Not going here anymore. What used to be a friendly, welcoming and delicious place to eat in Torquay has now been ruined by the Pakington St business. I've been 4 times to the Pako one, and no longer will I give it the benefit of the doubt. Service is always shocking and the pho just lacks in so much flavour now. On our recent visit, we basically received no service. We were waiting for so long for our drinks to come and instead the staff were chatting outside the bar in a group doing nothing (I must note it wasn't a busy night so there shouldn't have been a long wait). Once we got our drinks the guy just placed them down, I asked if we could have water for the table and he pointed to the water bottles across the room and said "it's over there" and walked off. Um okay? Is it not table service? No need to be rude, if I had have been told upon being seated that there was self serve water I would've got it. Also if everything else is table service why do I have to be rudely told to get my own water? The guy then proceeded to just go chat again with the other staff. When our meals arrived the staff member literally chucked our plates down and walked off without saying a word.the bean shoots and stuff slid off the plate onto the table because she just chucked the plate down and she didn't apologise or anything. She had such an attitude of like "I'm too cool to be at work" well ok darl maybe don't get a job in hospo, you aren't cut out for it. The pho all tasted the same despite us all ordering 3 separate styles and it was so bland and lack lustre. The only redeeming food was the fried Cauliflower which was still delicious. Once we were done our empty plates and bowls sat there for about 15 minutes, while the staff continued to just chat in their huddle and do nothing, despite glancing at our table numerous times. Soooo bloody lazy. Like how about coming and clearing our meals and ask how everything was? Show a little personality and service? Is that too much to ask? I will 100% not be coming back. Your service is SO poor and disappointing. Instead of hiring "cool" staff maybe you should hire people who are hard working and friendly.

Great Vietnamese Fusion food.generous serving and fantastic service. The only negative was noodles was too soft.

Friendly staff, average pho with not much meat and they wouldn’t do raw beef. Also, it is not little kid friendly, no high chairs and no change table in the bathroom.

We had an amazing experience here, $10 lunch was definitely the best value for money. Very Generous servings, great pho fusion options. Very clean and well kept venue.

Geelong one not as good as Torquay I don’t know why but broth is terribly sweet and not as much love in the detail: (But the one in Torquay is absolutely perfect:)

Soooo so yummy. We had the most delicious food here! Highly recommend the spicy vegetarian pho and oysters! Great staff, great vibe and nice and warm on a cold and rainy evening.

Scanned QR code to view the menu and order food. The ordering system didn't have any special instructions to add note for the kitchen but attendants were always available to answer queries. Service 5/5

Disappointed in our experience. Asked for a high chair and was advised that the owner does not like them, so does not have them. It doesn’t take much to create an inclusive venue. Service was rushed and somewhat impersonal. I asked for a menu at the bar and they were unable to provide one. No complaints about the food, but unfortunately not good enough to make me overlook the remaining experience to go back again.

A lot of strong points. Fast, good and friendly service, easy ordering with QR code, no booking required, good atmosphere and thumbs up for outdoors. This restaurant is running with the efficiency of a well oiled machine which is impressive.

A key weak point - the food. Our order included some beef phos + a chicken vermicelli noodle salad. It was presented well, but as a big fan of vietnamese food I didn't really like it. They are trying to put their own twist on it and to my taste buds it didn't work. If they could improve this it'd be a great restaurant, because I appreciated everything else. Also ideally a high chair would be useful.

Excellent food (and you can easily enter no coriander). We have been here several times, it's always good.

Quick & friendly service. Large serving sizes. Not totally traditional but items were tasty and fresh. Would definitely go back again. BONUS ordered Schooners and received Pints

The place is so much fun and delicious! It’s great for winter for a hot bowl of soup and summer for something light! The food is so flavorsome! Love it every time I’ve been!

Had to see what all the fuss was about because this place is always so so busy. It’s a very informal setup. You just sit wherever they can find a spot for you. Reminds me of a night market. Staff are friendly and meals are brought out quickly. Food is presented beautifully. Flavours are there as well and it’s enjoyable to eat. Prices are more on the expensive side though so just be prepared to have deep pockets when eating here.

Tasty pho. Highly recommend. Love the online ordering system. Convenient, quick and easy. Service is very quiet and efficient.

Best fusion Pho in town, never a dull dish here. Staff are very courteous and ample seating. They don't do bookings, only walk in which is great as most restaurants only do bookings especially during COVID-19.1hour Max time, which isn't enough when you are out to dine. No high chairs or boosters, so please consider if you have kids who need this.
New system has tap, order and pay. Hope they do serve minor population who still has no phone and use Cash only.
Something for Phoklore to definitely consider
- 1.5 hours at least would be better for dine in
- Get HIGHCHAIR, you cannot expect families with young kids to dine on a stool!
Otherwise this place is 5Star!

When i went with the family, the Pho had absolutely no flavour. I had to ask the chef for salt hoping it would save it. Unfortunately it did not. Maybe they watered it down due to how busy it was?

This is a Vietnamese fusion hidden GEM!
I brought a friend here for lunch she had the Saigon espresso martini, i had the lychee martini it was delicious.

For entree, My friend ordered the wonton it was nice but the soup was super spicy!
I had the pork spring rolls they are one of these I have ever had.

For a main meal
I had the chicken pho. It was full of flavour hands down one of the best Vietnamese meals I have ever had.

Been here number of times since it opened almost a year ago and it’s normally really great and welcoming when I’ve brought my dog but tonight I felt really unwelcome because of one staff member. I was initially welcomed in with open arms and then a different staff member who took over hosting the door asked me to put my dog on a short lead and when I gave my dog a chew treat she told me it was a bad look for the restaurant and asked me to take it away. My dog was well behaved and not annoying anyone so I’m very puzzled why we received this treatment. I left without finishing my meal because I felt so uncomfortable being there. The rest of the staff were friendly but it was all destroyed by this one person. It has left a really bad taste in my mouth and I don’t think we’ll be back.

Pholklore was really nice the food was great plenty to choose from and what we ordered was full of flavour and well presented. Reasonably priced a good size meals. The only negative was that because it's Covid we had to be In and out in an hour sitting, so a little rushed. A nice venue to eat at especially when we get into the summer weather.

I have driven past this location many many times and see crowd lined near entrance. Seems to be very popular among young people. One odd day we checked out and food was amazing. They use lots of fresh ingredients. The flavor profile was built on fresh produce to start on. They give plenty of herbs with their dishes. The potion size is very generous.
We had spring rolls, rice paper roll and seafood Laksa. Had lime bitters to drink.
Spring roll had crispy coating than usual pastry wrap. I assume dipped in rice batter before getting fried. It was filled with meat the best spring roll ever had hands down.
Our rice paper rolls had flathead tails inside and it was creamy, fresh delight. Also one best tastiest rice paper roll.
But the crown goes to seafood Laksa. We got Large bowl to share between two of us and we were full by half of it. It was filled with succulent seafood. It was full creamy delight. The generous use of ingredients comes through the flavor.
Vibe in restaurant is more young and hip. Lovely place but they didn't have child seats. But food was so good we didn't even care.
At the end of the meal we both agreed this is a meal we enjoyed having after long time. Hats off the Chef, staff and people who are running this place. It's a good team effort.
