The most useless agency ever, they’re a big scaaaam they will just take your money & you will never hear back from them again!

So nervous going in to St. Kilda Road Towers. Don't be. The staff there are very friendly and professional. Although it was a bit smaller than expected, we were made to feel comfortable and could relax while everything was explained & laid out before us. Nice & clean offices & studio with sensational panoramic views of the city and the bay. Wouldn't mind working there everyday! Lol.

Do not waste your time with these people been waiting for work and when something came up always rejected.and I know what they say “ LUCK OF THE GAME “” when you sighed a contract in which they don’t keep up there end of the deal and you find out all these fore and five star reviews are fake since I’ve done background cheeks. I asked several people about there reviews and experience with real people and they have had no idea what real people are!? Don’t waste your time or money! SCAMMERS ALLERT!

Didn't appear to know anything about me but they reached out to me first. As I didn't sign there and then on the dotted line I got short shifted out the door.

Real People are a Fantastic team, I'm very happy and fortunate to have them as my agent. Was with them for 1 year, didn’t receive ONE job from them. Paid $400 upon joining, they wanted another $99 after the first year finished (despite not providing even ONE job). I still see them on SEEK trying to recruit more people. Terrible. Oh, and amazing how many positive reviews they have from people with 1 review.

I originally saw the posting on SEEK and thought that it would be the perfect opportunity for me to try something along the lines of modelling and being a tv extra. However, I was worried that I wouldn't be up for the role as I have never had any previous experience in this position.

Immediately after I met Mario, I was assured that I am not the only one who is inexperienced and that people with a variety of experiences are often employed. Therefore this was the perfect environment for me to grow in. Nathan was very accommodating and patient with the bombardment of questions I had with regards to how work is assigned and how often it will be assigned.

The responses I have received thus far has been very insightful and helpful. I was reassured of my position and given good feedback on how to perform better. Honestly, I have had so much fun thus far. I am really looking forward to when I receive my first job. The team does so well and goes above and beyond to notify me whenever an available job is ready for me to apply.

My experience has been great! The team are very professional welcoming, friendly and approachable. Everything from my first inquiry to the photo shoot for my profile was easy, effortless and fun, and took less than a week. Nathan and Mario are very quick to respond to any questions and they instantly made me feel comfortable, confident and excited! Thanks team!

This is a scam preying mainly on younger people dreaming of acting.

They dont care about experience or qualifications, Instead you are given a sales pitch to give them $500 just to take your photo and put it on the website.
Ontop of that, If you get any work they will take %15 for themselves and you must sign a contract agreeing to $28 p/h and it mentions THREE TIMES "gigs are not guaranteed" not to mention no refunds.

Every year they demand $100 just to keep you on the website. Clearly taking advantage of others hard work if they are lucky to even get enough random shifts to make back the bad investment.

The whole "business" consists of a tiny fake looking tacky office hidden in a tower filled with other renting businesses. The fake flowers inside represent how fake this company is.

I have just started with the team at Real People and it has been a positive and professional experience. Mario and Nathan have been fantastic, guiding me through the process. Zac who did the photo shoot was also so good. I felt relaxed and the photos are great. Looking forward to working with this whole team in the future.

There are a lot of negative comments online about this agency. Like many, I was given the hard sell & told to pay $400 upfront. My husband thought I'd been completely duped &, after reading all the reviews, I felt completely disheartened. However, since registering in September, I've had three roles (in Blacklight, How to Stay Married & a tv commercial), & it's been so much fun! I'm just a regular person - no acting or modelling experience, so to be an extra has been an eye opener. Do yourself a favour, don't read the reviews. Just sign up & enjoy the experience!

A little story of how this "agency" operates.

I found myself unemployed at the start of 2020. Applying for jobs, I saw an ad on seek for these guys thought why not and gave it a try. Got called in for an "interview". Next thing I know, I signed the dotted line and paid $399 for a photo shoot. On reflection, I should of just walked away without paying but that's beside the point. Low and behold, before I can book in my photoshoot, covid strikes Melbourne hard. I leave Melbourne (thank god) and move home to NSW. Some time passed and I do my tax return and notice this receipt. $399 is alot of money for someone during a during a pandemic. I email them and explain I have moved away from Melbourne, can you help me out. They call me back. I explain the situation. Best they can do is half my money back. Whatever. Has to clear it with the owner (Mario) ? I don't hear back. Weeks pass by, I follow up. I don't hear back.

Thanks for taking my $399 and delivering no service. Are they legally allowed to do this? Probably?

Ethically, you are lower than used condom salesmen.

My wife and l have just joined Real People and already have completed our first assignment on a Sporting Advertisement. Everything done very professionally from the very start.the interview with Nathan, the photo shoot, quick email response from any further questions we had and the emails from Emma to connect our first assignment all worked perfectly.
We were only extras on the set but you just go along with the flow and listen to the Director and all works well. The Crew made sure we were fed well and relaxed between shoots.they also were a pleasure to work with.

The staff is always super speedy with responses and super helpful. A really caring and switched on agency.

I have recently joined the team at Real People. They were very welcoming and informative. The photographer put you at ease making it a stress free session. Although still in the process I am looking forward to working with them. The communication has been great!
