One of the best gelaterias in Melbourne. Silky smooth (unless it's supposed to have bits in it, of course eg stracciatella) and so tasty!
Should start accepting cash. Many don't have credit cards. Many don't like to use cards even. Even now the difficult time is over too. Do consider Request.
Been a couple of times and my daughter loves the the chocolate ice cream. But sadly last weekend 24/10/21 we went and ordered chocolate as normal and my daughter has a peanut allergy and straight away she had a allergic reaction to the chocolate ice cream, meaning it either had traces of peanut or the spoon was used in another ice cream that contained peanut. Either way we will be back, as the ice cream is nice. We'll just confirm before we buy
Nice ice-cream, I enjoy the fact that it is not as sweet as most ice-cream joints. It has a smooth texture, unique in my opinion. Highly recommend.
The gelato is damn delicious but was disappointed with our visit to the Hawthorn store at 8pm yesterday. Paid $6.8 for 2 scoops and received less than 1 scoop's worth. Didn't realise until I saw others' double scoopers tower over mine.
The pic with two spoons is "2 scoops" VS.the pic with one spoon is the 1 scoop I got at the CBD store earlier this year. Cups are the same size.
There's inconsistency/staff carelessness then there's being plain old ripped off.
Desserts are amazing, although your staff don’t even know what they serving when asked about something particular. Bit poor on how to communicate with customers. Which really need to be fixed.

My go to spot for gelato. Friendly staff and awesome flavours. You can't go wrong when choosing to eat your gelato at Piccolina. Grab a tub to take home while you are there also.
The. Best. Ice Cream. Ever! I didn't know gelato could be so smooth and creamy. Strongly recommend this place for all your ice cream needs. Yum yum yum.
We drove there especially and had 3 flavours: Hazelnut, Pistachio, and “Better than Nutella”. All very bland in taste and NOT better than Nutella! Very disappointing.

Went here last night around 7: 30pm for a dessert after dinner and bought a few ice-creams between a group of us (5 people) and sat around and chatted for an hour max while having our ice creams. When being served the ice cream the guy was quite hospitable and nice, however after sitting there awhile one of the workers comes over to our group and quite aggressively says that people wanted to sit there and we had been there for hours and only ordered one ice cream. Neither of these things were the case and she was quite rude given that we were customers and she could have just asked us to move on. After leaving, we walk past there again about 10 minutes later and all the seats were free which was interesting. Overall gelato was good and high quality. The service was a let down and its not somewhere I would go to again based on the service provided.
