Wow, what a great mix of historic style and modern amenities. Great host that went out of his way to make us feel welcome!
Old fashioned guest house right in the heart of Point Lonsdale. Needs updating but I'm sure the new owners will do that. Swimming pool, tennis court, bbq and fully equipped guest kitchen.
Friendly, clean, great location & facilities and comfortable beds. The Guest House is wonderful place for a weekend away. As you can cook your own meal, save on tennis hire, walk to all the sites, it means you can splurg in a nice wine or some ice-cream. Who cares if the decor is a bit dated when you’re too busy enjoying all the other facilities. Highly recommend and will be back.
Apart from it's great location near the lighthouse, beach and shopping strip, the guesthouse is tired and in my opinion in need of major renovation.
We stayed in the Lady Bollinger room in room 20.
There were large cracks on the walls and the paint was peeling off of the them.
The room had an old musky odour to it and the walls were paper thin which meant noise from the road, guests moving around the balcony and adjacent rooms penetrated into our room.
Furnishing in the room was spartan, old and uncomfortable.
On the plus side, the staff were friendly and helpful.
If your after just a room for the night then this may suit your needs but despite the signage out the front, it's not a 4 star venue it's current condition.
Location is beautiful. Hotel is dated, toilet/bathroom is not ventilated, room smelled like old men's sweat. Complimentary breakfast and price makes this an ok one night stayer.
Had a great weekend at the Point Lonsdale Guesthouse with our friends. Perfect setting & location & our host Richard was amazing. He dropped us off at the Blues Train & picked us up when the night was over. He gave us all the info on the area which made our stay amazing. Again thank you Richard the perfect host!
