Without doubt this is the best internet in Melbourne.

For gaming it is unbeatable. Fast consistent speeds and 1ms ping! I was previously getting 20ms+.

I'd definitely recommend signing up if it's available in your building.

So glad I made the switch. Our apartment building was FTTB only so highest speeds we got were VDSL with NBN. DGTek had FTTP for us and now enjoying fibre speeds for very impressive pricing.

It’s very important to select a reliable internet service provider (ISP), and we are glad that we have Pineapple Net as our ISP.

- The cost of the Pineapple’s service is quite reasonable. Our contract is straight, and the Pineapple has provided guaranteed service based on the contract such as response/repair time, that has made the Pineapple Net standing out among the numerous ISPs.

- We have a good internet connection, that keeps up with our online activity. So far there haven’t any internet connectivity issues caused by the Pineapple’s service.

- The technical support at the Pineapple is great. In the event of a problem, it’s easy to report the issue, and the technicians have tried very hard to resolve the problem. They really care for their customers.

Excellent speeds and no issues at all so far. Would definitely recommend!

Make sure you're getting their fibre internet service, apparently there are problems with the old fixed wireless buildings

Customer service for existing customers is extremely lousy. A reminder that your plan is expiring 21 days beforehand when they expect 30 days notice. How unethical and dodgy. Avoid.

I look forward to it being explained away in reply to this review.

Connection drops every 5 or 6 days but today was out for 2 hours. Evening speeds drop to about 30 Mb/s. Just got two weeks notification that they're disconnecting my building. Not enough time to organise another provider.

Pineapple bought out the internet company we were with. Got in touch with them as we were having drop-outs and slow speeds.
Overseas tech support made it hard to understand them and them us. Turns out they couldn't supply us with the speeds of the package we were on, so there is that problem. On the same call, they asked us to reconfigure our modem (provided by the internet company they bought out) so it was tuned into some maintenance they had done. The second we did it, we lost internet. After 2 days on the phone going round and round, they said they were going to send a tech out (free callout), which would cost $140 per 30-minutes of work they needed to do and we would have to pay them $200 for a new router if needed. I work from home and time is money. I'd already lost 2 days and far too much time and money to their faffing around. So we've cancelled.

I’ve been a customer of Pineapple (formerly Spirit) for many years and they provide an excellent service. Their prices are great, their internet is reliable, and the customer service is fantastic.

Haven't been with Pineapple for very long, but so far very happy with my experience. The connection is very fast, the price very reasonable, and they're easy to communicate with.

Edit: The below response is untrue. I don’t believe they ever offered a discount - only an increase if I exercised my rights as a consumer. The response below also appears to be the same person as every escalation channel and not the owner

Poor customer service. Only one person manning escalation for all channels / emails (including complaints, so you complain to the person you’re complaining about).

Do not adhere to their policies and have what I believe to be hidden and contrary charges (to those presented at the time of offer) in their lengthy terms and conditions document.

They even threatened to charge me extra if I escalated the complaint to the ombudsman.

Would recommend avoiding at all costs. They also have speeds that do not match those as advertised and do not action complaints regarding it.

We have been with Pineapple Net for sometime now and have nothing but positive feedback for this company. I have had issues with relocating our network and have found them to be professional, helpful and efficient. We recommend them for your ISP.

Great company! Very fast internet and very good technical help when you've got a problem. I had one in three years. And it had nothing to do either with their network or the connection. More with how info travels through virtual space. Solved very quickly. The technician actually called me to check if everything was fine. That was a pleasant surprise!

PineppleNet has been okay - We haven't been getting the MBp/s that were initially quoted however it seems to run relatively smoothly with generally no hiccups - We did request for someone to come out and take a look at it due to it being half of what was quoted in terms of throughput however they said that if they came out and deemed the problem to be not the fault of them, we could have to pay a call-out and router replacement fee.

Thoroughly satisfied with Pineapple Net internet service.
I am on the lowest speed option (50Mbps down & up!)
Find this quite adequate for my requirements. Also more cost effective than other options.
Happy to recommend.

Not the worst to deal with for technical support by far, they answer calls promptly which is really great, but it’s hit and miss. I have had some aggressive tone with unclear instructions though. In another support enquiry for an auto payment I had set up to save time (and backup card placed) ironically also required more effort than I’d hoped to resolve.

Completely unreliable as I’ve been without internet for 2 days now. It’s impossible to get through to customer support despite calling and waiting several times. Don’t go with this service if you have to work from home.

I have been using Pineapple internet for the past 29 months. The price is very competitive (I'm on 150/150) and the actual speed matches the plan speed. This made a big difference with working from home during the pandemic. The uptime is the best I have had with any ISP. I highly recommend Pineapple

Have been Pineapple Net for 2+ years @ 1000MB up/down package. There has been no issues with speed and service and internet has been up and running for 99.99% of the time. Definielt better and more cost effective than NBN.
