Real People Victoria reviews
70Love the energy of this place. Very professional, and shooting with the photographers as step one is probably one of the most valuable things you can do, Sofia, such a creative person who made this process really easy and rewarding.
Amazing experience with the guys, and the beautiful Sofia, who did the professional photos, made me feel so confident in my skin and relaxed during the session.
Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity to work on 2nd August For extra work. I really enjoyed and has great fun and so much learning and observations I had.
It was a privilege and I am so blessed to have this opportunity.
Great respect team.
I have recently joined Real People Victoria, and I found them to be very professional and friendly. I have created a profile, which was easy, and I am ready for an assignment. *Just started my first job, 06/09/2023.
I recommend them. Don't wait, register ASAP.
I recently had an experience with this company and unfortunately, I will not be renewing my contract with them. When I initially signed up, I was promised work that would cover the fees I paid, but I have not received any job offers despite putting my name down for most of them. Additionally, 95% of the jobs that were sent to me had a 'NO TATTOO' status, which is confusing since I have many visible tattoos.
The portfolio photos taken of me were terrible and unprofessional. The photographer wore holey tracksuit pants and a dirty shirt and rushed through the photo shoot, making me feel uncomfortable. Despite the promise to check our profiles for professionalism, no one ever contacted us.
Overall, my experience with this company was poor and unprofessional, and I would not recommend them to anyone looking for reliable work opportunities. Don’t waste your money!
Although I have tried to contact them with this feedback, I have not received a response! I find it strange that they will keep messaging me via email and text messaging for money to resign with them, but nothing if they do not get money from me.
"I am thrilled to share my heartfelt review for Real People. As a company that has been in the market since the early 2000s, their experience and expertise are evident. It's disheartening to see some 1-star reviews calling them a scam, as I believe it reflects a negative energy from those individuals.
Real People charges fees solely for photos and composite cards needed for casting if you're an actor. This approach is absolutely legitimate, as investing in your career is crucial. If you don't receive calls for jobs, you have the option to schedule an appointment and seek advice from the agent. They can also guide you towards different casting platforms or help assess your positioning. It's a valuable opportunity to understand where you stand and make necessary adjustments.
In my opinion, writing a review that questions the legitimacy of a company like Real People is an unfair way to judge them. They have proven themselves over the years and provided opportunities for aspiring actors. If your goal is to succeed in this industry, investing in yourself and seeking guidance are essential steps. Real People has been a supportive platform for me, and I encourage others to consider their services.
Thank you, Real People, for your commitment to helping actors grow and thrive in the industry. "
My experienced with the team are very professional specially Mario he is very assertive, friendly, welcoming and I believe that I am getting a lot of work, so I’m looking forward for many opportunities with Real people
I recently joined Real People last week. I was a little nervous but as soon as I walked in the door I was nicely greeted and welcomed in. I met with Nathan and he was awesome, welcoming and comforting. He ran me through with how the agency works. I got my photos taken with Sophia and she was super friendly as well. I received my photos the day after and I’m happy with how they turned out. Now I’m on the Real People website and I’m excited to be apart. I thank RP for helping me reach my goal of joining an agency. Thank You.

I am having a really good experience with the company. At the biginning I went to the office, to introduce my self, I had a chat and the staff was really clear and proactive, they send me the information right away, they have a really good communication. After a few weeks with offers I have been selected to be extra for a tv show. The shooting was super fun, and all the extra were from Real People too. If I have to highlight something I will say that the communication was fantastic (they always answer my questions) and I will thanks Connor, Nathan and Mark.
Ok I’ll tell you exactly what they do. They ask you to come for an interview and give you a piece of paper to read quickly. It says you gotta pay $499 on the day if you wanna sign up. They don’t mention this before you go there. If you change your mind in couple of days. They will not refund you anything. They run this business just to make more people to sign up. If you are lucky you’ll get some work once in a blue moon.
If I could rate it negative.believe me I would! I literally just put my name down and got three emails from a guy by the name of Nathan, the most recent one which I've since replied to he said "Hi there, can you email me a jpeg headshot so I can create the profile please. "
which to me came across very pushy since I hadn't replied to the previous emails til that last one, I said in my response "I’ve gotten like three emails from you, I haven’t replied so I’m just not sure as to why you would keep pushing? " to which he also then kept replying saying "oops sorry my mistake" and I then replied again saying "Yeah, your mistake. Seems dodgy anyway. " and he REPLIED again "Sorry for being polite" with no sign offs or anything, doesn't seem like a legit company to me if I'm honest
The staff are nice people. But since I never got picked for a single job for the whole year, this has not been a pleasant experience for me. I know that it states that the jobs are not guaranteed, but I was hoping this meant at least 1 or 2 opportunities. If you have a lot of spare money and is willing to take a gamble at this job, then by all means go ahead.
Hard to believe these crooks are still around. Back in 2005/6 they conned me $500 dollars for signup and photoshoot, when I was reluctant their tone changes very from friendly to pushy claiming I'll be making thousands from being an extra. Now I know real agencies take percentage of the work they find. RP sign up anyone from "all ages". They sent me photos literally years after I paid for them. Avoid and join a fee based agency.
Hello,
my question is: Will I be promoted for free by your agency? If I already own professional photos etc. Are there any hidden costs?
Thank you!
Excellent communication and teams. Nothing but positive things to say. Unsure why there seems to be so many negative reviews.
Keep up the great work team
I’ve just joined Real People & have been treated really nicely, I look forward to the opportunities that will arise from this!
I’ve been with the agency from the past 4 years now and it’s been great receiving opportunities to sell myself out there and meet new people for every shooting, but in my opinion they should open opportunities such as jobs for singers and performers I would suggest them do in the near future. I’m looking forward to doing more work with Real People
Untrustworthy and rude. They will take advantage of inexperienced creatives. Always do your own research before joining an agency!
All they want Is for you to sign up and pay $199. That’s it. They don’t care about you getting a shift. 1 or nothing a month. The fact is that they don’t need people and they don’t have any works for people. They just want you to sign the contract and pay the $200 because they’re getting commission from that money. Imagine if the commission is $100 from that $200 you have paid and if they sign 50 people a week. That means they will get $5k each week from people. That’s the whole purpose nothing else.
I joined about 12 years ago, not one single job and after reading other comments they paid nothing compared to what the price was back than $650 was mine to sign up, I wanted anything to come out of this, they even lost my original photos than got a photographer and a make up artist to come and do my photo shoot again, nothing out of this.its been 12 years and nothing very sad and disappointing! Waist of money entirely
