Yum housemate chai, delicious carrot cake. The decking is a great area to bring your dogs and it's always a relaxed vibe at the venue. Not to mention the great service.

Food generally very good. Incredibly over priced! Had a few bad occasions with staff, mainly due to their unprofessional attitude. Today was the final straw. Not going to get into the fine details. Just keep in mind that if you are visiting Power Plant, the service will not be up to the standard you expect when paying $70+ for breakfast (for 2).

My wife wanted to invite us to this place for coffee and dessert, she's vegan and thought it would be great. In addition to the coffee which was okay, we shared a piece of banana bread and a piece of carrot cake, both were disappointing as they were dry and didn't taste fresh at all.

The place was also cold, we couldn't wait to finish our drinks and leave. The service was ok.

She also had in mind to invite us for lunch some other time, but after this visit, we're most probably not returning.

Sorry about my review, but I had to be honest and share my experience.

This vegan restaurant is a delight for the senses! They manage to delicately put flavour and taste in all their dishes! From breakfast to dinner to snacks the food is infused with unique flavours and unique scents!

We had the green burger, loaded fries, choc sundae waffles and heaps of Mocha and lattes and capucchino's!

I give them 5 stars and recommend the visit!

The people who served me and my 11 family members were amazing! Their ability to cater for special needs for family and children is great!

Amazing food. Delicious and presented so beautifully with good size portions. Friendly service. Parking can be a challenge but sometimes you just have to look a bit further away and I always find something. Ended up buying some cakes to take away afterwards. My family loved them. A bit pricey but worth it.

Tried Power Plant for the first time and it was incredible! The greens bowl was exceptional, so tasty and the perfect size, the hashbrowns were some of the best I've had and the coffee was perfection. We also took home some of their GF lemon tarts and pear and chocolate tarts which tasted like they came from the most expensive patisserie. Will definitely be back soon!

We were asked to take a seat and then waited and waited whist we watched people walk in behind us and order take away. We where between jobs and didn’t have much time for lunch, but when we decided to order takeaway and complained about the lack of service, the woman making the coffees had an attitude and rudely told us it was a café. So we walked out and went elsewhere.
No apology, no attempt to rectify the situation, just rude attitude. She needs more training.

Loved the food, great taste with combined flavours, eat with confidence and enjoy the awesome service and good open plan seating area with plenty of light and outdoor options.

So wonderful to have a vegan café in this area. But the new menu is a huge disappointment and means I won't bother going back to this place where I used to go every few weeks. Their lunch menu has four options. Four. And they include a burger, poke bowl, loaded fries, and mac 'n cheese. Not very inspiring. They also have an all day breakfast with six options, but many of these things are pretty basic (toast, bircher, avo smash, waffles, scrambled tofu and a brekkie bowl). My point is that there are so many restaurants offering vegan options these days, that there is really no need to travel any distance to this one. For a dedicated vegan place, you would hope they would serve something different than the standard vegan options in regular cafes. They used to, which is what makes this super disappointing.

Maybe they are trying to save money or assume that just because they are vegan, people will come. But I get more vegan variety and certainly more delicious food by visiting a range of regular restaurants and choosing from their ever expanding vegan menu.

I will say however, that their drinks and sweets are outstanding, so if you are just heading out for these, then this is a great café to go to.

Yet another great find tucked in the suburb of Templestowe. Really good food with all plant based brunch options. Fulfilling, healthy and didn't even miss the eggs or bacon.

Lovely staff, good menu, large and spacious. We had the powerplant bowl and the vegan burger. Both were great. Varied selection of drinks. Highly recommend.

Delicious vegetarian food. In fact it is such a shame it is not open in the evenings. We shared the green bowl, the breakfast bowl, a green burger and a bowl of the smokey hand cut fries. It was all delicious, tasty and nutritious.

Wow. One of the best brunches I've had in ages. Everything was flavourful and delicious, well balanced and thoughtfully crafted. The berry and beetroot lemonade was so refreshing. The carrots were to die for. Friendly service, lovely outdoor seating area. My only complaint is they're only open for lunch and shut at 3pm, would love to see what they'd create for dinner.

Our spontaneous trip to Power Plant after googling 'vegan cafe' one Saturday morning was a great result! We each had a delicious breakfast - the scrambled tofu and the breaky bowl - and enjoyed the coffee (my partner is a barista, so his stamp of approval is hard to come by, and he had 2). The cafe was featured as number 1 vegan cafe in Melbourne on the website Broadsheet - that says a lot.

Tried to eat here a few times. The drinks are good, but we have waited up to a hour for food and the last time they forgot our order all together.
