rebel Melbourne Central reviews
41Many stores suffer from a lack of staff whom one can ask questions. But not here as I could find enough staff members to help me out.
Had to exchange my shoes to a different size (it was my mistake) Jacob at the store sorted it out for me very quickly. Really good service and good products
When asked for a particular piece of equipment the salesperson replied " we don't sell much sporting goods here". Says it all really.
Staff just stare at you from the counter and don't ask to help, way overpriced too. Generally just a bad place to shop, especially when you can buy the same items they stock 30% cheaper online.
The food is delicious and staff member are so friendly, I’m so glad to have this Mexican restaurant in Melb!
I got to your store 11am after a long flight to buy walking/running shoes. It’s pretty disappointing the customer service you provided at the shoes area. There were four of them chatting and so aggressive and didn’t want to give and help my shoe type. I ended up liking a $259 shoes and this guy (tall) was so discriminating the way he spoke and gave attitude. I ask another person to help to get another pair to try and he went to get the size and walked back with no shoes and no explanation (Asian). The same guy came back to me and was standing and looking at me when I said I’m waiting that guys to help me with the size. He goes there are no sizes in This shoes you want. (That’s all he said) Not wanting to help the customer. So disappointed the way your staff work. I needed shoes urgently. You lost the business, I was about to choose from two pairs and how sad I’m a loyal customer to Rebel. You need to improve Your service. I reported this to the manager who walked in to the store from outside. I felt very discriminated in this stores. 4staff members talking rubbish could have helped me to give business to you”lol. She apologised. I said I don’t won’t to buy shoes from this store. I’m happy to go to another store.
Located down one level, this store has everything you would expect from Rebel and the staff were very helpful.
Looked for cricket bat.but it wasn't available in this store. I was recommended to visit their Bourke street branch and purchased one there
Not too many stuffs you can find from here, also abit difficult to find it.i have to call to the store's phone number to get directions. I would suggest them to specify the store in which level in Melbourne Central in their website, it's much easier for shoppers (by the way it's base floor 1 right under the ground floor in Lonsdale gate, it took about 30mins to go around to find it in many floors: ()
Get all your sporting equipment and fitness apparel from Rebel. Great friendly staff with nice clean store.
They had what I wanted and I knew that it was in store through their website. Service was okay.
Great service! The staff helped us find the item i was looking for from another rebel store with a quick phone call.
A very good sports store! With a large assortment of footwear and sports clothing. Very reasonably priced
Staff very friendly. Stock supplies quite good. Some of the specials are very good. One of the better Rebel stores. We were down for Origin and they certainly catered for our need with a wonderful scarf that was reasonably priced.
I did find the counter for paying a little confusing as you were not sure who was working and if they were free. But this is more of a first world problem.
No enough staff at the store. Went there on saturday looking for shoes. There was two staffs at shoe section both attending to customers. Waited 15 minutes still was no help. Approached one of them who was chatting to customer. Was told to wait. Waited again. He brought the shoes but they didnt fit. Didnt want to ask the staff again cause they busy so i just left.
Date 27/12/2017. Worst customer service ever.
Bought a pump for inflating basketball. However, the sealer wrapping the joint of cylinder and rope appeared to be malfunctioning - it was leaking when reaching certain pressure level - the ball could never be more than 70% filled up. I had to pull the rope to ensure the sealer ring fully attached to the joint, while pumping.
Took it back to the shop. Obviously they were not happy that a customer went up and advised their goods were not usable.
The shop assistant called another lady to help argue and they successfully showed me how 2 adults together were able to use the faulty pump to do the job, with finger pressing the robe (same as I did), in effort of endless strokes and a couple of minutes, to inflate the ball soft enough for kindergarten. They also claimed the holes in the cylinder were "designed to avoid over-pumping" to explain the sound of leak. Great, everyday we learn new things - well, to me, the six holes seemed to be for inhaling the air from outside back to the cylinder at each stroke.as the pump works. Simply felt the whole conversation was pathetic.
I had to demonstrate how a proper pump (brought another pump of different brand from the shelf) could be used to inflate a ball without leak and within 10 seconds, just to persuade them that the reason for returning was authentically due to the faulty product, not because that I was making up a fact.
These two ladies went into the "we-have-to-be-tough" mode, yelling: "This is not a faulty product and we cannot return or refund. " "It is the problem of your ball! " Sadly, the ball was also purchased from REBEL several months ago. The ball is fine.
Not everyone was insane in the shop. The trainee manager was kind and returned for me when the shop assistant was still yelling with eyes extended to the size of pigeon egg. I paid for the margin for the NIKE pump. Hopefully they will not put the faulty product back to the shelf - it will be a fat-burning tool only.
How does REBEL hire these people? Normally the staff were good at their products and did great introduction and sales.
Good range of sports clothing and equipment. I went in looking for a specific rugby ball and a member of staff managed to find it in the stock room.
Good range or sports equipment and a very substantial basket ball area which is nice because most shops don't have a big enough variety.
Quite a limited selection available in this store, you are better off going to the bigger Rebel store on Bourke St.
Went to the shops to buy a basket ball but came back with 4 stds and still no basketball. 1 star
