Pioneer Settlement

A must visit place for all, and if you have kids between 3 - 18yrs I recon it is mandatory. We have spent almost one full day looking around lot of great historical buildings and fantastic memories. The place is well maintained. I felt I missed the great old days where there was lot of love in people. The staff is very friendly too. I will go there again.

This was one of the best displays of machinery and Old Time memorabilia I have seen in fact it was the best recommend it 2 day pass great

Nice place to walk around, interesting exhibits. Would have been nice to have a sit down meal with a wine or beer. Grumpy wait staff on our visit, didn't appear to like us using too much sugar in our coffee (3 sachets).

Went here with the family was a really relaxing day just walking around the village then a cruise down the river and to top it all off was the magnificent sound and laser show if you are in swan hill this is a must see

We visited here in off-peak had a leisurely walk around the settlement and a wonderful cruise on the PS Pyap. Just a few paint touch ups and renewal of some of the notices wouldn't hurt. But overall wonderful Australian living history, great place fantastically friendly staff and volunteers. Definitely a must for all families best way to teach Australian history. Would be outstanding in holiday times. Well done to all who make this a great experience, thank you

The light show was fantastic great story and great effects. It was also great to go through the pioneer settlement and the staff there were very culturally informative and polite and it was good to show the grandchildren how life was in the early days

If you do one thing in swan hill make it attending this show. Simply stunning, full of fascinating facts and the story was brought to life by the most modern of lasers, lights, fog and water. I have seen a similar show in Singapore but this one was way better. Handing out blankets was a good touch, even though we had rugged up in preparation. It was also fun to see the settlement at night. It was also good to see that the show was enjoyed by young and old alike, an interesting audience mix of young family and grey nomads. Tip - the closest place for dinner is right next door at Spoons, you can park at the art gallery and walk around for the show.

Absolutely fantastic, didn't know what to expect and was blown away with what I saw. I is something everyone should do when in Swan Hill.
