Pho Hoang reviews
36THE BEST PHO PLACE THERE IS! Istg nothing can top this and ive tried so many other places.this is the og.its so nostalgic for me.their broth is everything and i crave this everyday but i havent had it in a while since springvale is a bit far.
Compared to other restaurants, this place is average. The beef tendon has a fishy smell, the beef breast is hard and the raw beef is also hard. The meat only has the taste of black pepper. The soup has too much MSG, but they have a lot of noodles.
Best place to get pho in springvale. In my opinion they also have the best chicken pho. Highly recommend.
This is a little hidden gem. The broth is excellent, the meats are cooked perfectly, brisket is soft, beef balls are bouncy and some chicken pieces still have a nice fattiness to them.
Lots of condiments to add to your bowl, great chilli oil compared to a lot of other vendors. They even have pickled onion and fresh chilli.
Service is honest, it's quick and you get a nice serving size of noodles to meet ratio.
Highly recommend this place over the more popular and line up places
Great beef combination pho! Everything looks clean and super well organised. I’m so glad I came across this place without googling the reviews first. I’d say the low rating is not fair.
We tried Pho Hoang when the usual place we go for pho was closed. The pho was good however the restaurant is small and cramp. The walls were quite dirty. There was food and chilli splatter on the wall of the table where we sat.
Still giving it 4 stars for the quality of the pho. The broth was flavoursome and not too oily. Pho was soft. I love the sliced raw beef, it was just the thickness that I like. Portion size was reasonable.
Will I come back again? Probably only when our usual place is closed as the one we normally go to is much more spacious and clean.
Been there many times last year when I still worked in Dandenong, and haven’t go there for a while, this time still taste great! Good food, fast speed, and good price!
Still my go to place for pho and congee. The beef brisket is out of this world. I haven't been back here for more than 5 years. Portion size has reduced and price increased, and the congee somehow misses the spot. But still good
Will be back again before I head back overseas
I ordered takeaway here or Pho Dac Biet for my family of 3. As always the staff were quick to take my order and I was in and out under 8 minutes. I usually go to the more popular Pho restaurant around the corner that you always see a queue out front of weekends, however I've found this restaurant prepares and serves the pho just as good in terms of flavour and add-on meats and bean shoots etc. I prefer this restaurant now as they're not full on with customers queuing up, however serve just as decent pho as their competition in the area. If I had to make a decision between the most popular and this restaurant, I would have to go with the most popular in terms of pho only. Their service isn't the best especially dining in and atmosphere.
My favourite place for my pho cravings! Super large size of the mixed spare parts are now $15 per bowl. Staff are always very distracted & talks too much amongst themselves, and a little too loud too.
The sauces bottles could do with a decent wipe down as it’s very sticky or oily.
This place was a surprise. I resisted going here and was trying to go next door which was a famous pho place but the line for next door was so long and my buddy wasn't prepared to wait so he dragged me kicking and screaming to this place.
He ordered the combination pho whilst I ordered Chili and salt calamari, spring rolls and dry noodle beef.
The pho came first and I asked to try it wanting to
crow about how I would of been right to wait.but it was good. The noodles were perfectly cooked, nice and slippery with right texture. Broth great lots of meat all perfectly cooked. I was shocked.then came the spring rolls.perfectly crunchy and delicate and the vegetables fresh. The squid was not over cooked as often happens.and the beef noodles were enormous and with the perfect charring on the noodles.
To top it all off, the service was great! What the heck? That doesn't happen in good asian restaurants.so.this was a surprise. I deeply recommend u put this on Ur try if u live in the area
I had no issues here! The pho was good and it tasted very authentic. It was not priced at $15 so quite happy.
This place has one of the best pho. But I won't be coming back to this place ever again due to the unprofessional cashier and waiter. I felt like I owed them something because whenever I request extra sauce, they don't like it. The look on the staff face and expression to customer is just over all sad. And it is just not one time, it happened about a few times mow. This is so annoying to deal with and I am not taking any of it. Peace out.
Ps. To the cashier: Are you ok? If you hate ur job so much please just quit.
Best Pho in Melbourne, clean clear broth full of flavour and the pickle onion is to die for! However, The chili oil not as good as before.
I don't like giving bad reviews but this restaurant's food was very poor. I ordered a prawn and pork rice paper roll and some noodle soup and the food was below average. The prawns in the roll were not fresh. Will not be coming back.
We were served by an unprofessional cashier upon paying our bills, didn't know basic manners and forced us to pay cash when the center's closed. Please stop avoiding taxes and clean the toilets.
Love this place. Food and service as real as it comes. Noticed some new staff every now and then but the familiar faces seem to be back. Before COVID-19 I would have it weekly. Happy to be easing back into it again.
Great Pho place in Springvale, just outside the main markets. I've tried a few in the area and this one is probably the best one out of all. Silky rice noodles, great broth and good cuts of meat. Not as busy as the other ones on the area.
I would not reommend anyone who wants to try Vietnamese Phở soup to come here. The "Tả pí lù phở" (mixed meats phở soup) is not good. First impression when I try the soup was good. However, the more I ate the more I was disappointed. The flavour is not traditional Phở soup flavour. In "Tả Pí Lù" option, we got a bit of every kind of beef and chicken meat. Meats were tasteless. My partner try "Bún Bò Huế" which was not really "Bún bò Huế". It was merely the no flavour fatty soup with noodle and beef. And once again, the meats were tasteless and smelly.
My favourite Vietnamese pho shop in Springvale. Good broth, and perfectly match with pickle onion. The flat noodle cook in perfect timing, not too soft.
