Punjabi Thali Restaurant reviews
66Food was okay and service was very slow, not sure if it was because we went late in the night. However, this Indian restaurant remains open until 1AM.
I do not normally write bad reviews very soon but this thali restaurant is just goi g down day by day by the quality but up for prices. You should be delivering tasty food and generous serving when your prices are do high. First of all always take too long to prepare! Chaat papdi full of chillies, ordered chilli chicken the container had only around 6 pieces of chicken! I stopped ordering from these guys but my husband ask today to give another go and frankly speaking i will never ever be back. There is no worth of your hard earned money!
Great Experience. Thanks for the Biriyani and delicious Lassi. Definitely come back again.

Very rude Staff, Food was disgusting. At that time complained about their food, they answering very rudely. Very Disappointed. Never go back again.
Warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Nice setting for a casual gathering with family & friends. Delicious food at a reasonable price.
Amazing Indian restaurant in Springvale. Knew this place was here for a while but never ventured in. One of my biggest regrets for the last 8 years of living in the area! The restaurant is dimly lit, very clean and cosy. Filled with Indian families munching away at curries. Definitely felt like the odd one out here but didn't matter!
Amazing curries and naans. The curries had so much depth of flavour and were served steaming hot and fresh. The naans were fluffy and delicious.
Will be a new regular!
Yesterday we went there and ordered 3 goat biriyani and 3 mango lassi. No Biriyani taste at all and just spicy taste only. I think they use frozen goat curry to mix with biriyani. I am pretty sure this frozen curry is prepared in 3 months back. While we were eating through half way my son got a severe stomach ache and so we left the place immediately. This is the worst food we have ever had in Australia.
I ordered the samosa and paneer tikka and it was really good. Mango lassi was good but could be a little sweeter.
We ordered tikki chaat and we got tikki only coz we like their tikki chaat, especially with chickpeas and sauces, but when I called them the girl was polite and she was following the order of her senior teammate but who was behind the phone was too rude and unprofessional and on top of that he was arguing that tikki chaat is a bit expensive than tikki which I completely understand that but they don't have tikki chaat option in their menu and I have mentioned in the description about this thing as well usually does. Moreover, the guy was saying they should call us. The very first thing is that you guys never pick up the phone on time and another thing is that I called you guys twice but nobody answered. In Uber notes mean we can describe the order I think now Uber have to remove that section and add a call option coz anyways customers need to describe the phone too.
I will only say one thing their owner is too good and down to earth but the some of the staff member especially that boy these kinds of people are more than enough to ruin a business.
I respect International students but who have these kinds of attitude.omg. I respect that girl coz she was doing her job and following that man.
I went there with my hubby we ordered food that was amazing even the girl named as pallavi served us with love and great smile ty darls for this service
A decent Indian restaurant with moderate prices. I ordered Paneer Bhurji (Spicy scrambled Cottage cheese) with Butter Naan Bread. The Bhurji was nice and was more than enough for 1 person. The quantity was value for the price.
Goat biriyani is just a name on the menu. Didn’t even taste like a biriyani at all. Looked like a spiced rice soup. And still no flavors and just because we said spicy instead of mild all we could taste was hot chilly. That’s it. Definitely don’t know how to make biriyani. We were hungry and ordered a plain rice and mixed it with and ate the biriyanis.otherwise I would have sent them back to the kitchen. Not a good customer friendly environment or restaurant.
We ordered takeaway yesterday for a party. The owner was very helpful the day before with selection of the dishes and giving us tips about what will go well and what won’t. She also adjusted the curry pieces to suit the number of people. The food was packed well and the dishes were tasty. Very happy with the overall experience. Thank you.
I have been visiting to this restaurant for so many years due to good Indian food and taste. Only problem is in customer service. Girls don’t pay any attention to customer. Show attitude, seems very rude and unprofessional in customer service.
Very rude on phone no idea how to speak with customer.
I said I want to talk with manager
Girl told me i am Preet i am the manager
But manager has no idea how to solve my issue. Very high volume on phone.
I called to complaint about the food but so called manager is arguing with me
Waste of time
One of the best Indian restaurants in Melbourne. Great, fresh food, good customer service, karan style chicken (not in menu but ask). Omg best chicken I had.
Highly recommended to visit.
Nice Curries and naan. The portions were pretty good too. Good for both dining in and takeaways.
My partner and I had the goat curry and butter chicken for dinner Friday night and left us being food poisoned until this Sunday morning. We were shivering like crazy, temperature was high and vomiting non stop. We had to ask our parents to come take care of our kids as we couldn’t do anything. Not happy.
Ordered panner butter tikka masala, sabji taste was way below average, no spices in it and lot of cream on top of it which made the curry more tasteless.
