Great pub for a steak on a weeknight. Really friendly and professional staff, with a menu with depth and quality to keep you coming back. Got the steak special with the red wine jus, and it was fantastic. Great beer selection on the taps too. Definately a great pub in the area, if not the best

Don't be fooled by the exterior. I have passed over this pub 100 times.
Inside: Wow. Food, decor, light, warmth, servers, music all great.

It's a pretty high bar to say a place is perfect, but this hit the mark.
First up - the staff were excellent. Helpful without being intrusive. Able to answer questions and being close by when your beers were running low.
Food was brilliant too. Simply pub food but done really well. The parma was cooked perfectly.
Then the range of beers. Great choices from different breweries.
Can't fault them - and we'll certainly be back

Mind-blowing burgers. Great staff. Comfortable and relaxed vibe. Decent selection of craft beer on tap. Free trivia on Tuesdays. Pool table in good nick. You really can’t go wrong.

The burger I got was really tasty, but in particular the hot chips are really good. Lots of space and a cool looking place with friendly staff.

Best run pub in Port. Great takeaway meals which Covid made me aware of. Fantastic setting for a easy dinner on any night of the week

Popped in to wind down after a hectic day. The staff were personable without being intrusive.

I heard then greet arrivals with joy and warmth to make them feel welcome.

If you're in the area. Pop in and enjoy yourself.

Best pub, friendly service, delicious food and always an excellent selection of drinks. Dog friendly which is a bonus, definitely a favourite of ours!

I had the market fish last night and it was the best takeaway I have had in ages. Well done Prince Alfred on staying delicious, even in these difficult times. I'll be back next week!

Love this pub. A city pub with country hospitality. Always visit when we travel to the city. Tom and Anna make us feel like family when we visit and all the staff are so friendly and the meals are delicious.

Visited today for a beer after work. Wasn’t expecting to get a seat after the recent lockdown in Melbourne but was greeted with friendly, accommodating staff that were able to squeeze me in for a beer and quick bite. Comfortable atmosphere, attentive staff, great selection of beers. Will be back!

Cannot rate this pub highly enough.
Always great service by all staff.
Even through the toughest year we have had they still deliver amazing food, drinks and cocktails during lockdowns.
And best burgers hands down!

Great food and customer service! Lovely staff carried my son in his pram upstairs for me so I didn’t have to call someone to come down. Thankyou for being a pillar of the community

Disgusting place to visit with horrible service. I asked for a beer and they said "This beer could be free if you get the vaccine and come back". I walked out the door and will never visit again.

Your locals local, walking into this pub is like coming home to family! Friendly staff, smashing food & great drink options - the take-away margarita is dangerous

Just moved to the neighbourhood. Wanted to support local so walked to the Prince Alfred Hotel. Ended up walking away.

The place is packed. Every table full. No social distancing. One staff member not even wearing a mask, or maybe it was on the chin. People standing at the bar. Shouldn’t it be table service? It really made me uncomfortable.

Looks like some places are able to flout covid restrictions without consequence.

This place is hands down the best pub and best people who manage it. Always great food and service and friendly people. Get on board amd get down!

Awesome pub with an impressive selection of drinks and delicious meals regularly on offer. Always a great atmosphere and exceptional service with the staff extremely friendly and welcoming at all times.and I hear they do a lot for the community supporting local soccer teams.and are clearly well informed and knowledgeable with the notable policies and measures they have in place regarding Covid!

Five stars for a great pub who are offering a great incentive to get jabbed! Doing better than our government promoting the vaccine, that’s for sure!
