Beautiful restaurant right near the nice suburb of Wendouree with amazing landscapes and awesome views of the lake with vegan options too if I remember correctly 10 out of 10

We really enjoyed our lunch here. Large serves. Two mains was perfect for two adults and two young boys

Nice soup and good coffee. Pleasant venue, but disorganized when it came to pay. Staff were pleasant but took 10 minutes and 3 staff to resolve the bill.
Worth visiting if you don't mind split bill confusions.

Service quite good let down by substandard food. My eggs Benedict were cool and over seasoned and my friends both had cold pancakes.

Took too long to be served at the takeaway part. When it was our turn to be served the girl turned and walked away never to return! Also the prices are a bit steep.

Just had alovely breakfast here.overlooks Lake Wendouree and is situated in the Botanical gardens which is certainly worth a stroll in.

Poor service and more expensive 'powder' chai than some cafes that provide a genuine brewed product.

A good restaurant at the waterfront of the lake with a good service. Prices are on the higher side though.

Nice place put an order in brought out wrong thing when the waitress returned with what i originally ordered it was just sort of thrown in front of me spilling some of my drink last time i will be going there

Beautiful location and great building. Very popular but when they are busy, service can be a little delayed.

Great views and great food. Service is basically non existent. Probably wouldn't go back unfortunately. I like friendly and efficient service

GOOD LOCATION AND NICE SETTING
Pipers is in a large rotunda by the lake. If dining in you need to select a table first and then order. Food is reasonable quality but a little pricey however the serves are large so you could order one slice of cake (see picture) and its would easily be enough for two! Indoor and outdoor tables - make sure you sit outdoors in the fine weather! Free water at a self service stand. Can be a bit of a wait queueing up to order.

Nice place by the lake. Price ok, food quality wise, good. Service was slow, waitress a bit clueless. Unclean tables and waitress would walk right pass. People had to ask for table to be cleaned. Came on a Monday. Room for improvement for floor staff.

The take away soup was Devine. Eat it under one of the old trees near by and enjoy time spent outdoors.

Pipers by the Lake is convenient to Lake Wendouree. When were there on a Sunday it was very noisey. Probably not surprising at Christmas with several large groups. Food was average, but the staff were attentive and helpful.

Great food, great coffee, but NEVER ENOUGH STAFF. On three separate occasions we have waited 45 mins for coffees alone. I've been with people who ordered main meals while I ordered coffee and the mains arrived 30 mins before the coffees did. Their popularity can't be a new, surprising thing to them; so why then are they always understaffed?

It was lovely. The food was nice, the staff pleasant. Sitting out the back in the shade overlooking the lake was most enjoyable and relaxing.

Coffee wasn't that great needed to be stirred customer service could use some work and outside areas need to be cleaned, under umbrella sort of things had cobwebs and all kinds of grot on them tables had dirty dishes all over the place, the view was the best part of the experience

Absolutely delicious food I tried the butter chicken and although a little salty and very spicy it was delicious with the cob loaf also. The sidewinder fires are awesome and I would highly recommend the beef burger with the istra bacon. Istra bacon is source from daylesford and is my fav bacon of anywhere. The kids meal actually got eaten by my 3 year old so it caters for everyone. A little pricey but a good meal.

The best scones in Ballarat. Huge with lashings of cream and jam, can't beat it! The staff are always friendly and the view is the best in Ballarat right on the lake and smack bang in the middle of the botanic gardens.
