Point Lonsdale Guest House

My family and I have been staying here for many years and have never had any issues. Point Lonsdale Guesthouse offers a communal kitchen with fridge and freezer storage available, as well as all the cooking facilities, kitchenware and BBQ. They also offer an in-ground pool and a tennis court which our children love using.

This is the perfect place to stay for families, even larger groups. We love it. Have stayed 3 times. Will be back:)

Quirky old-world guesthouse in a brilliant location. Spotlessly clean and very user-friendly.

Great little location! Rooms are great in the guest house area. Clean and tidy. Parking is handy out the back. Close to local cafes etc. If you’re nearby make sure you check out Pico, a local little coffee shop.

The scenery near the location is first-class, and the hotel room is very clean, but there is no central heating, and the bedside heater is used for heating. The simple buffet breakfast is also very convenient, and there is free parking.

An absolute hidden gem. Perfect location with a relaxed vibe, cosy rooms and fantastic facilities.

The kids and I just love staying at Point Londsdale Guest house, coming back every year at Christmas time. The location to the beach and the kids 'playground and main street is brilliant, but bar far how lovely Richard the manager and his staff are including the pool and tennis court are our favourite parts of each stay.

The friendliest hotel/motel you’ll ever find. Perfectly situated for all the beaches and cafes within walking distance, yet out of the bustle. Beautifully set up with pool communal kitchen BBQ fire pit tennis court. Extremely comfy and very clean. A little tired inside but overall love it - our second stay and we will be back! A hidden gem.

We really enjoyed our stay at this guest house, very clean and well equipped rooms. The guest kitchen area is amazing, equipped with everything you could possibly need to make your own meals. We had a most delicious meal in the restaurant. Great location for walks, cafes and bars and a supermarket very close. We would definitely stay there again.

This joint is welcoming and old world charm at its best. The location is A1.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay. The mingling with guests over complimentory cheese and wine was really nice, dinner at Flouch's was great and we really appreciated the late check out. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed for a 4 night break at the Point Lonsdale Guesthouse and we were not disappointed. We used the extremely well appointed kitchen daily to self cater to keep the cost down and, with the exception of one take-away, had all our meals at the guesthouse kitchen which is well served with a very large commercial fridge and large freezer, 2 toasters, 2 microwaves, a small pizza oven, a sandwich toaster and a domestic oven with 4 electric cooktops. And would you believe pod coffee, instant coffee, tea bags, sugar and milk is provided free and a daily Age Newspaper in the kitchen to read over your meal. Both of our stays have been through the Vacation Auctions website but in future we will book directly as the rates are so reasonable. In summary, we hope to return many times in the future as the guesthouse is so well appointed to make our stay comfortable in accommodation with character at a very reasonable cost and with a warm and friendly manager in Richard. Whilst it is no 5 star hotel, for the above reasons I have no hesitation in giving the Point Lonsdale Guest House a 5 star rating.

Great location, loved my room-simple and practical with good sized bathroom, had breakfast on the little outdoor balcony. Also available shared large garden space, a game of tennis outdoors or table tennis indoors, a splash in the pool for warmer months. A good sized shared equipped kitchen space also available. Very much enjoyed our 5* dining experience in the on- site restaurant! Yummy! Appreciated my late check out.a great 2 night stay!

it's maybe a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and the tennis court and pool are really fun

Up the narrow staircase to The Lady Bollinger Room, it’s large windows, wooden ceiling and view of the lighthouse lends an old-world charm to the experience. However, were it not for the premium location, the basic furniture and small bathroom would not be so easy to overlook. With very little road noise we enjoyed the sound of the waves lapping the beach, although in such an old building the movement of other guests does permeate though the walls. The guest house has well-appointed common areas and for those whose wish to self-cater, the barbeque and kitchen facilities are excellent. Overall, the Point Lonsdale Guest House met our needs during our three-night stay, although I still don’t share the owner/manager’s view that patience will fix a faulty bar fridge.

Really good value accommodation in point Lonsdale. Clean and comfortable rooms with extra towels and laundry included making it really convenient when staying with family. Even a relatively well equipped kitchen should you choose to buy some prepared meals from supermarket if you want to save some money on the eating out. Might not be the most luxurious motel but overall really enjoyed the stay.
