What a fantastically friendly place.
The staff are extremely welcoming and pleased to serve the atmosphere is relaxing with a great selection of food and drinks I will definitely be back again.

Many times I have driven past this pub and thought it looked inviting, and finally tonight I went there for a meal. The general vibe was lively and great, the bar staff were great, but the main reason I went there was for the food.it was sadly underwhelming. The Lobster and Chorizo Thermidor entree was served on bread, and it barely covered the two small slices of bread, but worse was the fact that the flavour was non-existent. It was bland, and there was no evidence of lobster in the flavour. This was followed by the Chicken, Corn and Chorizo house-made pie which came sitting on a bed of mash, with some runny gravy (presumably it was gravy) and peas poured over the top. I could best describe it as hearty, but again bland, with no real detectable flavour. Overall what started out as a great evening ended up with a deflated feeling. Since then I have found out that one other friend in our large group sent their meal back to the kitchen because it was so poor, and another basically left everything uneaten without sending it back.in other words, almost 20% of our group were very unhappy with the food.

Very laid back and happy to let us sit outside with the dogs for an hour. Very happy with this place!

Fantastic night out with Family, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, can't wait to drop in again.

Meals where just average, sounded great but not great tasting. Onion rings swimming in oil and kids pasta very bland. Fairly quick service but the place was not full. Nice atmosphere and decor was very nice, bar was busy.

Omg it is the best pub. The bartenders are amazing the atmosphere is electric fantastic place to go after work or out for a feed.

Great meal and a good warm fire. A perfect spot for a lunch and a couple of drinks.

Interesting place in Bendigo. Probably iconic. Good food. Nice decor lots of choice in drinks and not very expensive.

Another good experience here that started with a very warm greeting when we wandered in on a busy night. We were found a table quickly and service was friendly and prompt. Food was served in a timely manner and like the times before I could not fault it. I had an item off the specials board and my partner had the fisherman's basket. She had a bad experience here years ago but has now changed her mind. We will be back

Friendly staff, good menu to choose from. Average price for pub meals & good service. Risotto was quite salty.
