Pidapipó Gelateria CBD reviews
69This is a fantastic gelateria with a large range of delicious flavours. Fun atmosphere if it isn't totally packed but, it's fine to grab some and eat in the street. There's often a line out the door but it's worth the wait.
Today, my partner bought a 500 ml ice cream. The staff member was dismissive and her attitude towards my GF was quite rude. Her lack of skills in customer service was really disappointing. On top of that, we ordered half Nutella half Pinacolada, she ended up giving us just a little bit of Nutella. As regular customers we really feel very disappointed with the service we received today. There is room for improvement here!
Awesome Gelato, can’t go past the traditional hazelnut. If your in the area definitely worth a drop in.
Gelato was good, customer service was good but the staff constantly speaking Italian to each other in such a small place was quite rude
Favourite place in Melbourne to get ice cream! I originally went to the one in Carlton and then found out there was one near flinders street which is really convenient for me! Such amazing selection and amazing staff. I’ll come here every time I come to Melbourne!
Wow. Salted caramel and Pina colada flavours were absolutely stunning! One of the best gelatos I’ve had in ages! Really worth a visit.
I cannot fault the ice cream but the customer service is horrible depending who you get. I would like to believe that a little bit of training would go a long way, and that the staff in question are not racist but I'm not too sure. I was being served just now and witnessed the other staff (shorter female) dismiss someone for asking if the ice cream was halal and continued to berate them to the other staff, making fun of the question and the word halal, which by the way is a valid dietary question. The taller female staff seemed nicer and didn't seem to entertain what the other staff was doing. The incident took place on the evening of Monday 10 February at 6.20PM.
On another occasion, I politely offered to pay $1 extra for the nutella topping in the nutella swirl milkshake I ordered (having bought this exact item previously on several occasions). The staff insisted that she was not able to do so because it was a milkshake (it was right at the end of the process once the milkshake would have already been made and there was nothing stopping her from carrying out the request). I said this is the first time I'm hearing this to which she responded that I should come back another time then. It felt like a power play/discriminatory on the part of the staff. This was about 1 year ago on a tuesday evening.
Citing the times so that you may be able to address the staff who act like this. Also having read the reviews, I'm not the only one with horrible customer service experiences. Having looked through the reviews as well, I'm noting that the majority of people with bad customer service experiences were people of colour as well.
What a wonderful experience! Beautiful gelato with plenty of variety. The experience was made by the wonderful ladies making and serving - so friendly and welcoming.
I had an amazing cinnamon pistachio and nutella swirl ice cream in waffle cone. Officially best ice cream in Melbourne CBD
Creamy flavors that are good but not exceptional. Rude service from girl in mask who did not seem like she wanted to have to serve customers.
Best Gelato and ice cream in the city! Right opposite Flinders st Station it is a great place to grab dessert. Friendly international staff that allow for tasting samples with great prices. Always a line though but thankfully never too much of a wait. Worth the stop as it is also a great place for a date.
Love this place! I am so happy they have made a little hole in the wall work in degraves so you don’t have to head to Lygon. It seems that they don’t have as many flavors but I think that’s just an illusion. Still fantastic choices and fantastic gelato! Tremendously wonderful!
Amazing ice cream, my kids are addicted to this place after only one visit. Both the sorbets and gelato are delicious. Definatley worth a visit or two.
Let me start by saying there customer service is AMAZING! Shout out to Sabrina.she's really nice, pretty and kind! There ice cream is even better, there location is great and really Instagram worthy in my opinion.
Will recommend to anyone. Will 100% go there again!
A small nook and cranny operation with some of the best ice cream in Melbourne. The ice cream is lighter than a certain other ice cream nearby. It doesn't have the widest range of flavours with only about 8-10 of what one might consider the normal flavours, but there are another 4 to 5 very inventive mixes - try the salted caramel with orange blossom butterscotch with crumb - something you wont find anywhere else. The shop is small and the ergonomics of service and entry/exit are poor - don't let that stop you.
Extremely popular after dinner. Expect to wait 5-10 mins in a queue out the door. Not your usual Gelato flavours, with so many to choose from.
Absolutely amazing, what incredible ice-cream just divine and a great stop before one catches a train. #gelato
Always a queue! But you wouldn't wait long, good flavoured icecreams but customer service could better.
Popular spot for some yummy gelato. I tried pistachio and Nutella swirl flavors (which came with hot Nutella filling, yum!). It is definitely worth a visit if you are in Melbourne
My favourite place for gelato. Super creamy and tasty. Their pistachio gelato is full of pistachio flavour and so yum. You can get a cone, cup or buy a tub to take away. I love the set up and the staff are really friendly. It can get really busy on hot days so there can be a line, but definitely worth the wait. Highly recommend it!
