PHO Hung Preston reviews
85 Good place to stop and have lunch with current and ex-colleagues!
We all ordered Pho and vietnamese ice coffee for lunch, the food came out quick and was nice and hot.
Pho tasted good, serving size was reasonable and vietnamese ice coffee was okay.
One of my favourite places for Pho. Consistently fabulous food and the service is always impeccable.
Taste of Phó never changes, must try Prawn spring wrapped with fresh lettuce. Very friendly staff there.
I absolutely adore the Pho at this restaurant. The rich and aromatic flavors of the broth were so yummy! And the tender slices of meat added a perfect touch. What made the dining experience even more enjoyable was the cozy ambiance. The warm, inviting atmosphere created a comfortable and welcoming setting that enhanced the overall enjoyment of the meal.
I went to the restaurant on September 21st, 2023. We were able to get seats when we arrived at the restaurant before 7: 45.
The beef brisket I ordered is the greatest pho I've ever had, in my opinion. The broth is flavorful and fresh, and the noodles are supple. The crunchy deep-fried spring roll is well complemented by the crisp fresh cabbage. Deep-fried quail with salt and pepper is another meal to try.
Hot tea and water are available for self-service at no charge. Despite the large number of customers, service was adequate.
Renovating the eatery is necessary.
First job when arriving in Australia. After moving to another job, I still often come here with my family. Good food.dedicated service. Wishing your family good health. It's been 20 years so fast.
Revisit after 3 years. Still crowded. My Pho came at last. But where’s the tripes? They got our order wrong. The portion are as big as before and soup taste good as before. But the meat is less. Overall ok.
Finished marketing at Preston market nearby. Walk in, decent crowd. Check prices ok. The pho is good but not excellent. All other dishes are ok. Big portions
One of the. Best Vietnamese Restaurant.in Preston Such a wonderful staff, the owner is very kind and polite:) highly recommended, Authentic Vietnamese cuisine, thank you
This restaurant always serve the best pho. Haven't been here for years. They only have one size, which looks like medium. Flavors still as good as before. The veggies portion serving seems smaller than before. Their grilled pork ball rice cake is very good. The grilled pork ball very tasty. Overall serving and taste is perfect. Tea and water is self serve, which is different from before. Their self serve homemade sauce is still as good as before, which is one of the reason I come back again. Staff service is good. Price also very average. Plenty of parking option nearby, and walking distance from train station and tram stop.
Family fave. Food’s great. Mid range prices so it’s not cheap cheap but who cares. The faves are - rare beef pho, mixed veggies on fried egg noodles, salt & pepper calamari, ester spinach with garlic sauce. No fuss decor - but the food’s just fresh & tasty.
3 stars for the quick service and reasonable priced dishes. Dishes range around $10-$20. We got the rice vermicelli salad and special beef pho. We definitely have had better viet food in Springvale and I gotta say other branches of Pho Hung taste better than this particular branch. All in all, come here for a quick fix but don’t expect anything spectacular. The waiters even sweep the floor with a broom in front of us while we’re eating and they started mopping the floor with bleach. I believe no one likes inhaling bleach while eating.
Haven't been here for ages but from the lovely staff to the exceptional food I loved it! ️
I've been here quite a number of times. At best I've always thought the place was really mediocre.
Won't be going ever again!
I totally agree with the other reviews of extremely poor service and staff attitude.
Just had lunch at Pho Dzhung.
It was absolutely a 0 zero star experience.
Truly wouldn't recommend to anyone.
Altho the lunch came out fast, the service was really really terrible, way below the usual mediocre service at a lot of Vietnamese restaurants.
I had a medium beef pho, and broth was definitely salty and noodles were a really meagre portion.
Arrived at 1pm at lunch and was treated like cattle to get a table by the rude waiter.
The female manager just topped off my experience as she tried to give me a surcharge of when my bill was at $20.
Surcharges are supposed to be given if bill is below $20.
Why are they surcharging cards at $20?
Profiting scam, my dear.
I pointed this out to her, and she became increasingly rude and curt, and even moreso when I told her I was going to give a bad review.
Very bad service and mediocre food definitely deserves a very Bad Review!
Cheap and value- not!
Zero stars.
Food is tasty with reasonable price and male staff is very welcoming and polite.will come back next time
It isn't much to look at but the Pho is really good! My wife (who is Vietnamese) and my in-laws agree.
Fantastic service and food is one of the best in Melbourne. Can’t go wrong with anything on their menu.
The restaurant is simply decorated but with a pleasant atmosphere. Chinese tea is complimentary but self serve. We ordered a combination of fancy meals, beef, seafood and plate of eggs.
Food was delicious priced well & staff were very friendly & smiling
Food came out within 15 minutes
Place was very busy
First time visit, not a good experience. Ordered spring rolls, the lettuces they provided hasn't been washed properly, has a few little fruit flies on each of them, highly recommended you have a good look before eat them. When we pay, they over charged me $12, I'm not sure if this was in purpose or it's an coincidence, because the cashier lady was looking at the order and pressed the prices on the calculator, then told me the price. I paid without a doubt and didn't get a receipt, then I told my husband the amount that we paid, and we did a quick calculation by ourselves, found out it's not right. So I went back to the lady and asked for a receipt, told her it was over charged. Of course she apologised and refund the money, but the whole experience made me feel like they've been quite dodgy. One star for the older waiter's service, one star for the flavour of the pho.
We used to like dining at pho hung in Melbourne CBD, so we thought of giving a try of their branch in preston. The pho broth in here is okay, for us it lacks complexity and the meat portions are rather much smaller than some other pho places we have been to. Regardless it still tastes good but can be better.
