Piedimonte's Supermarket & Liquor

Prices are high. Staff are unfriendly. But it's usually well stocked and usually pretty quiet. It's also the only place around to get some brands you won't find in the big supermarkets.

Good Italian products. The bread, meats and cheeses are much better than anything Woolworths or Coles has to offer. I prefer this store to the cramped access North Fitzroy store.

Very expensive for a supermarket. Does not have much meat or chicken, has small parcels of the above. Dont like it. People are friendly. But too expensive.

OK I've had to change this review. Something has gone on here. New owners? Where are my old Italian ladies in the deli? Go and watch how this is going downhill right before your eyes.

Good to see they have cleaned up the store. Pity the service is inconsistent. One minute customers are ignored then faced with surly checkout operators, next time nice as pie.
Top tip: always check use by dates

I have been shopping here almost daily for over a year and spending an average of about $50 each time.
And yet this doesn't stop the old, rude security guard from blatantly following me around the shop like I'm some criminal. I've never shop lifted or even considered it. I'm a local, a tax payer and a supporter of small local business and still have to endure this embarrassing treatment each and every time i shop there.

Just shop at the Coles up the road, much wider variety, much cheaper prices and, best of all, the staff don't treat their customers like criminals.

This is a great supermarket, this IGA is small but sells a lot!
The deli has all the Italian salamis you can think of.
It's an Italian themed IGA.
Service is great and they sell tattslotto also!

Stepping into this place is like stepping into a third world country. Absolutely disgusting customer service.

Excellent service and quality of food. We found some items that we can't find in the larger supermarkets.

Nice shop, good selection of Italian foods/Cheese/Breads, fresh fruit and veg could be much better. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

Good deli. Plenty of fresh fruit and veg for a little place. Often have baked goods love the danish at cheal prices. Tatts outlet and bottleshop as well.

I always end up buying something really interesting when I stop by. I can never find them anywhere else.

The security guy was really rude. He asked me to keep my bag at the front desk (accepted). Rules and regulations should be same for everyone that enters the store. The 2 ladies who entered after me weren’t asked to keep the bags. I asked him, ‘ why did you not ask them to put their bags in there? ’ He replied ‘ they have smaller bags and I am doing my job’. Well, one doesn’t need big bags to shoplift. It’s pathetic behaviour towards certain customers.
Pathetic experience.

Cheese, Deli meats and Italian Bread. Bottle shop onsite. Grab a scratchy and some flowers for nanna while you're there.

I'm a fan; vegie is fresh, no shortage of good meat and great cuts. While there isn't a huge variety to chose from on the shelves, this is compensated for in their extensive deli section. Staff are friendly and offer great service.

I also want to acknowledge the Dutch produce they offer.

Nice small supermarket with everything you might need. Food, grog, meat, fresh fruit & veggies, etc. Plus, ample parking!

Mini supermarket, great deli, the rest of the supermarket prices are a little expensive except for the IGA specials.

I have to say it's hard for them to mach price, s with the bigger supermarkets, apart from that staff do what ever you want. Michael Rourke

Much nicer than the usual coles or woolies options. Less range of products but much better quality.
