QDOS ARTS reviews
39We just popped in for a quick lo9k at their outdoor sculptures & art gallery. Great spot to stop off after a hike. Delicious lemon & blueberry cake & chai latte!
The warmest and friendliest place to go in Lorne. Jill and Graham have put in so much love into this art gallery, cafe and accommodation. My friend and I sat outside nestled in greenery having a delicious scone with jam and cream. We were taken to see the accomodation and decided that on our next visit will definitely stay here! The vibe is tranquil, fresh, being part of nature and the energy is full of love. A must visit just to hang out and relax in a forest setting.
Great location for a quiet weekend away and close enough to town to still get a good ice cream:)
It was great to see the art works, paintings, sculptures and to have a thoroughly enjoyable meal at QDOS ARTS. Everything made it a most memorable experience & we will be back very soon for the next show. It is well worth visiting at any time. Even the birds flying around were well watching like the Blue wrens, the yellow tailed black cockatoos & as well seeing a few koala in the trees. Thanks for the adventure. L.
QDOS. The one and only QDOS. The mighty, majestic, queen of the arts. After a long, tiresome trek through the bush, we finally stumbled upon the first sign of civilisation for kilometres: QDOS. Our journey to QDOS had been shrouded in mystery since the beginning. What exactly is QDOS? Before I knew its true nature, I genuinely thought it sounded like a programming language of some sorts. But now that I have seen it with my very eyes, I know the real QDOS: the people strung up to the poles; the sleek black cabins sitting innocently underneath the huge, teetering trees, ready to collapse at any moment; the cryptic white statue whose exact form could not be ascertained from afar. I have emerged from QDOS a changed man. If you too seek enlightment, then your wish is just a mere QDOS away.
Good food and a very unique place! Smell of the gum trees and koala sightings was even more of a highlight!
Beautiful setting, away from the hustle and bustle of Mountjoy Parade over summer, with quality food and friendly service. A hidden gem of Lorne.
Art and sculpture gallery, with coffee or meals available set amongst a treed location just out of Lorne. Great spot.
Small pleasant art Park. Not sure if I got the art, you would probably need a good bit of right brain comprehension to see it. But it was a nice interlude with excellent coffee.
I never visit Lorne without a walk or drive into the bushland just over the hill behind the town to QDOS. This would be one of the best little private galleries in Australia in a tranquil bush setting. There is an ever changing offering of top quality art on display and a great sculpture garden together with artists in residence and modern little rental units.
The attached Cafe is also top quality.
Popped in for breakfast. Lovely bacon, eggs, mushrooms and a conversation about chickens. Qdos was recommended to me and I'm paying it forward and recommending it to you
Good coffee, friendly staff and changing, interesting artworks to view.
Interesting - returned this year and the coffee was the most expensive in the town and in the smallest mugs and less palatable. Disappointing
A nice location but service very slow. Also when a group of people and I placed our orders, we received the wrong drink.
Great location & some very good pieces - coffee 4/10, but maybe Easter? Thanks for the morning Malc
This was an inspiring and relaxing getaway. Surrounded by the bush, birds and sculpture garden with the ever changing gallery and scrumptious cafe on your doorstep.
The staff are professional and welcoming. I highly recommend this Japanese influenced respite!
Beautiful grounds. Nice sculptures. Nice jazz in the summer. Good coffee ib the restaurant.
The art on display? As always - beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
Excellent cafe with art gallery and sculpture garden - attitude of owners has always needed a makeover otherwise 5 stars.
We got here by search online for a lunch at 1: 40pm, kitchen suppose to be close at 3 pm, they said kitchen close bit early.
Never go there
Customer service by old man is horrible, he dont feel sorry even once
QDOOS is much more than a commercial art gallery with a cafe restaurant. With a sculpture gallery set not only inside the building but works placed within the grounds that are in the Otways, it makes for a interesting place visit and take time to have a cuppa and something to eat. Wood fired pizza is a good lunch option. Sit inside or out. QDOS also has limited accommodation. Positioned just on the edge of Lorne on a well traveled dirt road on the way to Anendale picnic ground.
