Clinical Pilates is a good fit for me as I will be strengthening the areas of my body that need it most.

I’ve been seeing Katrina Shaw, physio for almost a year now for a neck/shoulder related issues. She is amazing and knows exactly what to do each time and I walk away feeling so much better. Making appointments is super easy online and the team are always welcoming. Would 100% recommend Katrina to anyone experiencing discomfort!

Zoe is the best physiotherapist! I have seen her over many years for some different issues and she always makes things better. She is kind, caring and knows the body so well!

I’ve been a patient at this practice for more than 5 years, however I’ve had the most unpleasant, unprofessional and rude interactions with the reception and practice manager staff recently. I called in for a same day cancellation (for the first time ever in 5+ years) due to being in isolation while waiting for PCR result, to be advised that there is a 24 hour cancellation policy with a fee and to keep that in mind next time. I had to explain to the very insensitive receptionist who had zero empathy or understanding of not just my situation, but the fact that the world has been going through a pandemic for 3 years, that I woke up with symptoms which worsened throughout the day, hence going for a PCR test. His response to me was: “yes but we have a 24 hour cancellation fee and I’m letting you know to keep that in mind for next time”. I told him that I’ll make sure to predict being sick next time so that I can give them at least 24 hours of notice. I chose to let this interaction go, giving the receptionist the benefit of the doubt because we are all human and have bad days, hoping it was a one off. The following week I was on my way to an appointment and gave the practice a courtesy call to let them know I’m stuck in traffic and that I may be up to 10 minutes late. The receptionist (different to the person mentioned above) advised me that my myotherapist has another patient straight after me and that he would not be able to complete a 30 minute appointment if I were to arrive late (even though there has been instances in the past where I’ve had to wait for up to 15 minutes as he has been running late with other patients). I then asked if it was better to reschedule, or if I would only be charged for the length of the actual treatment. The receptionist’s response to me was: “I’m sorry but we have a 24 hour cancellation policy and I can see that there’s already a warning on your file from last week” and when I questioned this warning she terminated the call. I then arrived at my appointment and went through my shortened appointment in tears as I was extremely upset and hurt by the way I was spoken to and asked for the practice manager to call me the next day. Not only did the practice manager not call me the next day, but spoke to me in an even more disrespectful and defensive manner stating that so many people are using covid as an excuse and cancel appointments last minute! I then asked her to have the practice director contact me, she said she’d already spoken to him about this and then half way through the conversation she started saying that she can’t hear me and terminated the call and never called me back! I have not had any further follow ups from the management team since and have been left mistreated, disrespected and hurt by a so called successful business! Customer service should be an area of focus for this practice and I will ensure to follow this up further and leave reviews on multiple platforms, so that others are aware of the mistreatment and disrespect they may experience at Fitzroy North, especially if god forbid they become unwell and unable to attend their appointments.

Zoe gave me great hands on treatment, home exercises and education on my back issues. She was very encouraging.

Katrina Shaw is an excellent physiotherapist who has helped me recover from my back injury. Can't recommend highly enough. Good mix of diagnostic and treatment with varied techniques.

Katrina Shaw is an EXCELLENT physio - I've received tons of great advice for managing my condition and seen so much improvement in my pain in only a few short months! Wonderful clinic, highly recommend for anyone looking for a good physiotherapist in the Fitzroy area!
