Playhouse reviews
36 Great little intimate theatre. Comfy seating and good sound combine to make this theatrical experience very pleasant.
Saw Slava's Snowshow at Playhouse and it was an amazing surprise! Loved the magical snowstorm and interactive webbing, bubbles and balls. A magical arty evening!
PlayHouse is good, staff friendly & helpful. Pity that there is no mobile coverage in the building not even in the street level foyer, maybe not a bad idea within Theatres but very irradiating when your trying to locate your friends in the foyer before, after or at interval.
Still the same. Bar service still aweful. You'd think they'd figure out a more efficient way of serving folk
Very nice theatre. Sits are comfortable with big legroom. Also theatre has excellent acoustics.
A nice, not too big theatre with ample leg room for tall people. And the show we saw was amazing!
Great show (The Picture of Dorian Gray). Great venue with comfortable seats and good legroom.
An asset to Melbourne but after comedy festival event finished why weren't both escalators switched to up as I have previously experienced?
Love this beautiful theatre. Went to see comedians Denise Scott and Judith Lucy there for the comedy festival.
Staff amazing and patrons are spread out for covid reasons.
Show was great, lots of laughs.
Steven we love you
. The primary teacher who didn't get to talk.and I am a teacher of the deaf.
Watched Judith Lucy and Denise Scott. Definately worth seeing, great show. Everything a Victorian was thinking over the last couple of years is covered in the most hilarious way. Great show!
So enjoyed seeing Judith Lucy and Dennis Scott at the Playhouse. Staff were extremely accommodating
The Playhouse is always a bit dark. With the lighting. I should have booked downstairs. Where there were no stairs. To negotiate. Lucy Gemmill
Went to see Will Anderson there as part of the comedy festival.he was brilliant and venue was fantastic
Lovely theatre for the fit and able, but way too many steep steps for those with knee or hip problems. Nice size though, stalls had good views of the stage.
Great place to watch shows. Comfortable seats, a little tight if seated next to a larger person.
A great place for a nap.just make sure you don't fall asleep under the stage and get locked in for the long weekend! It was quite a traumatic experience, the only sustainance available to me was the existential surface tension left by the mirriad of thespians who had graced the boards of that old theatre. I swear some tasted of Barry Humphries. The only good to come of the weekend (apart from the weight loss) was the chance for me to finally try out my survival skills in real life.who would of thought drinking my own urine for 3 days would be enough to disparage dehydration and clear up my acne.in fact I think I shall write a play about the whole affair!
Took my nephew to see the 91 Storey Treehouse play. He loved jumping down the stairs! Very family friendly venue, staff were great too.
Love the seating so that you are not behind someone else's head. Acoustics good. Great idea to have performances like Spot the dog and the ballet performance last year for children.a great introduction to the Arts. But why do these performances for children never start on time?
Searing at ground level allows easy viewing of performers on stage. Comfortable seats and very helpful staff
