspect of the room is super awesome! A massive thank you to Maeve for a giving us a great experience and friendly service! We will be back for sure!

Did the old haunt room and OMG what a great time we had! The pentagram puzzle had us a bit stumped but we got there in the end. Maeve was super informative in the briefing and was phenomenal in character. Such a good idea for a day out with friends.

We sucked at the room but Mazz was amazing! 10/10 for his acting skills (also explaining how to do the room once we failed)!

Did the alien invasion escape room. The three people that were working last night where all so absolutely amazing. Special shout out to Maeve and Bug who were just so fun and funny. The escape room itself was very well decorated and very immersive. The only issue is that the room had a fewww technical issues. Sometimes it just skips over tasks if it decides you take too long, which is a little frustrating because you dont know that it’s automatically skipped it and you keep going back to the same task assuming it’s incomplete which wastes a bit of time. They do give u a bit of a heads up before u go in but you still don’t really realise when it actually happens when youre in the room. If that makes any sense

My partner and i did the old haunt escape room! Very fun and such a great experience! But the best thing was the staff and how amazing they made the experience! Very good! 10/10 recommend

The staff were super friendly, the free drinks were a really nice touch and the mini games while waiting for your room were so fun!
I consider myself an experienced escape room player having done over 20+ rooms.
However, this missed the mark. Technology and escape rooms are great but this used way too much technology for my liking.
The main issue for me was that the room would automatically solve the puzzles which left me wondering whether what I did was correct or not. I would have rather failed on the first puzzle than to progress because the room made me do it.
We also had to rely on so much audio clues and hints, which made it hard to discuss between each other because we had to pay attention to the audio as well. Some of the audio was also hard to hear.
Good try guys, but unfortunately I won't be back anytime soon.

The hype is real, I love puzzles and riddle and bauxite all brain teasers, and I must say the escape room was amazing everything I wanted and more I didn't even realise an hour went by

Great experience! Some great warm up puzzles to get your brain in gear and then the room itself was suitably challenging, with a variety of puzzles. Excellent staff. Had an awesome time would 100% reccomend.

We have tried 20+ escape rooms in Melbourne and more around the world. We're pretty much escape room addicts.

We completed Old Haunt (the easiest and in our view the most fun) first and really enjoyed it. We then went back a week later to try Shutdown and had a frustrating customer service issue which resulted in us being unable to complete the room on the last puzzle. We provided feedback explaining our frustration and the owner Josh replied within a couple of days with an apology, a decent enough excuse and even offered us Alien Invasion for free. We went back and did the room today.

These Red Herring rooms at Crown are very polished rooms with interesting clever puzzles and outstanding set design. The overall experience, from being greeted all the way through to the debrief was very much worth he price tag.

Had an absolutely awesome time at this escape room! The room was complex and clever with a wonderful mixture of cool technological puzzles and simple, yet ingenious, problems. Also big shout out to the guy manning the room, who was fun and hilarious while we waited, giving us great conversation and some tricky puzzles to complete. Would definitely recommend.
